Love both cars but eventually went with GLB. That 7 seater option is a life saver when your kids want to have a friend over or if you are also transporting the nanny etc. I’ve had it for about 5 months and already those extra 2 seats have proved invaluable in a few situations. It’s also deceptively big on the inside, fold everything down and move the passenger seat forward and you will be impressed at how much stuff you can fit inside. Two adult bikes, two kid bikes, scooters, etc. (Obviously with only one person in the car, family needs to go on a second car wit the wife driving)
yeah it already has mbux in it so they will not put that display in for a long time. next GLC refresh will likely be 4-5 years just bc they just refreshed it and they have so many other cars that need to be updated.
Excellent cars! The GLB is very suitable for young families with children, because of the third row. The GLC is perfect for older families who favour luxury and comfort.

@@Jerryyy6802 I have not experienced a single issue but just this week my car is shaking when I brake so I am taking it to Mercedes this week for repair….
I recently bought a brand new GLB in Hong Kong. The car broke down in only 12 days due to a gearbox issue and it had to sit in back to Mercedes repair center for a month. We took it back after Mercedes claimed that they have fully fixed it, however it broke down again in the middle of the road after just 6 days (with my wife who is currently 28-weeks pregnant onboard). This faulty car has only been driven for less than 500km and its still in repair center now. Due to the safety concern, i demand a full refund or replace a new car as we cannot trust this car anymore. They turned down my request and came back with a counter offered asking me to trade in the current faulty car and buy another new one from them. I was so speechless and our whole family were so disappointed as we have been supporting Mercedes for over 15 years (owned another E class previously) Think twice if you still consider Mercedes as your family car since the gearbox problem has been a major issue in the past few years, friends of mine also having problems with their Mercedes.
Hmm. I have a C240. According to Consumer Reports in early 2023, they rated top 24 auto companies. BMW came in 3rd. Mercedes came in at 24. It was rated worse than Tesla.
I think Mercedes meant the GLB to poach customers from other luxury brands as first time Mercedes customers. You are correct that as things stand, the difference between GLB and GLC are too close and there will be some cannibalization. My guess is the next gen GLC (will arrive in 2022 as 2023 model year) will move upscale to further differentiate with the GLB and reduce the cannibalization. Good for Mercedes but probably not good for me as I'm looking for a GLB in a slightly bigger size. Most likely next gen GLC will not simply be a bigger GLB (i.e. it won't have a 3rd row and will retain the sloping roof line), but who knows, I can hope. Perhaps Mercedes will answer my prayer and add a 3rd row across its entire line up (to both GLC and GLE. If that happens then I will have a hard choice. I like the feeling of driving the smaller GLC but prefers the space of the bigger GLE.
@@TM_227 both have the same amount of luxurious touches. But you can get a massage option on the GLC. That said we picked a GLB with $15k in options because it was way more practical for our lifestyle, and we could carry more equipment on it. The GLB interior looks better, but it feels a lot cheaper than the GLC when you actually touch things, there’s a lot of plastic. Just my opinion though!
GLB is a little bit more utilitarian. A luxury van style SUV. Whereas the GLC is more of a luxury sedan in SUV format. By the way both are stunning vehicles IMHO
@@aimxdy8680 Oh believe me I would have much preferred getting a wagon. My first two cars were a hatchback and wagon. But Mercedes doesn't sell C wagons here, only the GLC. Americans don't like wagons for some reason.
Take a good look at the angle of the back seat in the GLB ..its almost perfectly upright. That cant be comfortable. The GLC does not have that issue because they did not try to fit in a 3rd row seat.
I thought so too because is outdoor and i thought is the one near Etihad Stadium. Then I realise he talked about GLB 250 .... the UK don't even do 250 model. Only 200 (1.3) petrol or 200d / 220d diesel. Only option to get a higher power petrol is to go for the AMG 35 model.

Could you demonstrate that? Also, what is the standard tire size and wheel size on the GLB? Is there a spare tire? Lots of conflicting information on Mercedes web and print materials. Thanks!
Great video Austin! Thanks for all the info.. Just wondering which model is roomier and has more leg room for the driver and rear passengers. Im 6’4 and was concerned about the passenger behind me. Thanks again
Thank you, I appreciate it! For tall guys like us, they are both great options. I have never sat so comfortably in the back seat of a compact SUV before these vehicles. However, I must say that I believe the GLB has the edge on the GLC in terms of front and rear occupancy legroom. With the ability to recline and slide the rear seat forward and back, you are able to create more legroom and comfort for the rear seat passengers. This also gives the driver and front seat passenger more legroom as they can then slide further back. The rear seat in the GLC is far from uncomfortable, but you are slightly more limited with legroom. Thanks for watching! Hope this helps.

Trying to alleviate this as much as possible with our next car. From my research it looks like the GLC is too tight for a car seat in the 2nd row (comfortably). I'm wondering how the GLB compares?
