Don't over water. After you water them the first time, check the soil each day. If it's dry, give it a little more water. Don't drown it.

Would it work from the seeds out of the chillies or should I buy seeds?
Might seem a silly question but I've never grown anything and cook alot with chillies.

Straight from a chilli is good. They germinate faster.

Either. You can literally open a chili up and dump the seeds in a pot, or just buy a pack of seeds.

You can start chili seeds off from January, up to the end of March. January would be better as the longer you give them, the more time they have to ripen.
