- I needed to clean my valves since it was terrible. There was so much carbon deposit that I doubt that it was sealing properly.
Using Scott Bright sponge I was able to clean the carbon deposit.
With the sand papers on this order 800, 1500, 2000 and 3000 I was able to give it a smooth and shiny finish.
Finally polishing with 3M product to assure that we have the smoothest result as possible.
This is the list of materials used

laping valves has stood the test of time been done forever cause it works--- no sand paper needed
I had three bent valves. I couldn't afford to buy new ones so I tried this. Scotchbrite and a drill straightened them right up!
when you get it back to geather you can test for leaks this add a small spoon of mtr oil in plug hole take compression reading see if it holds its not leaking this checks rings and valves ------ifyou took a reading before takeing it apart compare the reading if rings are bad oil will help compression test (higher reading )
are those steel or stainless steel valves ?
I think they are stainless but I'm not sure. They are OEM.
What I like to do is use sandpaper to get rid of the seat of the valve.
I heard polishing valves adds as mush as 35 horse power and 700 rpms.
you dont really believe that
@@frankdavidson9675 it was a joke
Everyone shows this same method. Best to come up with something new or less common for a video
Video is 2 years old
You should come up with a different way and show us.
