Great review, love the "Vulcan Death Grip"

I love Gravitas pens and have 7 different versions of the Sentry model (different materials and finishes) plus the flagship pen. They are all extremely well made and feel very comfortable in the hand.

Practically indestructible workhorse pen with a number eight western fine juicy smooth writing nib! Gasp! OMG! Nuff said!

My question is of course how much head room has he left in the cap. Ever since your review #8 stacks have been quite popular and one of these would be great, I think I'd prefer a clear demo eyedropper one tho. I like a lighter pen and love demonstrators

I ordered and paid for a pen from Gravitas on March 24/24. It has never shipped. The company has not responded to any communication sent to their website.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like they have issues.

Has anyone been able to get in contact with someone from the company? I’ve been waiting for months after ordering and still can’t get a response back from anyone at the company.

Greetings from Mackinac Island! I usually do not go further north than Detroit, visiting relatives.
As for this pen, this is a wonderful pen and certainly worth the investigation and possible purchase.
I love the #8 nib being an option, if it is still available.
I looks like it can be eyedropper filled, any version.
    Great review, Doug.

It is possible if the section nozzle is stainless steel too - which I believe it is.

We should send it to Ukraine, (it could withstand a Russian artillery barrage.) But that's it man ... I'm tapped out, I may not make the mortgage this month.

I'm expecting a titanium Gravitas Quark in the mail this month so hopefully I'll have similar experiences to you. Thanks for the review.

I’ll be doing a review of a Quark soon.

    60grams ? That pen has the heft/gravitas I wanted off the E95S.

      @InkquiringMinds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

LOL! An e95s would have to be made of lead!

I have his full size titanium with the number 8 nib. It’s so well made. I at some point want to pick up his new plunger filler. I probably will when his in house nib is ready next year. I see the #8 sections are sold separately on his sight if anyone wants to replace the #6 sections on their pens.

I wonder if this would also fit the Wing Sung 630 nib, which is also a #8?

I haven’t tried since mine is 14k but I think they are different sizes and the WS has a different shank.

I removed the cap o-ring from my polycarbonate pocket pen. It caused inky mess during uncapping. I'm also not a fan of the thin grooves in the metal section. The grooves prevent your fingers from slipping up and down, but somehow my fingers still slip laterally. Very awkward. Maybe a simple anodized section would be better in the polycarbonate version of this pen. It still is a very well made pen though.

management extends its apologies for not giving you fingerprints, or functional skin. these features are normally included with every instantiation of human body, but somehow you seem to have slipped through a crack. we accept complete and total responsibility for your unique failings. so sorry. thank you for sharing your perspective of the inherent shortcomings.

Nice pocket pen, but according to my very personal taste, nothing beats a vintage Sheaffer Tuckaway , and I own two of them 😊

I've had one of these pens in Brass since the Spring London Pen Show last year; it's a very reliable pen. My only gripes are the lack of a pocket clip, and the restricted space in the body for converters, meaning that you only get half a converters-worth of ink, if you don't use cartridges. Mine's fitted with the Gravitas in-house-manufactured No 6-size F nib.

And Doug just keeps on winning the Appelboom quiz rounds! Although the scores this week could have been even higher...
