I skated the najara colorway (which is actually the ADV model, you’re skating the regular forum) and I gotta say it was by far my favorite shoe, they need to restock the actual forum 84 ADV.
it is the first shoe that truly lacks broad feel because the midsole is so thick. but on the upside it is also the first shoe that is truly soft and comfortable. it feels like walking on a cloud
1) it's good to hear you're moving to a healthier work/life balance. Videos will come more easily and be better the more you're enjoying making them. Look after yourself! 2) Nike SB Force 58 - they seem to have the Nyjah-style slippy soles that I have got used to, but are quite a bit cheaper and have a more traditional sneaker look. I'm not sure if they'd be great or just meh and would appreciate *an expert opinion*
They do NOT last long for shit LOL. Maybe with some shoo goo, or better yet Shoe drops you can extend the life, but after like 40 kickflips (which I guess varies a lot depending on how one skates) the lace bed system was starting to peel up. 🥴🥴 What's hype about them tho is they do break in super easy, but don't necessarily have that cupsole feel if that's something you look forward too. I really liked how they skate but for the price they are...Man
the netting is the dellinger web - an old idea adidas had from the 80's that a mesh wrap on foam could "control" which direction forces go through the foam
i remember watching this before buying them and thought I would never skate in my life, here I am 2.5 months later with both the shoes and the skateboard checking if they’re good for skating and not just for style :D
I wish you could’ve got your hands on the Diego Najera version. I have those and have been skating a Forum Low ADV for almost 8 weeks now and they’re still holding up! P.S. The style of these are sick especially if you’re a skater with baggier pants🔥
I bought these magnificent basketball shoes on the early '87;they lasted me the ass (meybe about twenty years...!),and now that I'm 54,my kids gave them to me again in my birthday....the closest to time travelling...!practically never was SO happy and so fund of any of my lifelong shoes...and I recently discovered a 3D file for not to be everytime zipping up and down that velcro stripe...You must believe that I did mostly everything in those shoes (except flying on a balloon or selling umbrellas,as we say in my country ;-) )...say no more;if you are looking for a nice and good-looking basketball shoes that shall be ok for any task you give'em,those are a great choice for you .Greetings from Palafolls,Catalunya!!*!!
There's some differences with each different Forum model (without doxxing myself, I work for a shoe store that sells all these different versions Forum Mids and Lows are the basic shoe, just essentially used to look good or as a chill shoe, these versions have a removable strap (that doesn't do much tbh) The actual '84 (both the high and low) use better materials and are built more to the original 1984 specification (for example more, more padding on the upper, strap is not removable without cutting it) And the ADV is the same as the '84 Low, with a skate insole, slightly thicker midsole/outsole, and centering straps for the tongue. The Najera ADV Mid is essentially the same as the low with a mid-top upper. If you ever do another review of these, review the 84 ADV's
(I forgot to add this) in regards to the function of the mid-strap, it was meant as something to reinforce the weakest part of your foot and ankle. It's been a core part of the Forum since the shoe's initial release and people usually didn't keep the straps back then since they were cumbersome and a pain to get off normally.
Another way to fix stiffness in leather basketball shoes is to run them through the wash cycle a couple of time and it actually breaks them in making them soft and flexible .
I will stay with my Adidas Busenitz cupsole forever.. Nothing beats these shoes : comfort, boardfeel, durability and style ! Won't change soon for sure.
I have a love/hate relationship with this shoe after a few solid sessions. Yes, in order for them to feel nice you need to microwave them, also remove the glued on insole and replace it with something super thin. You DON’T need footprint insoles with these you never gonna hurt your feet. Shoelaces don’t rip. They would be my fav shoe probably if not for the flick. I just can’t get used to it, it’s anemic. The sole itself is pretty grippy though. I lost consistency in my kickflips and had to adjust my feet positioning. At the same time i think it’s impossible to roll your ankle in them and the cushioning and support they provide is above any skate shoe. They feel a bit narrow until you microwave them. They are also surprisingly a pretty lightweight shoe. I wonder how they compare with dunk high and the ADV forum version, I never tried those.
There's nothing better than a shoe with 0 board feel and a thick insole. Like it's hard at first but once you break them in it just protects your foot like crazy
I just got these off Amazon for $50 recently. These shoes definitely feel on the stiffer side and I was also surprised to find that my it didn't fit me at my usual 11.5 sizing so perhaps the compartment runs a bit roomier than I thought since all reviews I saw said they were true to size. That or perhaps I was a size 11 the whole time and I had no idea lol. They look pretty fresh though and feel a bit more comfortable to walk in compared to my AF1s. Thanks for the review though because I can now look out for some of those cons you pointed out.
I skate a lot, like, a lot, and i have bought and have been skating your shoelaces in May, and it is November, and the laces are perfectly fine, and those laces have been down a Mini Mega ramp, and in various vert sessions, and just a lot of flip tricks.
Hi Christian! How about a review and wear test of the Nike Force 58 shoe. I bet everyone is asking about it, but I'm considering buying them but I would like a honest opinion of them and there's no other shoe weartester I trust more than you man! Obviously if and when you have the time for it. Thank you!
Hi Christian thanks a lot for your videos, I love it and appreciate your work! I will like watch you doing the review of the Louis Vitton x Lucien Clarke shoes, that will be fire!!💜🖤🤩🛹🔥
Definitely a classic look. I finally order a new shoe that is not the Tyshawn. I pre-ordered the Mike V Cariumas. Yup gave into the constant Cariumas marketing. Working is important and I think it keeps the joy in the channel when the channel is not the work but a passion.
Been skating the top 10 high great support , break in is a bitch , actually had to play basketball in them for a few pick up games then I could skate them
*You are always gonna be disappointed if you compare it to the old, they look great and they are what they are, but if you think that cost effective fashion shoes these days are actually made for sports or to be worn to go to war?....*
Good review! I thought Adidas listed these shoes as basketball shoes. Anyway, I am looking at these shoes now and do you think that they are comfortable daily shoes to wear or are they too stiff? I never heard of the microwaving of a shoe to speed up the break end process. Was that a joke or real? Thanks
Although I'm super late to this, bought Forum 84 High Cloud white / White tint for my first pricy pair of sneakers (I've only ever worn 40$ ish sneakers) and excited for it. I'm still a beginner but might try skating with it as well. Dont want to be that guy but does anyone know the music playing from 0:35? It slaps hard.
What a good shoes that has really good impact protection but doesn’t interfere with ur flip tricks TOO much, I don’t mind if it’s a little but maybe not as bad as these lol
Hey sir! i like the shoes and i wanna buy one but i’m not sure what size should i get, i have Yeezy 350 v2 (US 10.5, EU 44.5), and Ultraboost (US 10, EU 44), do you know what size should i go with?
That intro song for the shoe brings back memories.
MANNNNNN good ol times hearing it

I have the lows and love them so much. I do have board feel, although less then what I normally skate I still do think they are great shoes
YOOOO THE OG SONGGGGG. KEEP THIS AS YOUR INTRO P L E A S E

@@cyberinsurgent9910 good to know, thanks! I definitely like a cupsole and I'm overweight so I tend to put my shoes through more pressure in general.

Hm. Well it’s definitely taking all the impact.

Wait, these are basketball shoes right? Why use it for skating?
these shoes look absolutely 80s and absolutely badass. Awesome retro sneaker.
80’s basketball staple shoe, one of my favorites for sure

Do the new Globe Gillettes! Bring the low key brands up man that skaters need to recognize.

I just got these, unbelievably uncomfortable! Gonna try the microwave thing. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 Ty
I own a pair of addidas forum mid in black and white. They’ve pretty good.
Should've reviewed the ones that are for skating, not the Originals. Monumental difference between the regular ones and the skateboarding ADV model.
Trying out some Emerica Gamma’s this month. First pair of Emerica in over 15 years!
Nice.

Yeah a store near me also told me they ran out of stock after I already bought the item and even recevied an order number in my emails 😂😂
Started skating the Adidas 3MC, and love skating these.

You have to try the new FP ODB Substance Mid Shoes they're great!

Would love to see you skate up the Lakai Carrols
The shoe spinning at the end was awesome.
Hahha thanks
Could you do the Puma Suede?
Not yet.
Please do a review of the remake of the VANS ROWLEY. It was my very 1st legit skate shoe. And 15 years later, they released a reimagined version.
Maybe.
Bro I think the only adidas forum version made for skateboarding are the Diego Najera`s ADV , those you tried are just the regular basketball ones.
I got the bape fourm collab for cheap time to skate em
RIDE CHANNEL VIBES BABY
2024 just purchased. I'm not using them for skateboarding, so I deffo won't be putting them in the microwave; I think that is silly.
Honesty is the best policy.
Once i have some money, for sure i'm gonna buy it. Much love Malaysia 💯

Hey Christian, can you do the DC graffiti, please???
I never heard of the microwave tip! LOL sounds crazy.

Dunks, Tyhsawn mids ( suede ), NB 1010

Are u ever gonna make oval shoelaces for like dunks and dc lynx ogs
mine get here Wednesday so i’m hoping he was messin & they skate amazingly
Microwave them first. Then they skate good.
best intro I've seen
Just got myself an all white pair
Tyshawn lows or the DC Legacy 98 Slim’s !!
Lows durability are terrible. Comfort and skate well though imo
I skated the lows and the only problem I had was the stitching come off way to soon and didn’t last as long as I thought they would
Could you please do a review of the Nike SB force 58s
You should review the new Nike SB force 58
Review the Accel OG already!!
Maybe.
Hey do you think you would make round unbreakable lases as some shoes can't take flat ones
Can you review vans wayvee?
Nike Fpar Dunk is the best skate shoe I've ever had!
Can you review Nike Sb Force 58?
You should do the emerica gammas
You should look at the nike sb force 58
Hey Christian do u think u could try out the new tyshawn lows??
