Johnson was abused by his own fans, then deactivated social media, then kicked 6 goals in 6 games. We did win 5 in a row. Had a couple of away wins. Kept a couple of clean sheets. I think it's possible that Ange can fix it. Just support the guy and the team for now. It's a results base job, if the team doesn't get results eventually Ange will be replaced. Then history will repeat itself at the club. But let's hope we will won something as supporters. We currently are still in all competitions. COYS
I wonder... If we had Ten Hag and we won 2 trophies last 2 seasons, would we still want Ten Hag in after we thrashed them? Ange hasn't even had his first proper season, it's only 7 games in, Spurs fans say "we're going to win the PL" after a win, then "Ange out" when we loose. Lads need to calm down, take a loss on the chin, keep believing, long term plan takes a long time.
@@Aaronj24 Nope, total amount of money paid was £352 million, but we got back more than £147.5 million from sales. Not the worst start in 17 years as we’ve won all games in Europa League and Carabao Cup. Ten Hag has spent more than £616 million since he was appointed. So almost double the amount Ange has had to work with. Ange still finished above him last season. You are twisting information to tell the narrative you want to tell.
I am a new Spurs fan, not from the Uk, but I have started watching the spurs and the premier league because of Ange, I used think football was a bit boring... I think a lot of what Ange says is in relation to team culture change and not always the immediate term... Also noticed the extreme reactions from one win or loss to the next is a bit weird... Not sure if that's a Prem thing or a Spurs thing...
Its a spurs thing, as a fanbase many of us are at the end of our patience, we've endured mediocre football and a lack of success for decades. It's gone on for too long
Spurs have always been this way for as long as I remember, teams that do consistents win league titles we won two in our history. Even our most successful manager only won one league, what you have is fans just wanting something that’s never going to happen and are just waiting for a result like that one to come and told ya, as the saying goes “misery loves company, Ange is our best bet so get behind him coys
Ange is a man of habit. He won't change his ways for anyone, and he certainly won't budge. He's sticking to what he knows best, and if you're expecting him to improvise, you can forget about it. This is his way, take it or leave it.
@SonnyTalksSpurs funnily enough I was having this exact conversation with a friend of mine today. I think the Brighton game has given everyone a shake … including Postecoglu.
We should just move on to the next game and get behind the team again. That lose was on the players. Hopefully they learn a lesson and be ready for the next match. Coys!!
Ange cant fix what he created, because he cant adapt his tactics. He is like a horse with blinkers, only sees one direction.Good managers adjust and tweak to what is happening in the moment. They dont stand like a statue and shake their head!Good managers dont give away their tactics in pre game interviews.SPL,A league,Jleague are his level.
Sonny, have you watched a replay of the game? I finally decided to push the pain barrier and watched it a 2nd time. Overall Timo has improved. In the first half, his header was disallowed because of Porro being offside. Had that been a goal, we would have been going in at half time with 3 goals. He also gave the assist to Maddison's goal. There were other chances missed by Kulu and Johnson. Towards the end of the 1st half both Mitoma and Wellbeck were starting to get into the rhythm of play. Porro was no match for Mitoma. Both VDV and Romero were being outclassed. VDV did not appear his usual self. Vicario was starting to get edgy, especially after Brighton had scored their 1st goal. Once the momentum shifted, it was a downhill projectory. No one stepped up, least of all Romero. Very sloppy play and poor decision making by both our defence and eventually our attacking players. I am still perplexed why Ange didn't bring on the Subs straight away after that 1st goal was conceded. Also why he didn't bring on Spence. There are alot of players on the pitch that didn't step up when it really counted. That mindset needs to change, or Ange will change the dressing room and some players may not like it.
Stretching it a bit trying to blame the chairmen on how the players took their foot off the gas in the second half against Brighton, is this more we MUST not blame Ange 😆nothing to do with manger - don't you dare criticise him !!✌
Not losing my head because it was just one game but I would like to see Ange react to other coaches's changes quicker. For me Hürzeler pushing Estupinan higher up caused Porro more problems because Mitouma is a handful and Johnson refused to defend. If it happens say two more times then it's a deficiency rather than an oversight.
I think we're too thin a squad to keep up with all competitions while playing fast-paced Ange ball. Fatigue is likely the reason why the game changed at Brighton.
If spurs stick to the game plan to a tea its a proven winning formula. It involves the team commiting and giving thier all whilst following a winning philosphy. If someone messes up it can go wrong, if a team doesnt commit it will go wrong.
How many players did we get in the transfer window that went straight into the Starting 11 that should be what we look at first because all man United signings are starting only 1 from us Dom,.. I believe we would have been better had we got players who were better than what we have or at least as good.... Look at who we placed as Son's replacement after his injury,... I believe in Ange until the last min, yeah sometimes I loose my cool but never want him out because sometimes the players do let us down too...
I don't think Ange recognises player limitations; whether it be form, injuries, system understanding or plain levels of fitness. There is that old saying that you are only as good as your weakest link. Whereas Ange plays to his strongest link, ie. his philosophy. He doesn't seem to understand the individual first, and then blending those individuals into a unit that can last a full match of football. He is playing 'pie in the sky' football. Because one player might be coming good, or having a good spell of form, just as another is waning, getting injured, or is having other issues, which no-one knows about because they have no one on the footballing side to talk to. Too many games, grow-up, treated like shit as in the case with Djed Spence, or they are just plain burnt out because they are injured or just knackered because of the demands of the style of play. Another old saying; 'you cant get blood out of a stone'. And it doesn't help when we are only a few games into the season when Ange makes the pre and post match comments that he did. Throwing the players under the bus. Ange doesn't get it , and he just cant cut it. COYS.
Mateeee you laughed at me for being pissed off that we will seemingly never pay 100 million for a player. And I also said we didn't do enough in the summer, Timos a joke and.Wilsons cheaper than Eze. I don't blame Ange I blame Levy. We needed much more. And we will win nothing and finish around 7th. Glad I didn't buy a membership for the first time in 40 years!
Love sports butI’m new to watching premier league. The flip-flopping culture of English soccer fans is really noticeable. What happened to fans supporting their team. Too quick to throw the baby out with the bath water and call for Ange out. What I recall is Spurs fans cheering for Manchester City til July. Is that ‘Spursy’ behaviour?
No he didn't. The problem is the players continuously fail when they need to raise up to the occasion. But fans immediately wants to get rid of the manager. This is history repeating. The players are didn't match Brighton intensity in the second half. They stop trusting each other and playing our style.
Throwing the players under the bus? Really? He was being honest. He said that was the first time he felt like we haven’t put in. One year in. He wasn’t saying they were bad players. He wasn’t pointing to individuals. He was saying he was disappointed by the effort put in and we needed to do better. He also took responsibility and said it’s his role to make us do better. Honestly- FFS. The coach before him didn’t want to be here. Ange is doing all he can to get us there and some fans just want to sit in their lounge chairs and throw stones. As if he was responsible for the past 15 years.
@@rogerpayne5336 I think it was necessary, those players did not fight on the pitch..Personally I can call out the captain of the day,Cuti should up his game when the chips are down

Every player has a responsibility and changes or starting players are part of the consideration of burnout. If people aren't prepared to trust this process under this manager, Spurs will unlikely be in any better position.....previous years failures have already been confirmed. If there is no structure or balance in any team sport, failure will inevitably occur. Postecoglou has stated his intentions of player requirements, to stay or be purchased.
