- Nail fungus infection is a common nail disease that leads to about 50 percent of nail abnormalities. Its formal name is onychomycosis and tinea unguium and it affects the skin around and under your nails along with the nail plate. Nail Fungus infection most commonly occurs in toenails and usually appears as discolouration and thickening of the nail, and crumbling edges.
Fungal nail infections can be difficult to treat and if home remedies as well as over-the-counter medicines like oral antifungal medications and topical ointments are not proving to be effective then you should definitely consult your doctor at the earliest. Otherwise the condition can become severe over time and it will take a long time to see positive results.
Fungal infection treatment depends on the type of fungus causing it and even if your nail condition improves, repeat infections are common.
You don’t have to be embarrassed if you have toenail or fingernail fungus infection as it’s way more common than you think.

Hey I Had A question ....I my family.... Most of the people have thinning in the Donor area i dont know since when but They all are 40-50 years .....I assume that it might be the case with me as well....I fortunately don't have any in my donor area now.....but i may have it in future.......If i Continue taking Finasteride till i get a transplant and Even After it .... will there be any problems in Getting a good result....
Hi.... Donor area thinning can be prevented by minoxidil and finasteride once you get the head transplant done... But you will have to be very regular with these two... I would suggest discuss this matter with the doctor who is going to do your hair transplant surgery before you undergo surgery

Hi.... Nail can be removed and then antifungal medicines can be started again... But it is better to send nail for tests like microscopic examination and culture and sensitivity
