Yay!!! Congrats on your victory vs. the claw machine 🎉👏 Hmmm… I think you got the Starbucks Latte for only 200 JPY since you won on your second try. So, I guess you got it cheaper compared to the market price…? * whispered * let’s hope for that scenario 🤞😆 Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your claw machine victory with your prize 😆 And OMG!!!! Ganbatte on your upcoming Mt. Fuji Hiking 💪💪💪 We understand what you’re feeling right now but for sure, you’ll have a GAOsome and memorable hiking experience in Mt. Fuji. Whenever you’re starting to feel nervous or exhausted, take a break and think of the Gaooommunity being there, watching and cheering “GAO RION!!!” 😊🎉 We know that you can do it, Rion because God is always beside you and He will guide and protect you ❤ As always, thanks so much for another travel update and take care! God bless 🙏
19:30 I am Mexican and in the question about knowing when an avocado is good or not, it is enough that you see the upper part of the stem, its color, if it is dark it is past, if it is green it has yet to ripen and if it is yellow it is perfect to eat. greetings.
19:25 I am Mexican and I can tell you that those dark marks are from having the avocado in the refrigerator for a long time or from not eating it quickly once opened. the avocado is a fruit and is very sensitive to the environment. It should be kept at room temperature and once opened, consume it in its entirety preferably. greetings.
It is the first time that the Shibuya crossing was not crowded at all. Even other Shibuya places seemed more pandemic era like. Only the shoping streets frequented mostly by younger generations seemed more vibrant. I am glad you enjoyed your healthy meal. It looked really delicious and there were noone arround so you could eat peacefully. Finger cross for your Mt. Fugy chellenge. Please be careful and do not jeopardize your health. Strenght distribution between going uphill and downhill is essential. As for me downhill is tougher than climbing. I wish you all the best for such a chellenging adventure. But dear Rion do not worry - whatever the outcome may be, even trying it brings along a winning aspect. Let's keep climbing! ⁷
Whew, great job on the claw machine! 200yen for what may be your first win in a long time is pretty good! But never forgot that with gambling the bank always wins. We are wishing you a happy, memorable trip to Mt.Fuji! Any step you manage onto Mt.Fuji is an accomplishment. See how far you feel ok going and don't let it traumatize yourself if you feel like stopping & coming back another time. We'll be happy to watch a second run just as much as a first one. It's so good you finally make the attempt for, you are really growing and not just in terms of subscribers. All the best!
My husband used to work in a Panda Express. He put his heart in it, taking pride in his cooking, and the big wigs would always be impressed with the quality of his food whenever they would visit. Some of his coworkers would only eat there if he was the one cooking.😁❤️
We were there last week, twas a.lot of people esp.on the Shibuya crossing but i guess it was last afternoon so a lot of tourist. Congrats on the.claw.machine!
This fun and relaxing walking tour never fails to brighten up my day!😊 Yipee! a caramel latte win from the claw machine. Glad to see you eating healthy food and drinks. Best of luck Rion to your Mt Fuji climb! Please be healthy and safe.
0:50 Loyal Hachico loves you forever 🫡😘🐕, if you have a chance to visit Shibuya, remember to take a photo with statue Hachico📸😎👍. 4:49 wow! Pretty big piece of cheese 🧀😋. 8:03 🙌 😃 Rion! Finally got it 🥳👏👍! 9:53 This white bus is so cool🤨😎! 11:28 Lovely Curious George Kitchen products😍🤗🙈🙉. 12:07 🤨so special vending machine, Japan is really capable 🤨👍! 14:07 tuna cutlet Teishoku 😋, eat more healthy food 😉👍! You can choose an avocado with a dark green skin, usually you can eat it after a day 😋, press it gently with your hands, it will have a little elasticity instead of being hard, but after cutting it, it is a pity to find that the flesh has turned black, which means it has changed It’s bad, it may taste bad, so it‘s not edible🙅🏻♀️. 20:42 So beautiful😍☺️👍! 21:01 Wow! Universal Studio Store, Casper is so cute😍! 22:43 cute mini storage box 😯, never mind 😁👏, I will definitely visit here next time I come to Tokyo because there are many things I like 😍! The unique design of Omotesando Tokyu Plaza and the beautiful park, 25:10 This new building also has a unique design style😎👍. Thank you so much Rion for the video. Maybe there are not many tourists visiting in summer🤔, or maybe everyone is looking forward to autumn. 🍂😃!
Picking an avocado is pretty easy. You want to gently squeeze them. If they're ripe, they will have a little give to them. If they're hard, they aren't ready. Just made guacamole today!
Good luck climbing Fuji Rion! I did it 2 weeks ago. Bring lots of 100 yen coins for the toilet 🙂 and make sure to take it slow. Altitude sickness isn’t fun.
Was clapping and cheering for you when you finally won at that claw machine! 😂. A winner is a winner, and you’re a winner! And all that cheese - WOW! Be safe on that Mt. Fuji climb. Good to challenge yourself, but don’t risk your safety. Just making the attempt is great. Your loyal viewers are cheering you on no matter what. God bless, Rion!
Natsukashii~ 🥲 I walked this exact route (but add Meiji Jingu) on my first full day in mid-June. Shibuya Crossing was empty at rainy 7 am 😂, but the rain stopped when I inched my way through crowded Takeshita Street that Sunday afternoon. 😆 Hope it won’t be too crowded when you get closer to the top of Mount Fuji. Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful B-rolls in your next vlog. 😆🍻
I also want to experience the “7 am in Shibuya” because for sure it’s a different vibe that I’ll encounter there. I experienced the 7am in Ueno when I did my morning jog there and it’s a wonderful experience 😊 I kinda regret that I didn’t jog up to the Ueno Park. For sure it’s more peaceful there 😆
Avocado advice from Texas. Pick avocado that when pressed has a little give. Then remove stem end if bright green perfect if brown under stem not good. Avocado is great with shoyu too! You can keep avocados in cold water in fridge not cut for two weeks. If you have a hard avocado leave on counter 1 to 2 days and it will be ripe to eat.
Yesss you finally won a claw machine prize!🎉😊 The food at the restaurant looks delicious and healthy. Loving the different sources of protein. The biggest pain is an unripe avocado. It was my biggest enemy when I used to work at Chipotle. It was one thing cutting through a hard avo but another to mash a whole bowl of them. 😂😂 Not sure how to tell which ones are ripe as there are different varieties of avocados. 🥑 I think Chipotle used the Hass type. Anyway, thanks for the hard work. Congrats on 155K subs, so proud 👏 🥲 Gambate on your Mt. Fuji prep
Hi Rion, youcan buy th e avocado and to make sure it will be ripe by the time you eat it, store it with rice storage box, coverit with rice. after 3-5days it will ripe enough and taste better.
Congrats on winning the Starbucks from the crane game! I’m excited to try some crane games too! I practice on the Toreba app too 😋 but it’s crazy to see the park with such few people - I’ve seen other vlogs where the park is super crowded - so interesting to see it empty in summer - but for avocado… I’m not a good cook but my husband makes good guacamole and he told me you have to press the button on top where the stem is to see if the avocado is ok - if it feels mushy then it’s over ripe - but if it’s too firm then it’s not ready yet - it should be you can push it and it bounces back so it’s semi-firm… hopefully that helps but I also saw if it’s not ready you can leave it out for a day or two then it will be ready
The brown lines in the avocado aren’t bad but if the flesh itself is has brown spots it can affect the taste. If you’re not going to eat an avocado that day then pick a hard one and leave out at room temperature until it softens then eat or store in the refrigerator. But if you want to eat the avocado on the same day pick an avocado that is firm but gives a little when you squeeze it. It shouldn’t be squishy just a little soft. 🥑😊👍🏽
Congratulations on the claw machine won finally. With finding a good advocado omg that's a hard task to do. I buy them green and let them ripen on the kitchen bench. If you really need one a good tip is to press at the top of the advocado where the stem is if it's soft then it should be good. But unfortunately I think it's just luck to find one that's ready and not brown or bruised inside.
For avocado, it depends when you plan on eating it. I usually get them a little under and let them rippen at home since I eat them later in the week. To me the best time to eat an avocado is just as it starts to get soft. Too soft and it starts getting brown/black.
28:38 If you’re sure that you want to be nice about it, you could say that the tout was being “persistent” or “determined”. Otherwise you can describe the tout as “pushy”, “aggressive”, or “in your face”. I’ve never had to deal with an aggressive tout in Tokyo (maybe thanks to all the laws addressing it?), but things got a bit uncomfortable when I was on my way to the Bee’s Knees near Pontocho in Kyoto last year. Definitely wasn’t expecting it!
Did you say avocado...here in philippines most especially in remote area provinces like south cotabato very very cheap 😎😎 we can do also a shake and ice crema avocado from harvesting season
Avocados: When buying, make sure it’s green and hard solid. Then you have a few days with it. 1. Hard green, not ready 2. Firm dark green, almost black = perfect. Can save extra for next day 3. Softer dark color, too ripe. Must eat all or throw 4. Dark and too soft = bad If you want to know if it’s still good before cutting, remove the stem piece. If green, still good. Dark, not good.
I’ll be there in five weeks…it’ll be my second time in Japan. I’m trying to avoid Shibuya and focus more on Ikebukuro, Ryogoku, Nippori, Otsuka, etc. Hopefully the crowds will be even less crowded in October. GREAT vid Rion!

I have been watching all of your videos in preparation for a trip to Japan in November. Please describe how the food tastes every time you feature something i.e. sweet, very sweet, salty, bitter, etc. Same with the drinks are all the teas sweetened?
If you flick the stem and it comes off without any resistance or falls off in your hand, chances are, that avocado is too ripe and will be a mushy, brown mess inside. Happy avocado hunting!
Rion, kan you make a episode on Tsutaya in Shibuya Crossing. They going to close on October 30. They will renovate and reopen in spring 2024. I ask because I’m coming there for Halloween October 31. But I’m late by one day 😅 - can you show Starbucks and the store inside? -Lisabeth
Japan sure gets creative with claw games… Actually having to bounce your prize off of a ball, so you need luck on top of skill…???🙃 I have a weakness for claw games…
28:45 maybe you meant to say "aggressively"? When I was in Roppongi there were people who would approach me very aggressively trying to get me into a bar
Hi there Rion! Do you know if they sell the PokeUni range at USJ? Or is it only at the PokeUni stores? Love the videos, keep up the great work! GAOOO! 🦁
Buy unripe avocados, the hard one. Then let it ripe. If it starts to give when press (become soft) then it’s ripe. If you buy it soft, you won’t know what you are getting.
I'm coming to Japan on Sept. 4th, unfortunately during typhoon season. It's going to be raining in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto during my visit. Can you do a video on what to when it rains? Will the parks still be open? Does it rain throughout the day or does it only rain a little everyday like Hawaii?
eats healthy on camera but has a BigMac setto on the side :) but well done eating healthy i need to do the same i am booked to come out to japan in may 2024 is it rude if i brought my own knife and fork to eat food as i can not use chopsticks

Love your vlogs, congrats ❤
I want to visit the picturesque tree-lined shopping street in Omotesando one day. Utskushii 🇯🇵
Rion such a super cheese stretch that you had to hold it in both hands and eat it. Winner winner chicken dinner. Lol

If this on a weekday the crowd is quite a lot ....enjoyed the relaxing walk

Brown avocado is good!! When they are hard and lime green, they still need more time to mature

28:43 maybe "aggressively" is the word you are looking for? :)
Rion-san, arigatou for the constant video uploads! Also, congrats on winning the caramel latte 🍺 Ganbatte for your mt.fuji adventure!
Always a pleasure watching your videos. As a frequent avocado consumer, I have yet to crack the code as well.😄
I came in last week and Harajuku on the Saturday was soooo busy! So you were right Oct / Nov would be busier because of autumn season!
Was in Japan a week ago and stayed for 2 weeks, the crowd is manageable but I can't say the same for the weather 😂 but worth it!
For avocado, it depends when you plan on eating it. I usually get them a little under and let them rippen at home since I eat them later in the week. To me the best time to eat an avocado is just as it starts to get soft. Too soft and it starts getting brown/black.
It was plus 31C here in Canada where I live. We have Panda Express. Gaaaoooo from Canada.

Avocado - remove brown nub on top. If green underneath, it's good. If it's brown, it's overripe.
👍
Even in Harajuku is way less people. Wow. This is crazy!
@rion use some pressure to press on the avocado to determine if its soft or not. its its soft, its ready. you'll gain experience after a few tries
Less people is great. Summer traveling is expensive and too crowded.
There's always a random tourist sitting on the ground eating something. So strange. 😂
Avocados:
When buying, make sure it’s green and hard solid. Then you have a few days with it.
1. Hard green, not ready
2. Firm dark green, almost black = perfect. Can save extra for next day
3. Softer dark color, too ripe. Must eat all or throw
4. Dark and too soft = bad
If you want to know if it’s still good before cutting, remove the stem piece. If green, still good. Dark, not good.
Been wandering around Tokyo for a week and hope to bump into you on the street somewhere 😅
I was so surprised at how bouncy coffee boxes can be 😂 good job on winning!
So exited for the mt. fuji video! Please take your time on the climb up, I hear it can be difficult if you try to rush it past a certain point.
Keep shining brightly!
Do the crowds change significantly as seasons change in Japan? I'm excited to visit Japan for the first time after Christmas this year. How are the crowds during Winter?
Awesome Japan😊❤ just want to ask , for your opinion only~ for first timer to visit Japan better go to Tokyo or Osaka first😅🙏🏻
I have been watching all of your videos in preparation for a trip to Japan in November.
I'm visiting japan, arriving Thursday September 7! Is the weather cooling down at all?
Hopefully we'll get to bump into each other during Halloween in Shinjuku! ^_^
I cant find that universal store in google maps where’s exactly the location?
What is the busy season?
What is it like in December? is it busy or about the same as this video?
It’s much cooler!
And before Christmas much busier!
-Lisabeth
He did not say, "Let's eat the chicken dinner!"😂
🤣🤣🤣

👍
rion, magasawa kana, tumatanda na tayo, para may kasama ka rin sa travel mo.😄
Let‘s keep eating … and he looks like a cheese-Dracula ! 😂
I'm happy to see Muslims in Japan ❤
Hi Rion,Will shibuya snow in December?
Very rarely.. if you are very lucky, you might see!
Hello is it still hot next week 1st week of september? Thanks
Yes still hot!
In my tesco this coffee 4€
I’m from Puerto Rico and the avocados are much better than the Mexican avocado.
They grow everywhere and go to waste when they fall from the trees.
Than you Rion, does Tokyo have parks for the public that allow 24 hour camping?
There are many camping site, so yes!
No bananas at the curious George restaurant? 😊
😂
Wait, so the 10 Yen bread is actually worth 500 yen??
Why do all the cars look so plain?
28:00 seen some vile shit in that restroom.
eats healthy on camera but has a BigMac setto on the side :) but well done eating healthy i need to do the same i am booked to come out to japan in may 2024 is it rude if i brought my own knife and fork to eat food as i can not use chopsticks
Cult cultures is everywhere in the world. Aggressive promotion might be the word you are looking for just now. Have a safe hike at Mt Fuji.
Ok phew just 15 minutes late this time im still getting used to the random uploading 😅
