brokenchickenleg HE PUT THIS TITLE UP LIKE IF HIS DIRTBIKE TRANSFORMED INTO A AUTOBOT N WENT HEAD ON WITH THE BEAR LMFAO HE SHOULD OF JUST PUT THAT TITLE YOU PUT UP SOO YEEES I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU A 💯 %
I love that second where you let off the throttle, pretty sure everyone could tell exactly what went through your mind. "What's that thing?" *lets off throtlle* "Oh, look its a...it's a... IT'S A BEAR!!" *TWIST*
smooth, fast trail. i like it. not too narrow either, looks like good drainage. whats the grip level typically. is this public land? what more can you ask for in a trail, you can ride all day without getting tired
I was WAY more scared of the trees coming at your face at 30 mph than any bear.... bad video title!! But, GREAT riding! So, undecided as to whether I vote up or down.... damn you...
Nice bike! I have the same year Honda, only a 1995 CR250R. Parked my 4-strokes, gonna race the 2-stroke from now on. Husky TC250 coming my way in two weeks!
Phenomenal riding skills! I had a CR125 once, and that scared me at times. I can't imagine the all out 'balls to the wall' torque and power of a CR500, but your video helps! Cheers!
That was brief, but cool. At least it wasn't right in your path. I almost hit a deer while riding a CR125M on a trail many years ago. The darned thing was running through the woods perpendicular to the trail and I was tapped into 4th gear if I remember right. It crossed right in front of me, and I missed it by about 10 or 12 feet. I slowed down after that! Nice riding, and watch out for those trees too! Catching air on a corner, you'll fly straight while the trail curves away from you. Voice of experience here, lol.
so let me get this straight everyone thinks this guy should go full out??? its a trail not a moto track and really u cant even go full out on a track except to hit triple and straightaways really its just throttle control which this guy seems to have a very good skill set in based on the fact hes riding a 500 in a tight trail
Ever since I first seen it my dream bike has been the ATK Intimidator. a 700cc 2-stroke with over 75HP stock that only available through special order. There is a motocross version and a super motard version The last time I checked (2-3 years ago) they were in limited supply and available only by special order through them. They were priced over $9000. I don't think I'll be riding one any time soon so its back to dreaming
Props on your riding skills. bought an XR500R from a friend that turned and bought a CR500R, all I can say is OMG!!! the XR is e ought for anyone, the CR500R is about as close as you can get to strapping onto a pissed of Bull, hands go numb after 5 mins!!
you have a lot of balls to be flying through basically hairscramble trails at 30 mph lol that's crazy I like speed but I don't like going fast around trees.. you put your face into a tree at thirty miles an hour your going to be messed up.. but cool video don't listen to all the other guys being pricks I think it was fun just watching you fly through the trails lol
As I sit here watching this video I can't help but think.... Man those trails look like the ones from home. Sure enough, I read the description and its michigan. Best trails ever. What part of michigan? Looks like rose city area
Sick trails riding man! I have yet to hit the trails, I have some decent trails downhill from my house. Only problem is ppl decided to block entrance with small to medium brances. Ppl like that disgust me, my friend though is getting his fix soon and when he does I'll go with him... since he's been down there after the blocked passage, and heck I hate trail riding alone. :p
actually, it is best short shifted to stay in the lower 2/3 of the rpm range. when i bought mine, it took a little while of loosing it all in wheelspin and fishtailing before figuring it out. If you grab the next gear about 2/3 through, and roll the throttle, it keeps rear wheel hooked up and rewards you with tremedous forward thrust, which is what you want... unless you just like spinning wheel and kicking up dirt, which is fun also.
It isn't about going fast , it's about having fun andhow you feel like riding.. If you like to ride slow and enjoy views it's fine , so is riding fast. I don't get why people always comment on others riding style..
Today this was me on Red Mountain speeding off the summit on an old forest byway. A big brown sow came at me down through the trees. And then after a short road chase was running downhill. Toward where the next turn of road would take me. As unwilling to accept an ambush by a smart mama bear I braked and reversed direction. Taking a longer ride off the summit. A crappy horse trail down to the state highway.
ha ha we were crazy mate, my girlfriend calmed me down thats why i only have a small 250 now, but i do like a blast on my mates yzf 450, not as good as the old 2 strokes though, what bike do you have mate? safe riding, cheers
i cant tell if the trail is bumpy or if the wheel is coming off the ground every time he revs it, because that is one powerful bike i would crap myself if i rode it lol
+Roy Nelson Bear probably knew he was coming from the sound of his bike, bears usually attack out of surprise, as long as you make enough noise to let them know you are coming, black bears usually avoid you.
I hear that was pretty awesome man I seen a video where a guy was trail riding on a bicycle and it was pretty crazy glad he made it through bears are crazy lol
Damn, someone knows what the hell he is doing. Im a rider myself and this video had me on pins and needles. Great video dude, and I have to say I didn't see the bear the first time I watched
that thing is a beast!!!! you handle it very nicely. so much power on demand its just Krazy!!! ya I seen the bear, funny stuff. I once almost drove into a moose crossing the trail, one more second slower and we would have met. awesome bike, awesome rider. ride on.
LOL! I have come around corners on my mountain bike and come within 10 feet of black bears looking right at me----not for long!! I cannot believe how fast those big bears can run and jump when taken by surprise. Fortunately I was always going downhill and spooked the beejezusm out of them---as well as me. No time to think---just keep going--the bears are of the same mind, too!
That was pretty crazy! I just was super close to a cub while shredding on a trail and rode with it for about 15 feet until the trail turned. I didn't wanna see the mom bear, but it may have been on its own, as it was such a large cub
the bear was waitin on another rider to hit a tree...people hating cause they have unfulfilled expectations in others...I enjoyed watching the trees go by...had to sit back from my monitor though. damn near got branch lash!! great vid
Never saw the bear. You should have slow motioned it and highlighted where the bear was for everyone. Otherwise this just seems like false advertising, bc you are looking for bear the whole time, but can't find 'em. Lol I did still enjoy the video. That run got pretty narrow and hairy at parts. Pretty sweet. Where was this filmed?
man i love the 500s.... you ride very nicely my friend.. idk i watched the video twice in a row and can someone please tell me where the bear is>?? lol
Most of the time on a higher CC Dirt bike, it makes you feel like your arms are being pulled from their sockets. Well, when your jumping, and riding full throttle, that is
you can definitely tell thats a cr500 baby....he's just barely touching the throttle this whole ride in 3rd hehe what an animal. not a bike for the faint of heart you used to see adds for them all the time for sale because they were to much for the rider. a truely terrifying beat. and this guy handles it pretty well!
Great riding, ive been riding big bore 2strokes on trails for yrs and its awesome, n very challenging. Its obviously the Noobs who r writing the comments NOT THIS RIDER. U have no idea how hard it is 2 ride a 500 2stroke on tight trails, this guy has very good skills. If ur one of the dumb asses saying otherwise u either don't ride at all, are a noobie, or maybe ride a little girlie/wifey 4stroke bike, so stay on your 4strokes n quads n leave the real performance machines for the big boys...
Good to know there are still others keeping the old bikes alive. Sweet ride and AWESOME trails. Cheers from Oregon
i just move here exporleing the woods and already got chased'
this should simply be titled "I saw a black bear for 1/4 of a second".
Haha!
that would be enough for me to shat my trousers.
brokenchickenleg HE PUT THIS TITLE UP LIKE IF HIS DIRTBIKE TRANSFORMED INTO A AUTOBOT N WENT HEAD ON WITH THE BEAR LMFAO HE SHOULD OF JUST PUT THAT TITLE YOU PUT UP SOO YEEES I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU A 💯 %

Sooner or later you can make a video CR500 VS tree.
Petty
I do not wish that but it just happens often to those like him
John Tate 😂😂
@@PavleBalenovic "those like him"
Hahaha
I thought i was gonna crash watching your video, but that shows how experienced you are riding a motorcycle.
I love that second where you let off the throttle, pretty sure everyone could tell exactly what went through your mind.

"Oh, look its a...it's a... IT'S A BEAR!!"

So this must be the closest an Earthling can come to riding a speeder-bike on the forest moon of Endor.
Ur married by now
IIIIII EEEEEEEEEYYYAAAAAAAA ZOOM ZOOM
This changed my life. Thank you.
Who else thought he was gonna get chased by a bear? :D
black bears are scared of people. Especially noisy ones.
Thumbs down always for deceptive titles. That stuff animal teddy bear wasn't even thinking about him. He turned in opposite direction.
LOL
+Les A. R brown bears arent as aggressive as grizzlies though
+Slurm its highly addictive They are the same thing.
B-Aron oops I meant black bears
+Slurm its highly addictive Lol! XD :-)
smooth, fast trail. i like it. not too narrow either, looks like good drainage.

Misleading title, don't waste your time.

Still the most powerful two stroke in 25 years. God I wish this thing was still produced

Fuck ya ...2 strokes for life !!
What does a 4 stroke have to with this again?
Lol I like 4 strokes, horse power is more important, and 2 strokes are noisy non efficient little dicks, the only thing that good about them is speed.
That's all I care about bro...speed and sound. If you want efficient go get yourself a Zero bike or a Toyota Prius.
A few years ago I would agree with you.... The 4 stroke has come a long way.
A Stiener lol

Good riding! You got talent.

@@arosew7 thank you
You are the real MVP
I love Michigan trails especially right after it rains.
it wasnt really a vs but more of you scaring the crap out of a bear who was prob constipated....
Did you think the dirt bike and the bear were gonna fight?
+Rob Wellock No I Thought I Would Atleast See A Bear lol
+dez lucas well there was a bear...
I once saw a constipated pickled herring. It was scary awful.
I wonder how the cameraman face when get chased.
That clickbait though xD Fucking LOL
probably northern MI. Bears have been spotted a few times around Newaygo and sand lake though.
Today this was me on Red Mountain speeding off the summit on an old forest byway.

Bear at 3:56 Dont waste your time
I did, but thank you for the time
versus is a bit of an overstatement its more like "cr500 catches glimpse of black bear" or "cr500 startles black bear"
Nice pace! Was that a lot of braking bumps or what? Man I hate braking bumps..........
ha ha we were crazy mate, my girlfriend calmed me down thats why i only have a small 250 now, but i do like a blast on my mates yzf 450, not as good as the old 2 strokes though, what bike do you have mate? safe riding, cheers
in between trees side to side down a mesmerizing winding trail. nothing better!
Ok, CR500? That is BOSS!!! That bike could catch a cheetah in full sprint. Sweet vid. Did you take it out of first gear?
i cant tell if the trail is bumpy or if the wheel is coming off the ground every time he revs it, because that is one powerful bike i would crap myself if i rode it lol
A 2-stroke 500. Now that's a real man's bike. Is that trail one big loop?
The suspension on that bike is something else.
I seen the black bear it was on your left I'm glad you didn't stall out lol that was some great trail riding buddy
I was reading the comment's, why is this bike so good ?
Is there a thing like rally cars but with bikes? that's what this video reminded me of, high speed with some crazy looking terrain
how long was this guy locked in a cage and fed only gunpowder before they let him out to ride that bike
my 87 500 was cool, was winning races in seniors class at age 34 with it. I sure wish I had it today
That cr500 would probably kill me before the bear got a chance. Them things ain't no joke.
Nice ride! I've tangled with a few black bears myself. No word a lie, I had one running alongside my fourwheeler less than eight feet away one time.
Fast food critters won't be picky if any reader steps-up to be on their menu.
i love how when he sees the black bear he starts going fast for the first time in this video
Well it probably would of ate him… for the best atleast
That bear was like "well I guess I'll just cross this trail to get to m... HOLY SHIT A DIRT BIKE!"
There was no BEAR
where is this?!?! I live in Michigan and I can't find any good trails that aren't full of sand
42 mi loop? Tell me you all ride the same direction! :-)
You make that look easy, what fun.
those are some sweet trails. anyone know what state and where those trails are. would love to ride there
Can someone let me know where the bear moment is? I'm not watching 5 min 7 seconds for a flash of bear.
this was a great video even without the bear sighting, those trails look sick a hell
I stopped this video at 2:30 to check comments for when this bear appears....thank you all for telling me not to get my hopes too high
i bet when that bear heard that 2 stroke humming he was like damn thats a lot of bees
Damn, someone knows what the hell he is doing. Im a rider myself and this video had me on pins and needles. Great video dude, and I have to say I didn't see the bear the first time I watched
I seen the bear but very slightly but it was there... Anyway what year is ur cr500 I want a cr500 so bad but can't find one for a good price
Great Trails where is it at? what State and where?
Looks like the bear wanted to know what the sound was coming toward him. He was still, then ran as you got closer.
finally a video someone actually giving the 500 a bit
what year is that bike? 92-96? Looks she's in great shape and sounds great! I love how you're ripping but barely on it the whole time lol
that thing is a beast!!!!
you handle it very nicely.
so much power on demand its just Krazy!!!
ya I seen the bear, funny stuff.
I once almost drove into a moose crossing the trail,
one more second slower and we would have met.
awesome bike, awesome rider.
ride on.
the top of the moose was about 10' high, it was massive.
This video makes driving a dirt bike look like the hardest fucking thing in the world.
LOL! I have come around corners on my mountain bike and come within 10 feet of black bears looking right at me----not for long!! I cannot believe how fast those big bears can run and jump when taken by surprise. Fortunately I was always going downhill and spooked the beejezusm out of them---as well as me. hey where in Michigan was that clare county , or leota st Helen area
That was pretty crazy! I just was super close to a cub while shredding on a trail and rode with it for about 15 feet until the trail turned. I didn't wanna see the mom bear, but it may have been on its own, as it was such a large cub

Mannnn! That tree was close @2:58 Way to hammer that trail dude, looks like the beast wants ta run.
Quick glimpse of bear, but Dam can you ride !! You was hauling !
Never saw the bear. You should have slow motioned it and highlighted where the bear was for everyone. That was pretty awesome man, where exactly in Michigan is this? I'm guessing the UP?
Is it just me or is his front wheel basically never on the ground
This man has some serious bike riding skills
#eatmunchies except that he never stood up once and the video was slightly sped up to make it seem like he was moving faster
man i love the 500s.... you ride very nicely my friend.. idk i watched the video twice in a row and can someone please tell me where the bear is>?? lol
I checked out your channel, probably shouldn't criticize anyone's riding ability. Is that a tassel on your clutch cable?
More like I think I saw a bear.
Most of the time on a higher CC Dirt bike, it makes you feel like your arms are being pulled from their sockets. Well, when your jumping, and riding full throttle, that is
My first thought was "wow I love this camera angle" Helmet cams go everywhere. Great job great video.
That was a little speeded up yes? Looked it in places
More appropriate title: "CR500 sees a glimpse of black bear running"
This bike is constantly tumbling around and trimming weeds to clear the path for you as you hover above
I knew this was Michigan as soon as I saw the video lol. Is this in Roscommon/Kalkaska County by chance?
There's 5 minutes and 7 seconds I'll never get back
DAM BRO IS THE FLOOR A TRAMPOLINE FOR THE BiKE
you can definitely tell thats a cr500 baby....he's just barely touching the throttle this whole ride in 3rd hehe what an animal. not a bike for the faint of heart you used to see adds for them all the time for sale because they were to much for the rider. a truely terrifying beat. and this guy handles it pretty well!
