Steel fibres eliminate all rebar. I've used it on shaft and tunnel lining segments...

just curious...is migration of the metal fibers ever a problem?

neckarsulme: with the natural solution tension and the correct consistency (according to slump) the correct ratio of Fibres and composite materials will always ensure a 100% even distribution. Same way the sand and aggregates evenly distribute when in the right ratio.
All you need to ensure is
      1) the correct ratio of Fibres and type of fibres are present.
      2) the correct consistency is achieved.
      3) the solution is mixed thoroughly.
The Romans managed it with horse hair, pomus, ash, sand and limestone. So it can’t be that hard!

My company, tried these big screeds and they are shit. You can feel that while walking on finished floor. And while working on floor by this technology, I can say that its even more tasking physically to the workers.

Does the steel fiber technology eliminate the need for rebar ?
