    I was debating between the OnePlus Nord N20, Samsung A53 and Google Pixel 6a based on price range and reviews. Although the A53 and Pixel have better specs, better cameras and more years of OS support/upgrades, I didn't go with them for the following reasons: 1. When I demoed them, the A53 was sluggish and the Pixel got too hot. 2. Both A53 and Pixel had a default yellow background color which bothered me. They only turned white at maximum brightness which was painful to look at. Images on both phones looked dull unless I used maximum brightness which hurt my eyes. I knew I wouldn't happy with the A53 and Pixel because of the issues above, so I took a chance on the OnePlus and am so glad I did. It's super fast, images are vivid, the white background is pure white at all brightness levels and comfortable to look at, it stays cool, a battery charge lasts a long time, it has a earphone port, it's bluetooth works perfectly with my car, the signal is strong and I don't have texting issues (since I use Google message). Best of all, I paid only $260 (unlocked from Best Buy). I know the camera is not as good, but memories are more important to me than boasting about 10,000,000 MP resolution (which most people don't care about anyway). I also know that the OS will only reach Android 12, but my previous phone was only at Android 8 and I survived. I'm so happy with this phone and feel I got an incredible value.

    Phone jack and micro SD card for a budget phone! How do you explain that? This phone has insane value. Forget about 4K and other useless things. I change the display on my Samsung from 4K to 720 and don't see any difference. Also there's no difference between 1080P and 4K videos on my LG TV. And don't forget about large size files from 4K that quickly gobbles up the memory. Go to Best Buy and hold this phone in your hand it just feels right, size and weight. Why waste money on glass and metal and make the phone heavy when it's gonna get obsolete in 2 years?!

    Bought this phone on black friday for $80 CAD off, with the nord buds bundled in for $6. Seemed like a fantastic budget option compared to anything else I was looked at. Especially from the meager Canadian carrier options. My only reservation is the gaming performance. I don't really had an idea of the upper limit of a budget chipset. Will it run marvel snap? bloons tower defense 6 on high levels? is there any chance it runs Apex Legends or Genshin Impact? 🧐

    • @MONEYM0NDAY
      @MONEYM0NDAY ปีที่แล้ว

      Love the phone so far. Great battery life. Oled screen is awesome. Gaming was both good and bad. Apex had some stutters. Fortnite was completely unplayable performance. Genshin impact was actually pretty decent 45 fps on medium-low. Everything lighter than that runs perfectly. Mario Kart tour, AC pocket camp, Muse dash, Marvel snap, Minecraft, colorful stage. 👍

    Just received the T-Mobile version on Friday to replace my aging Xperia XZ1...
    After a weekend of use, have had no complaints. Aside from the single speaker, the phone literally checks off all of the boxes I need in a phone. Not to mention, it's only costing me $11/month w no $$ down.
    Thanks for the heads up on this one!!!

      Ok ..a full week+ usage...
      My biggest gripe about this phone is the somewhat useless Always-on display, in conjunction w the phone having no notification LED... it's a bit wicked-annoying...
      Other than that, the phone really is a speedy beast to use...it works flawlessly w my home/auto LDAC setups, and since I don't dig super deep in the phone settings, the simplistic customization menus are actually more to my liking.
      Probably gonna keep this phone for awhile.

      I am leaving this message for anyone here, including the uploader, who may know what's happening:
      (1st issue) Sometimes, when I receive a text message, the message appears at the top of all my messages. This forces me to scroll all the way to the top just to read the entire message. Also, it's indicating that it was received in December of 1969.
      (2nd issue) In my car, I have the option to set the 4 most important contacts on the main screen and everytime I start my car, the contacts are erased and I end up having to re-store those contacts over and over again. Never had a problem with other phones except this one.
      Can someone let me know what could be occurring and if it's happened to you as well?? Thanks.

    *been using this phone for a month now and so far it's been really good. Only thing I hate and this isn't just on this phone other one plus phones have been having the same problem, is that sometimes my new text messages will DISAPPEAR and be MOVED to the very top of the thread and the date says 1969 lmao like tf. So far there hasn't been any way to fix that so one plus users have to wait for another update to fix that. Also I hate how in the developer options it gives you the option to use DESKTOP MODE like Samsung dex but it doesn't actually work. But other than that this phone has been amazing*

      There have to be some compromises at that price point. The 5G is on ATT and not OnePlus. ATT is being unreasonable with a lot of folks but that's going to be any device that isn't ATT branded or sold. When you factor in $299 for the performance and display, it becomes a contender. Have you used one?

    And I'm so happy with it and it's good and look beautiful and pretty good for under 300$ and it comes with a fingerprint in display and the Hz I'm happy with it's not bad and the snapdragon chip is excellent, I played truck simulator on it and it did a great job and the design looks beautiful in my opinion and the display looks so much better then the last OnePlus I had yeah and the battery is excellent when I got to bed and have it on the charger it's doesn't overcharge it will stop at 100% , there is some things I gave up for this phone but after having it for a month of having it I'm sold yeah the speaker is not super loud and it's not 90 Hz like my last phone but, that's okay with a phone at this budget alone I'm glad I sacrificed my last phone.
