- This time the Le Beau from Jean Paul Gaultier was the clear winner!
This was as we predicted an easy match for the sweet and playful Le Beau fragrance. Most of the people we talked with preferred the sweet scent rather than the more old-fashion type of vetiver smell that Terre D'Hermes projects.

The first tester girls said it all: Le Beau is more girly and Terre d'Hermès is more for a man.
Hermes isn’t a smell that will present its potential on a piece of testing paper, it is very unique and takes time to sit on the skin and someones character. Unlike paul which smells nice and is suppose to be likeable, so almost everyone can wear it..

Terre D'Hermes smells good to be sprayed in a hotel room not for wearing, it's a more neutral cool and dark scent nothing exciting. Le Beau is a nice sexy inviting cocktail.

Everyone naturally likes sweeter fragrances on a test strip. That’s why in reality on skin Terre d’hermes is known as a “masterpiece” and le beau is known as “le what?”.
One girl said the terre d'hermes was sweet and the le beau was more woodsy? This dude was definitely walking around all day with the tester strips on top of eachother so the juices mixed

Proof u need to smell dry down of fragrances, also women nearly always go for sweet scents n very boring, TdH is very classy n different n a masterpiece 👌
As a man looking to potentially purchase the Hermes fragrance, it's confusing to see these girls choosing the opposition based on it being "more feminine". Surely this is the opposite desired effect a man is looking for in a fragrance...or are they judging it based on the fact that they'd enjoy wearing it themselves? We've got it all wrong guys 🤣
Here’s my take. Scent for scent comparing on a tester strip is almost pointless for many more unique scents. Scents are like an accessory when worn if an attractive man was to walk by a woman and he’s wearing terre d Hermes there’s a strong chance that the scent would be intoxicating. The scent is masculine and assertive and worn by the right man a woman would no doubt be impressed. The other scent is mass appealing and basic hence presents itself well on a test strip due to its presumably linear scent profile. Not that I’ve smelt it, nor care to. Terre d Hermes is an interesting scent which grows on you and leaves you wanting more. It’s not overpowering and will make you stand out in a world full of Dior savauge.

Women like sweet and fresh. Unisex to me is the ideal blend-At least, for my skin.
This was a test doomed to fail from the get go. Hermes is meant to be worn by a man. The dry down presents a much different scent structure then the one you get from a piece of bleached paper. Also, these girls were immature. Plus, the other fragrance is inherently sweeter, which is more pronounced after having it just sprayed on the paper. I'm disappointed.
I own Terre d'Hermes. It is phenomenal.

People also have to remember it’s not always about the cologne a men wears it’s also the look that matters as well you can’t be an ugly looking guy wearing nice expensive colognes I feel like if you’re a good looking man you can pass in wearing almost any cologne and having a great smelling cologne it’s just a plus and girls will fall in love haha

This is a terrible comparison... the woman will gravitate to Le Beau because it is more feminine.. they’re senses will naturally go towards that!! If it was what would you rather your man wore.. Hermes would win.. but it can’t happen with these 2 very different colognes!

I'm 24 years old and wear Terre d Hermes. I got all products from the Terre d Hermes line like the Deo Stick, After Shave, Body and Hair Shampoo and the Pure Parfum and i get a lot of compliments all the time. It's my signature scent and i love it.
Which version you use bro, pure perfume, edt or edp?

Tell I Isn’t something you smell on paper. Some scents just don’t represent well on paper. The true character appears on the real skin.

Terre D'Hermes is magic in a bottle. Personally, I think it's best when it's in the air, around 10 minutes after you spray it on yourself.
i just bought Terre d’Hermès After-Shave Lotion and love it. Just wear it for myself :) Like 20 years ago (maybe 30) I bought a bottle of JPG. I thought it was cheap rubbish and never used it.

Hermes smells better when the weather is warmer, and if you were to compare 1 million and jpg 1 million it would win, women like sweat smells at first, but it all depends on the man who wears the perfume ;)
