Ange's approach is refreshing to a degree, but he's gona have to be more pragmatic or face the sack. This clearly isn't working at the moment. Any team who parks the bus and hits Spurs on the counter is probably gona beat us. Hence why better teams who come at us we are battering them.
I don’t think the negativity would be as much had we not lost away at Palace, Brighton and Newcastle. As it stands we constantly see us perform well and then we’re awful, it’s too much inconsistency throughout the season to date.
No team, no manager, can cope with such a thin squad. And now injuries (Fulham have more depth, as do most teams). We over achieved last year under Ange and now we don't have the squad to cope with Europe. And we are the youngest team, children in EPL terms.
@@SonnyTalksSpurs I would like to think that he can but I don’t know. I love some of the football that we play BUT we need to see it more often. We need to be able to have players come in and out through rotation and when injuries/suspensions occur and not be immediately so vulnerable. I think that there is a possibility that our tactics only work against set opponents tactics. I’m prepared to see how he does until the end of this season but IF we continue as we are then I can only see this ending one way and unfortunately that would be without Ange at the helm.
Ange Postecoglou must improve his management of Tottenham's resources. While injuries are unavoidable, the squad's underperformance stems from poor player utilization and misplacing players. Daniel Levy's historical lack of sufficient managerial support is a recurring problem, but Postecoglou must find creative solutions within the current squad. Previous managers like Martin Jol, Harry Redknapp, and Mauricio Pochettino overcame similar challenges. The recent disappointing results (draws with Leicester and Fulham and losses to Palace and Ipswich) demand immediate improvement; excuses are unacceptable for a top-six club. With Porro and Udogie looking exhausted, risking further injury, fresh options like Spence and Reguilon should be utilized this season.
We have potential. With a deeper squad of players that Ange wants and work with his system, we can do things. I’m wondering if fans and press really understand just how long a good rebuild can take. The start to the season last year distorted our view of what we can reasonably expect from the first couple years of a project.
Sonny, I do not know the numbers, but can you comment on some. A manager is paid to create a system that generates good goal scoring opportunities, players are paid to convert those chances. What are the stats for expected goals and then converted? IF the expected goals is down, Ange takes the blame. If conversions are down the players take the blame.
I appreciate your content compared to other content creators which I find some very negative and you are so right about the toxic fan base. Keep up the good work 👍
Great pod Sonny. Funny thing is about the plan B argument at Brighton, the players thought they could take a break and shut up shop, and then couldnt go up a gear when required. As Ange said, the squad isnt built to shit up shop, they have the wrong sort of players. Hoddle said recently the olayers were playing like they had already won. That seems to be the case in a few games, including Brighton. Probably part of why they arent consistent yet.
The inconsistency comes from the squad, you need a depth squad with quality . Specially when we are playing 2 games a week, We have good players but we need several great players.
What I find funny is the fact that If we were offered 4 points from city and Fulham before we played City 99% of us would have said ill take that.... We got that and yet everybody is complaining. Doesn't sit right with me
While I understand the frustration the fans feel sometimes. I believe in the project. I can see the building happening. First, with infrastructure such as the stadium and training ground. Due to this, we are generating more financial strength. I see the players we have bought as a further building block toward greater success on the field. I believe in Ange and his philosophy, I love the way we can play when it all clicks. I hated watching my team under Conte and Mourinho. It is about how we approach the game and the way we play that has always drawn me to Spurs. Have faith, it takes time to build a winning team. Sure, there are teams above us that can throw money at players. Sometimes it works, but often not, or not for long. We have a massive number of great young players that, given time, will blossom, and we will see the results we want. Plus, as finances become stronger, we can then attract a few big name stars who want to be in a team that is going places. That is my take, and I believe in Ange and even Levy. We are on a sound financial footing, have a great stadium etc. And are building a strong team with youth that will mature as we grow. I am commited to the ride. I believe. COYS From a Brit living in America with a Premium Season Ticket, no I am not rich, but I am commited. We will see success we have to go along for the ride.
it shows that we still haven't fully rebuilt the squad. We have to have 25 players who can play to the highest level even if it costs a lot of money! All things considered we are doing reasonably well. Keep expectations real. My big worry is that Ange will field kids against Tamworth and we get knocked out by them in the FA Cup! LoL!! Rich of Gallagher to call us frauds - from an overrated, limited talent Beatles tribute band member!
Are we the only club that questions a managers position after every game? It’s fucking ridiculous. He is so well suited to this club. Back this man. I don’t know how people aren’t over these discussions.
In my opinion, Timo and Brenan Johnson are a great duo, but idk if sonny should play more, ange really needs to pick his players more properly and needs to get the teams consistency
we had the most goals in the league before Fulham mate and we went in with an extremely depleted squad against the second best performing team in the league according to expected points lol check your context
Sonny, I was anxious to get some balance in my thoughts about our Manager but a) this fulham squad wasnt alot different to the Man City squad, b) AP was categoric that he had the squad he needed when the season kicked off whilst many said we were worryingly short given european adventures and league demands - it didnt take a rocket scientist to see how woefully short we are (dont get me started on the likes of Spence) given how our manager choses to play ..but he would know that. It strikes me that he is bullish enough in addressing things he doesnt like but not when it comes to the important discussions with our parasitic Chairman. I have no idea how you can excuse our defence and forward line - dont blind yourself to 'stats' when your eyes tell you some of our defensive displays have been child like and our forward line is at best inconsistent...this weekend our best two players were defenders yet we are a front foot team apparently..if so, where were they? (Ange Ball - dont make me laugh ) Our Manager's approach to play entertaining football might be fine for back water leagues or the playground but this is the PL. Theres nothing new here - its all been done before at this Club and it didnt work then - in fact its never worked, which is why seasoned, multi trophy winning, managers dont play this way. Tactical, intelligent and adaptable management with the ability to coach and improve players should be a prerequisite on the job description not a preference. Our situation isnt the Managers fault, he is doing what he has been employed to do - entertain the masses and give the Company a chance of european football. That keeps the cash rolling in. Supporters are little more than cannon fodder, a regrettable necessity (for the time being) attached to a multi-franchise business, not a Football Club, and platforms like this, and others, serve little more than to feed the algorithms. Sad but true. Appreciate the content and trying to offer an alternative view but this is short of a ringing endorsement of our Ozzy cousin, I would give it a... "C - must try harder"
Fans have the right to be optimistic and pessimistic about Ange. Results like City show what he’s capable of. Results like Ipswich show how this risky system may give inconsistent results. He may be the messiah and bring success but it’s possible the system may never bring consistency at this level.
Totally backing Ange. This is a rebuild and he promised us bumps in the road. I’m excited to see where he can take this club after a couple more transfer windows.
Sonny the stat to look at was the City game, Spurs players ran 5k further then EVERY City player during that game. Ange will always struggle to do that every 3 games as is the current game schedule, it will decimate the squad with injuries and effect gaining any momentum, the results seem to back this up.
Are you sure that stat doesn't reveal more about City than Spurs? MC didn't run against Liverpool either on the weekend and Liverpool ran them off their feet. It's how you become an elite team. Unless you're happy just competing for 4th position for the next ten years.
@@seanlynch1185 Not sure it has anything to do with City looking at ALL the spurs results and performances after big games and decent wins. My point is if that is how you want to play then Ange is years off having a good enough squad to play that system every 3 days. He may well get there but we are looking 3 seasons plus. If the plan is LONG term then Ange needs to start telling the fans that in his press meetings.
@@TooDarnSoulful It is so much rubbish to expect Ange to tell the truth at press meetings. We don't have the squad yet to be consistent, both in age, and in depth.
I don’t think that’s right, but I think you’ve raised a good point. Our players are now playing 2-3 games per week and are getting used to the endurance required to do that with the intensity that we play with. Their bodies are still getting used to it. We didn’t play 2-3 games last year. Over time the players muscles will get more accustomed to the amount of work required. We will also need to strengthen our squad depth, so will need to bring in some more players in the upcoming windows. Our young players are also gaining experience right now which is only going to make them better in the future. The wins against Man City, Aston Villa and Man Utd show us that we can compete with the best. Am confident we will do it sustainably if we give these young players time. Up the mighty Spurs ⚪️👍
If we want to achieve great in the next few years Ange is the perfect guy. He will make transfers in and transfers out and we will see. We need to work with what we have for now but it wasn't going to be easy
Ange is the right person for the job. Give him time and the outcomes will be achieved. Trophy this year and 4th position in the league. Just have faith on his past achievements 🙏
Injuries and suspensions ALWAYS happen. Its a squad game, no matter how good the first 11 picked are.ANGE had the chance over summer to bring in the right players to be consistently 4/5/6.He bought in untried, inexperienced youngsters. One experienced player and a Chelsea REJECT.Thats not good enough.Everybody with half a football brain knew and said that.8 more games in December and 8 in January. Some more injuries will happen and players will recover from existing ones.ITS DIFFICULT but AP knew what was coming and didnt prepare properly.I dont think hes the manager in 2 months.IF,you are religious start praying.Thats the only thing that will save his job...LEVY will see a European spot slip away and along with it the extra REVENUE and thats what it's about for him.Tottering LEVspurs! thats the new name after the new logo!
What most worries me is it was obvious to even Stevie Wonder we we getting done down the right for.the WHOLE game and Ange did NOTHING to change it. Could have put Gray or Spence or both there!
I think it's worth mentioning that Spurs have been absolutely awful to watch against Palace and Ipswich as well. And that was our best team then. And whilst VDV Romero and Vic are out, Forster Davies and Dragu have done really well. I think a lot of the frustration naturally comes from such a weak transfer window. Signing kids who are not ready makes no sense whatsoever. Then Ange says we haven't got enough players 🤷🏽♂️ Why be so happy to sign kids then. As for Ange changing it up, well we didn't play the incredibly high line and possession football against City twice and it worked. Then we go back to playing the high line and Fulham got in so many times and let's be honest should have battered us. I'm not sure which way this is gona go, but there are times when you need to be pragmatic. If we carry on getting beat by poor teams but beating good teams then he'll probably get the sack. I have to say I think Simon Jordan is right.
You're clutching Sonny. Win lose win lose win lose win lose Any other coach would have seen the vast majority of the fanbase turn by now. I kind of admire that many of you want to like him, but if we carry on this win/lose pattern all season thats a mid table finish. And thats not good enough. It isn’t really worse than winning 19 then losing 19 in a row really. You'd all 100% sack a coach if he lost 19 in a row, so why not 19 every other game?
@@SonnyTalksSpurs 100% true...that has been a problem for years yet seemingly many fans just accept it until we lose players then they complain..our transfer policy is so clueless and every season were behind the 8ball ... we spent nearly all out budget on kids..wtf do they really think that will achieve .. oh yeah save 30% off your wage bill ..jokers..not serious at all about winning the PL
Good level headed take. I want a trophy. We're right were I expected us to be regarding the league (competing for top four). I dont really care about the pragmatism thing. It's brought him success everywhere he's been. Just win a trophy though!
It helps if opposition players stop endless time wasting and dropping to the ground like flies. Waster goalies eventually get an 89th minute booking for time wasting.
Agree with you about the injuries but my point is Ange seemed clueless to react against Fulham. And think we will get bashed by Bournemouth and Chavski
Unbelievably nieve to suggest he's 'clueless' how can any manager, realistically, be clueless? Let alone a manager like, Ange who's won multiple titles. Maybe he just sees things that you don't? Being that, well, what do you do for a living? Especially, compared to what he does, for a living.
@epec20 calm down dear, I am not suggesting I am a better manager than Ange, but all the fans where I talked as well as many other pundits seemed to notice the issue. I also have been a member/ season ticket holder for 40 years and haven't missed a game in decades, so I think I am entitled to my opinion. And a lot of the PL managers seem to out thin k Ange over our last 20 plus games. We are either great or awful, and his changes rarely seem to influence a game. I also blame the board though, because we obviously needed a lot more players in
40 years and you've learnt very little. so many of you 'fans' are 'clueless'. Even worse, that you've been supporting for 40 years. Which takes us to 1984. I started supporting Spurs in 86. I remember struggling midtable for most of all those years, until Enic. We didn't win much, we didn't have a large fanbase, we had a small stadium without a strong revenue stream. Now we're the 3rd most profitable club in world sport. Not just football. The stadium cost money to build and now it's starting to pay back. It's impossible to buy an entire new squad in one summer window. Especially when we had players to ship out. Considering all these factors we did as well as we could. Woolwich are struggling to win anything and they've been far more stable for years. Utd, supposedly the biggest club in the world, in a complete mess. Spurs, not known for winning anything, yet, fans expecting to beat every team they play, while missing key players, and going through a rebuild. You support your club, players and manager win lose or draw. Especially when they're playing so brilliant football. Highest goals scored too, not a bad start to a rebuild.
@epec20 you're deluded. About half our last 30 games our football has been shocking. Where did I say we should win every game or win anything? And yes we are one of the richest clubs with one of the lowest wage bills and instead of buying Netos we buy Timos and Wilsons. But you think your opinions are all correct. And any other spurs fans who have a different view are all wrong? I feel sorry for anyone knows you
Hi Sonny! Ye a bit over the top but the fans want success like yesterday lol, yes we had injuries and I think vicario would have done better, no disrespect to forster but vicario is better! The city game basically put us into a false sense of security that we would easily beat Fulham, but that's football unfortunately ! Keep up the great work dude!
Sonny…. Totally with you👍👍👍👍👍👍 I think people overlook the endless time wasting by visiting teams…. Also looked over is the deep pools of dirty money that certain teams have who can afford to have £100million pound bench warmers. In fairness Spurs (for the most part) seem to be going about it in the right way….. It takes time.
Sonny how can you defend form of WLWLWLWLDD . Every team has injuries.. this is way I'm baff'd you was happy with the window 1 senior play in and that was it now you can see why the window was awful... please debate savva .. would love to see it
Absolutely 💯 Simon Jordan I'm sure just speaks rubbish to rile people. I mean he tries to act like some kind of expert...but he literally is too scared to actually put his money where his mouth is. As he has proven himself to actually not know how to run a club. Always full of excuses for his own failures.
I am not sure if you spur fans know the game. That well all u complain about is the boss .how about the game who did what who didn't That Analysis the game for God sake.
I have nothing against Ange, I actually like him and really want it to work.. but as usual poor investment/recruitment, lack of depth in the squad guarantees our season is over by the new year. We’ve seen it countless times over the last decade. We’ll go out of the league cup to Utd. We’ll go out of the FA cup the moment we come up against a decent side and the same goes for the Europa League. It doesn’t matter who the manager is.
You're talking bs. Ange came in and had to ship alot of players out. Past mistakes from Spurs has been, signing the wrong players. So rather than repeat the past. The club have learned. And, they're only bringing the right players that they think can make an immediate impact, or players they can develop. We had Dier, Ndombele, LoCelso, Sanchez, Roden, Regulon, Gil. None contributing on the pitch, all taking a big wage. A rebuild takes time. Ange is right at the start of that process.
@ the only thing great about him is his Eric Dier impression. As for the two teenagers.. they do not improve our first 11 either. Which is exactly what I was talking about. You’re too sold on these underwhelming Levy signings. I bet you know your customer reference number off by heart.
Agree with the comments about people complaining. There are always problems to deal with, but at least we have known our problem for 2 decades. ENIC. We have no depth because of the owners.

Ange's approach is refreshing to a degree, but he's gona have to be more pragmatic or face the sack. This clearly isn't working at the moment. Any team who parks the bus and hits Spurs on the counter is probably gona beat us. Hence why better teams who come at us we are battering them.
I think he has switched it up this season
I don’t think the negativity would be as much had we not lost away at Palace, Brighton and Newcastle. As it stands we constantly see us perform well and then we’re awful, it’s too much inconsistency throughout the season to date.
yeah but I think Ange can fix this - do you agree?
We need to make some moves in jan
@ we do and ideally early in January.
Forster was ok at weekend - hopefully a few return soon
Exactly, why Spence isn’t getting more time I do not know, he was great pre season. He should at least be playing in Europe.
He’s not in the squad
Look I'm 100%behind ange he's got a difficult job juggling players around he will get there and bring the trophies to spurs give him time
Rome wasn’t built in a day
@@SonnyTalksSpurs exactly he's a good guy just needs time he will get it right
We have potential. With a deeper squad of players that Ange wants and work with his system, we can do things. I’m wondering if fans and press really understand just how long a good rebuild can take. The start to the season last year distorted our view of what we can reasonably expect from the first couple years of a project.
Potential is the word
Sonny, I do not know the numbers, but can you comment on some. A manager is paid to create a system that generates good goal scoring opportunities, players are paid to convert those chances. What are the stats for expected goals and then converted? IF the expected goals is down, Ange takes the blame. If conversions are down the players take the blame.
Wrong. A manager is brought in to win and make the team competitive. In what world do you live in? lol
I think the foundations are there from ange - side still needs to clip and gain consistency
He has a good system for scoring goals, but he can’t control games and can’t protect the defence
We have seen him do that this season
I appreciate your content compared to other content creators which I find some very negative and you are so right about the toxic fan base.
Keep up the good work 👍
thank you mate!
Specially when we are playing 2 games a week,
We have good players but we need several great players.
Exactly
What I find funny is the fact that If we were offered 4 points from city and Fulham before we played City 99% of us would have said ill take that.... We got that and yet everybody is complaining. Doesn't sit right with me
lol
I believe.
COYS
From a Brit living in America with a Premium Season Ticket, no I am not rich, but I am commited.
We will see success we have to go along for the ride.
Big up great comment
it shows that we still haven't fully rebuilt the squad.
We’re still a long way off
Are we the only club that questions a managers position after every game?
It’s fucking ridiculous.
He is so well suited to this club.
Back this man. I don’t know how people aren’t over these discussions.
In my opinion, Timo and Brenan Johnson are a great duo, but idk if sonny should play more, ange really needs to pick his players more properly and needs to get the teams consistency
Son form is a strange one
We are constantly trying to walk the ball slowly into the box which doesn't work!
we lack zip in some games
I have some good news for you. We have scored more goals than almost any other team in EPL .
we had the most goals in the league before Fulham mate
and we went in with an extremely depleted squad against the second best performing team in the league according to expected points lol
check your context
@@seanlynch1185 That doesn't mean anything when you fail to win.
@@sandycultofthesun A poor excuse.
(Ange Ball - dont make me laugh )
Our Manager's approach to play entertaining football might be fine for back water leagues or the playground but this is the PL.
Big up 🙏
Fans have the right to be optimistic and pessimistic about Ange. Results like City show what he’s capable of. Results like Ipswich show how this risky system may give inconsistent results. He may be the messiah and bring success but it’s possible the system may never bring consistency at this level.
If Harry Kane stayed - and he almost did, Ange would have got Spurs a trophy already or been leading everything now !
This isn’t a bad shout
This won't age well
Why?
@@SonnyTalksSpurs well you have to wait...it hasn't aged yet...but writing why is even more awesome.
lol
I trust Ange. If he can't fix Spurs, nobody can !

Totally backing Ange. This is a rebuild and he promised us bumps in the road. I’m excited to see where he can take this club after a couple more transfer windows.
🙏🙏🙏
The expectations of some supporters and some negative youtubers are wildly out of touch with reality. This team isn't built for top 4 yet.
yeah we are not near yet
It's a tight, tight league this year. If the win was guaranteed, I'd stop being a football fan, period!! COYS
Hahah
The solution is don’t get distracted by Galahs (if not Australian, look it up)…
I’ve learnt something
I support Spurs, not madness. Look Ange is wearing the Emperors new clothes! Its genius how we dont have a plan and never change tactics...EVER!
What do you want then next?
Imagine being Ange having to drag all those crap supporters around like a huge ball and chain. They'd suck the life out of you.
Hahah
Sonny the stat to look at was the City game, Spurs players ran 5k further then EVERY City player during that game. Ange will always struggle to do that every 3 games as is the current game schedule, it will decimate the squad with injuries and effect gaining any momentum, the results seem to back this up.
yeah we need a richer squad to keep up
Are you sure that stat doesn't reveal more about City than Spurs?
Leicester
Newcastle
Crystal Palace
Brighton
Ipswich
Fulham
2 points from 18 = shocking
Not ideal
People are so impatient..Give this man time his on the right path for Christ’s’ sake…
Some more injuries will happen and players will recover from existing ones.ITS DIFFICULT but AP knew what was coming and didnt prepare properly.I dont think hes the manager in 2 months.IF,you are religious start praying.Thats the only thing that will save his job...LEVY will see a European spot slip away and along with it the extra REVENUE and thats what it's about for him.Tottering LEVspurs! thats the new name after the new logo!
lol
You think Spurs would be playing better and more consistent if they got Arne Slot instead?
It’s hard to tell - because slot has inherited a winning squad
What most worries me is it was obvious to even Stevie Wonder we we getting done down the right for.the WHOLE game and Ange did NOTHING to change it. Could have put Gray or Spence or both there!
You talking about the draw to Fulham?
Spence should play more
They want Ryan Mason
Oh god
I think we just judge it at the end of the season

I kind of admire that many of you want to like him, but if we carry on this win/lose pattern all season thats a mid table finish. And thats not good enough. It isn’t really worse than winning 19 then losing 19 in a row really. You'd all 100% sack a coach if he lost 19 in a row, so why not 19 every other game?
But what do you want from this?
@SonnyTalksSpurs I want Iraola!
lets face it the way we play is pretty much the reasons why we have so many injuries..

We're 1 win down and 1 lose up from man city, this is an interesting season

I feel sorry for anyone knows you
@@JTB-THFC you'll get over it
