Wow we are starting in a really similar situation! A few thousand on a chase card and about 24k in student loans 😊 let’s crush it!!!

It’s tiring but you will see the finish line and you be glad you stayed the course! “Rome wasn’t built in a day” Keep going the numbers are decreasing so you are doing all correct 😊🙏🏾👍🏾🙌🏾🇬🇧

This was extremely helpful! I'll be setting up my 2020 budget this way as well. It makes it easy to do a lookback to see how far you've come.

2:34 The interest rate on credit cards is sooooo high that the cost of carrying revolving debt *completely crushes* any savings (which is not the same as the _deferred spending_ of sinking funds). Stomping out that cost should *absolutely* no doubt about it be your top priority. (No, I'm not a Ramseyite...)
This means that you'll probably have to put some (most?) transition costs on a CC, but it is *manifestly cheaper* to pay revolving debt which starts at $0 than to barely chip away at $2400 growing at 17% or more.

I understand the need to save for future plans, but if you want to be debt free, check out the Snowball Debt Payoff method. Living frugal won't seem so bad when you see those numbers going down as quickly as they do!

U should try to see if u could pay the chase card.... And like is worse case u can put the student loans on hardship and u save everything and when ur settledown than u would start again in the student. Loans

Is your savings amount your emergency fund plus all of your sinking funds savings together? I'm making my overview now and I'm not sure what amount to put there. Thanks!

car in the city- no need for a car if you have reliable transportation. Your hubby is not 12 to be playing games especially if he dont have a job.
