Its not. Its a great game. But not better in anyway. Lack of poise, some funky hitboxes sometimes, a bit weird diffuculty scaling, and one thing I think could have given P a lot more atmosphere, is if everything: Buildings, pavement, weapons, bosses, didn't have that right out of the box shine to them, it should have a more "used" darker and gritty look to it. But that is just my opinion. I really do enjoy this game a lot.
The sharpening of weapon works best if you have a controller with back paddles. But I do agree that the sharpening of weapons isn’t the best mechanic during battles. I think a better mechanic would have been to have a designated button for it.
yaknow, I do pretty much agree with this one. Better than DS2 but not better than the rest. I do think this company has high potential for future installments
Not at all, but the premise is good. I think what a lot of these Soulslike titles don't really understand is the depth of mechanics in FromSoft games. In Lies of P there's a lot of mechanics borrowed from Sekiro and Bloodborne but they're not as fleshed out or as effective. Parrying is absolutely something that both of those games did a lot better and it was easier to pick up.
No big deal. Souls franchise evolved over time, so even if the market get flooded with Souls inspired game it's not going to be stale. Plus Souls come out for like every 4 years. These games can be played while waiting for next Souls. Heck, maybe these inspired games can evolve into their own things later.
No but it's the first soulslike that's actually on the level of fromsoft's games.
Yep, 100% agreed. First soulslike I really fell for. Not better, but great

Shameless lazy clone
At least this game has a REAL story and not some made up lore you find on internet
Guess we found the guy with an inability to think
