Possibly one of the best videos of Lake District journeys No one on an ego trip, no one trying to be a comedian, no irritating back ground music. Walked the Newlands and Buttermere tops and valleys for years. Driven all the approach raids for years Your video is just how it is. Sue Grants book on the Newlands Valley brings the place to life and helps visitors to understand the place better Seatoller to Buttermere would be a good video. So would Braithwaite to Buttermere via the picturesque village of Lorton with its amazing variations in architectural styles Thanks very much, it’s a real pleasure and simply but well done
Thanks for this. I took this road 1st time about 4 months ago to Rannerdale. I have never been so scared on a damn road in my life. I am pretty Co fident driver but this was something else. Hated every damn mi ite of it until I was in the car park. The horror was the thought of having to drive it back.
On our recent visit we had to take a taxi back to Keswick as we finished to late to catch the last bus. 99.9% sure this was the route the taxi took. Just an incredible drive but made me realize as someone who lives in an incredibly flat place, driving there would terrorize me.

Viewed video last night. Drove back from Buttermere through Newlands Valley. The road is riddled with potholes . Appalling to drive on.
