The GVM is a much more powerful light than the VIJIM, but the VIJIM is a lot more versatile because it’s more compact and you can put it pretty much anywhere. I think the VIJIM light can be good for product reviews as a supplemental light, but not as a key light. Maybe you can use it as a kicker or just to add a bit of color in the scene..
The falcon eyes has better build quality and maybe a tad brighter, but what i like about the VIJIM light is that it comes with modifiers such as : grid, diffuser etc..
Can ask a question? How large this can lite up? I mean if i need to use this as a light to lit up my background which is about 6×8ft , will it cover the whole surface?

I don't think you showed how to get one specific color for a background. I am good at figuring out how to use stuff but some people need help with every new piece of gear. I couldn't find a video showing how to use the controls of this device. They show the result but do not explain which of the 3 controls do what. For you and I it's easy, but not for everyone
I am a wedding filmmaker and still learning about lights. I am looking to buy a small and bright Bi-color light but now those RGB lights make me very confused. I don't know which one is the best option for me. Originally I was thinking to buy Aputure AL-F7. I would really appreciate your suggestions.
If you want a great quality/bright and accurate light, I’d recommend the Falcon Eyes F7 or the AMBITFUL A1. They are a bit expensive but definitely worth the price. Now if light accuracy doesn’t really mean anything to you then you can go with the VIJIM VL196, for the price you can’t beat it.
Hi just wanted to check how is the build quality? And is the power output strong enough? I have seen the Phottix that has strong power output but I'm trying to look for more affordable lights since I plan to get a few of them. Thanks
The build quality is fine, feels pretty solid. My falcon eyes F7 is built much better, but i paid around 100$ for that light. For 50$ the VIJIM light feels great. For me personally the output power of the VIJIM light is more than enough, if you want something to use as a rim/hair/small fill light. Then I think the VIJIM is more than enough.. it also depends what you shoot though, the bigger the subject the bigger the light source that you need.
@@southbeats15 i think it'll be more than enough for what you've mentioned. I don't know how it comapres to the VIJIM VL-3 because i've never tried the VL-3. The VIJIM VL-196 has 1920lux from 0.3m.

Yes.. but you don't need a tripod to hold this light, you simply need a light stand which is much cheaper.
Brought it on aliexpress and sold it. Light is good, Battery is just a joke: It doesn't last even when the light is not in use.
It lasts about an hour for me when I use it on 100% of brightness. Not the best but for the price it’s not bad..

Brought a vijim after viewing these videos and resold it. The battery worth ZERO! Long to charge and doesn't last at all.
Yeah the battery life isn’t the best. Lasts me about 2-3 hours on roughly 50% of brightness.
