    Additional tips:
    - The parking brake is OFF by default. Holding the regular brakes for two seconds will stop any forward/backwards roll. Then when you apply throttle, the airplane will move normally. The parking brake itself seems buggy right now, so IMO don't use it.
    - During descent, if you see DRAG REQUIRED displayed on the FMC, just apply spoilers. Return them to ARMED once the airplane is descending on path - this is signified by a pink dot in the middle of the PFD altitude tape.

      @HERD599 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You have to hold the brakes then release, if it doesn't work try it again. In the FMC there is an option to make the parking brake be in a simple mode like the 737. So you do not have to hold the brakes

    • @TiJayFLY

      @@HERD599 It's set to SIMPLE by default. Sometimes, holding the toe brakes releases it, but sometimes when it "thinks" it's off it's actually still on. IMO it's bugged.

    How do you remove constraints? For example I’m flying a SID and it’s 5000 and that’s what’s in my fmc and atc tells me to climb to FL180 how do I override the fmc is there as easy way? Cheers

    • @TiJayFLY
      @TiJayFLY  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@willroberts2773 ATC on VATSIM will never tell you to ignore a SID constraint. Offline ATC is broken and you should ignore it - the airplane will automatically resume its climb when the constraint passes.
      However it can be overriden, just dial in desired altitude and hit FLCH then once you’re ready to resume managed altitudes, return to VNAV mode and set altitude as appropriate for that phase of flight

    I am having difficulties in making ILS approach, most of the time the plane doesn't recognize the glide slope, so I have to visually land it. There was only once I caught the glide slope, that was after I clicked "loc" button, and the glide slope appeared. And the flight I just did, when I clicked "loc", the glide slope still didn't appear. So I am wondering where I did it wrong. I also checked the website you mentioned here, but somehow if I type in the info from the site, the plane would say ILS error. Can you help me explain how I can detect the final glide slope and do a proper approach? Thanks.

      @@TonyChenMusicOfficial you’re probably just arriving at the localiser too high, which can happen in some routes. Try descending a little lower in FLCH mode if you arrive too high - the idea is to arrive at the slope with the pink glideslope diamond above the horizon on the PFD

      @@vitolam410 not sure about the cargo doors - check the manual on the PMDG website. Engine cutoff is just clicking the fuel switches by the pedestal, then batteries off should end the flight and log it correctly in the sim.

      You can safely ignore/cancel it for a casual flight, it just means you haven’t ticked off the electronic checklist.
      It’s an accurately simulated feature of the airplane, but is not something casual players need to worry about for an A-B flight (as it doesn’t stop you operating the autopilot etc as normal), and therefore is not covered in this video.

      The parking brake is OFF by default. Holding the regular toe brakes for two seconds will stop any forward/backwards roll. Then when you apply throttle, the airplane will move normally.
      The parking brake *should* be operated by using the Parking Brake key to enable it, and holding the toe brakes for two seconds to disable it. However, right now, the behaviour seems inconsistent and buggy. So I recommend leaving the parking brake off and just using the toe brakes.
