    One of the absolutely most extraordinary interpreters and performers these days. His emotional and intellectual scythe cuts right to the composer's original inspiration and his expressivity knows no bounds. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant harpsichordist.

    the complexity of Pancrace Royer doesn't cease to captivate me. It is beyond fascinating, it seems so out of time...

    Non riesco a non sentirla tutti i giorni... la musica è magnifica e anche "moderna" potrebbe essere usata ai giorni nostri tranquillamente... e poi come è suonata dal Maestro con che sensibilità e cura nell'impasto sonoro ! sembra cantata ... bravissimo

    One of my all time favourite pieces. Enjoyed the masterclass of Mencoboni, his concert with ensemble and that he could sit next to me after the break of the Hesp XXI-concert in Utrecht (Early Music Festival 2017).

    So beautiful it almost aches in the heart. I wish someone would make also an arrangement of this to voice/voices (+lyrics), accomp. by the harpsichord (not that it is neccesary - the performance&interpretation and the harpsi.' sound have it all. Thanks.

    Diderot said of Boucher that he was the greatest living painter but also the most dishonest! I think that "dishonesty" was the visual entitlement to sensuality and pleasure that turned the stomachs of the next generation of philosophers who codified middle class morality. But you capture an inebriating feast of sensuousness in this playing. I cant imagine it being more beautiful. You have captured in sound the perfectly rendered derrière of Boucher. :-}

    Royer è un anticipatore del romanticismo, forse di Schubert. Royer è un visionario, uno squilibrato. Un genio.

    • @emanuelabotta3955

      Royer e' uno che faceva economia di idee, mentre spendeva molto in mestiere e tecniche aggradanti per i committenti. Decisamente idoneo per questo qui.

    Is this Baroque? Is there pre Baroque harpsichord music? It sounds Baroque

    • @mencken8
      @mencken8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He was music teacher to Louis XV of France’s kids, so, yeah, pretty much a contemporary of J.S. Bach and definitely Baroque. But to me, his music is somehow different....

      Very much baroque, not Frescobaldi, d’Anglebert kind of baroque, but still very baroque.

    Le titre "L'Aimable" laisse penser qu'il s'agit d'un morceau plaisant et souriant. Mais je pense qui il faut prendre 'aimable' dans le sens de "qui peut peut-être aimé.e" car cette musique me parle de l'amour et ses peines. C'est dans cet esprit que Marco Mencoboni le joue en tout cas, et c'est magnifique.

  • @bertrandporot8177

    Ce type d'interprétation est complètement dépassée et défigure la pièce: au XVIIIe siècle, on ne changeait pas de clavier incessamment (sauf indications) et comme le recommande Couperin, on ne fait pas de rubato. De plus les tremblements se prennent par la note supérieure (voir tables de Couperin et Rameau). Ce monsieur transforme cette pièce calme et tranquille en une vision romantique agitée avec un esprit pianistique inadapté. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi il joue du clavecin…

    Please write down how each string sounds separately. Open these .wav files for free access. To home any person on the computer to play on the MIDI keyboard with such an excellent sound. To record each string separately for 10 seconds will result in approximately 10 minutes of personal time spent. I take care of the rest of the sound processing. You just need to find a good microphone and a computer for recording and that's it. Send me a file in which the sound of individual strings I cut into separate files and process the equalizers and as a result a ready-made digital musical instrument.

    • @xdranzer0004
      @xdranzer0004 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but a MIDI keyboard can hardly replace the touch of a real harpsichord.
