As an Amazon employee let me share some information regarding shipping. Please do not order any liquids and non-liquid items (i.e. electronics etc) to be shipped in the same box. Many delays are the result of liquids that spill and the packages have to be replaced/re-ordered. When you are ordering you can request items to be shipped in separate boxes.

I noticed, esp around Black Friday, that some sellers raised their prices, then put them on "sale" for the price they had been advertised all year. Only reason I noticed is bc those items were in my faves for awhile, so I remembered the original prices.

As a Senior citizen, I don't own a TV, so my phone is my window to the world, and this combo, along with YT, enables me to be selective about what I spend my time watching, and I'm not paying hundreds per month for services I can't afford, and don't use. If you want a t v, smaller are pretty cheap. Put one of the antennas that screws into the back of the t v. Under twenty bucks ( once ) and get free t v.

Shopping secret #11: You can add names onto your Prime membership. This works great for family members who have an Amazon log in, but you can also put the name of a friend on your membership. I realized this when my wife was finding stuff on Amazon and then coming to me to make the purchase because she didn't want to pay for Prime. I just added her name to mine and now she can use her own log in and use Prime without paying a membership fee.
My husband holds the account but I added myself since I wanted the 2 day shipping. Now I use my own account with the same benefits. I am gonna add my teenage son next year too.
I've been buying "Amazon renewed" everything for the past ten years. I have never had a problem and you're right, I can return any item for 90 days without having to pay for return shipping.

Another way to save is the capitol one extension. When I click on an amazon product it will let me know if there is a cheaper product somewhere or if that is the best price.
amazon coupons and amazon deals are good if you're looking for something but not wanting to blow all your money on. Plus the free shipping and often getting items in a day or 2 just makes it awesome-er. I was looking for a touch lamp for my desk and walmart wanted $30 for one, I got mine with a coupon for $15, free ship and got here in 2 days.

Oh heck ya. I used to buy my cat a toy every week when I went shopping. If I didn't give it to him fast enough he'd try to find it on his own. So I'd give it to him and he'd play with the packaging...LOL After all that his favorite toy was a rubber band.

If you need a product on Amazon and you can get it used get it used. On the product list choose more buying options. Make sure it’s Amazon certified. The price is way lower. Usually it’s a open box return and the product is in perfect condition. I got a Keurig Mini Jan 2022 for $55 free shipping compared to $70 to $80.

thanks for this content. with myself being a tightwad I have used the amazon "renewed / open box" several times with great results. One time I swear the item was brand new - never even opened. But I also got a stinker. the item was broken and the way it was packaged and the location of the broken piece (in a zip lock bag lol) , I could tell it did not happen in transit to me. Amazon was great at doing the return.

FYI when buying baked goods breads etc anything with a colored plastic tab the colors are due to freshness, so say a blue is fresh then green,orange white yellow ,eachtime say Dempsters,Wonderbread etc come to restock the tab color will change,so if your looking at your bread and see blue & green tabs grab the green, after the yellow it goes back to blue & so on. Most people just grab from the back But softies a store will put what they want gone to the back or mix it up so check your colors.
My family has been buying from Amazon since 1994 back when they only sold books. I used to have coffee mugs they gave out as gifts. I actually used to talk to them on the phone and give them urls for other online book stores so they could coordinate & make deals with them. I miss when they had US based customer service. I have friends who are on Medicaid & get EBT so I will let them know about the discounts. Hopefully it will really help out as they have a brand new baby & are struggling. I would love to see you do something like this for Lowes. I like Lowes bc they let me apply my military discount to online orders and in-store pickup orders. There's an employee there who keeps trying to get me to set up a Lowes credit card saying something about 20% off but I don't know all the details & she always seems to catch me when I'm in a hurry. I don't know if you address this in any of your videos because I don't watch all of them but in reference to Amazon Prime if you have an EBT card (food stamps), the deal goes down to $6 which is basically half price of what their normal fee is. Appreciate all your research and informative videos! I'm on disability and everything I see from you can benefit me at some point in my life. Matt, YOU are awesome and I LOVE your videos! I am a current prime member and I Love it!!! I order items several times a week as I have no vehicle to get to the store. Also and, due to health issues I don't want to go out if I can help it due to Covid. Also, I have cancelled Netflix for the time being and only watch Prime and TH-cam. The cost of my prime membership is what I was paying for Netflix alone and Prime offers me different options such as music, reading and videos...and of course, free shipping and great customer service. I couldn't ask for more! Keep up the great work Matt!
Thanks for all the great info Matt! You suggest that we contact customer service if we have problems… But that's not always possible. I've had a few problems with inaccurate descriptions when buying products and therefore getting the wrong size of or less of an item. This is usually easily corrected if they are third party Sellers, but when Amazon fulfills them you can't always find so where to submit a complaint or feedback. And calling right now doesn't work, because they're not open due to Covid-19… Do you have any other suggestions on how I can resolve some issues? Also, I always forget about Amazon Video… Although I have found quite a few things that I want to watch and I add them to my list every time I turn on my Fire Stick Hulu, Netflix and TH-cam are right there so I always go for one of those instead.

They just announced a price increase to $139/yr. I don't order enough to justify paying that much, especially bc Bezos knows everyone is being hammered by price increases from all directions.
Amazon doesn't give you squat for your used devices. May as well give to a family member or friend. Any time you buy anything, check the area that says "this item may be available at a lower price from other sellers". It has the warehouse deals as well as possible used items.
I'm in South Florida and 2 day shipping is still on point. I was shocked. On point even at the outset of the pandemic. I'm impressed. However, I can see the packaging of items has been relaxed though but my things still reach me undamaged
I have been shopping in these last 3 months from my debit rewards card in Amazon prime, look for bargains 50%-90% 😊 got lucky, only spent probably $500 plus for $8k plus products. My Christmas shopping is done so no more prime membership for me till next year! Every now and then, I shops for the convenience and if the products I need is much cheaper than the places I usually shops, compare compare I do (love this new technology). I have an Amazon Prime membership but do find that I prefer Netflix and Hulu for viewing to what is offered on Prime Video. Nice extra benefit since I get my money worth from the free shipping. Also, free music and reading are a great benefit.
I originally subscribed to Prime to have the video option. I do order products and may benefit by ordering quantities, but I've noticed for the last few months, most of the movies and shows I search are not available for 'free' any longer. They are at a lesser charge ($2.99 and up) but many shows were available on 'Prime' for free. As with everything, I guess, things are getting more expensive and everyone charges a fee for something ... 😢
On Amazon I noticed that when I sort from lowest price to highest it doesn't display the black Friday sales in that order. It displays items in the order of their original price. So, if you have a max budget keep scrolling because you might find something better at a lower price.
I live in Alaska and MOST companies won’t give the same shipping options that are offered in the lower 48. Some won’t ship at all. ( Many companies don’t know that Alaska is part of the U.S. and is on the same continent, not overseas). Our Prime membership pays for itself many times over.
I have had Amazon prime for years. I use most of the offerings. I haven't had cable TV for years and have streamed Amazon video almost exclusively. With the exception of watching your great videos on TH-cam.
I not only shop and save with Prime, but also use Prime Video as well as Prime Music and will be uploading photos since Google is going to be charging for that now. I have Netflix by but find that I like having access to Prime Video for a greater variety of entertainment, it's worth it to me to have both.

I buy auto parts on Amazon. I save so much! Many times half the price of auto parts stores. My husband likes to work on cars, at first he did not want to even look on Amazon, after I ordered engine parts for him and he saved hundreds, he shops there first.
My family absolutely loves Prime Video!!! Oh and by the way the Subscribe-n-Save program is my favorite perk the program has to offer! No running out of the essentials or handling heavy bags of animal food or cat litter... they just show up on my doorstep like magic! Oh and you can modify the frequency that you need each item delivered whenever you want through the app!
Question : how do you present these items with the lower prices when u pay for them at the register ? What do you tell rhe cashier or if your checking our at self service how to you get the lower price
For the warehouse, if you use the app on your phone: click the three horizontal menu bar, then go to “shop by department” , then click “see all” and go to “Amazon warehouse”. For the coupons, you can usually see a coupon if available on an item you were looking at/for, or in the Amazon search bar type : “coupons” and the coupon icon will appear underneath. Hope this helps, I’m not sure how it works on a computer/laptop as I shop on my phone.

If you have a Ebt (foodstamps)card you can get a Prime Membership and use your Ebt Benefits in California and New York with free food delivery. Those are the only two states that I know that have the benefit of buying food with your Ebt card. You should still be able to get a Prime membership with your Ebt regardless of what state you live in, you'll have to pay the fee with a bank card. Hope this helps.
Am I the only one who got nothing out of him talking about "bargain finds"?? WHERE is it? You didn't bother to say where we can find it and it is not anywhere that I can find, even through Google. So this was pointless and completely unhelpful.
Be careful when subscribing to auto shipments. If the price goes up you will be charged that and if you don’t keep checking it you could be paying more than you ever wanted. I’ve read many comments on Amazon about that and some items do jump up in price quite a bit. I see it a lot with food.

I’m a bit confused about the coupons. You say Amazon has a section with these coupons but do we have to look thru them? Hey deal guy. I don't know if you address this in any of your videos because I don't watch all of them but in reference to Amazon Prime if you have an EBT card (food stamps), the deal goes down to $6 which is basically half price of what their normal fee is. Appreciate all your research and informative videos! I'm on disability and everything I see from you can benefit me at some point in my life. Matt, YOU are awesome and I LOVE your videos! I am a current prime member and I Love it!!! I order items several times a week as I have no vehicle to get to the store. Also and, due to health issues I don't want to go out if I can help it due to Covid. Also, I have cancelled Netflix for the time being and only watch Prime and TH-cam. The cost of my prime membership is what I was paying for Netflix alone and Prime offers me different options such as music, reading and videos...and of course, free shipping and great customer service. I couldn't ask for more! Keep up the great work Matt!

You suggest that we contact customer service if we have problems… But that's not always possible. I've had a few problems with inaccurate descriptions when buying products and therefore getting the wrong size of or less of an item. This is usually easily corrected if they are third party Sellers, but when Amazon fulfills them you can't always find so where to submit a complaint or feedback. And calling right now doesn't work, because they're not open due to Covid-19… Do you have any other suggestions on how I can resolve some issues?
Also, I always forget about Amazon Video… Although I have found quite a few things that I want to watch and I add them to my list every time I turn on my Fire Stick Hulu, Netflix and TH-cam are right there so I always go for one of those instead.

I think 1 of the saving secrets should be to pay for the Amazon Prime by the year and not by the month. You save about $36 - $37 USD.

Amazon doesn't give you squat for your used devices. May as well give to a family member or friend. Any time you buy anything, check the area that says "this item may be available at a lower price from other sellers". It has the warehouse deals as well as possible used items.
I'm in South Florida and 2 day shipping is still on point. I was shocked. On point even at the outset of the pandemic. I'm impressed. However, I can see the packaging of items has been relaxed though but my things still reach me undamaged

I have been shopping in these last 3 months from my debit rewards card in Amazon prime, look for bargains 50%-90% 😊 got lucky, only spent probably $500 plus for $8k plus products. My Christmas shopping is done so no more prime membership for me till next year! Every now and then, I shops for the convenience and if the products I need is much cheaper than the places I usually shops, compare compare I do (love this new technology). I have an Amazon Prime membership but do find that I prefer Netflix and Hulu for viewing to what is offered on Prime Video. Nice extra benefit since I get my money worth from the free shipping. Also, free music and reading are a great benefit.
I use Amazon several times a month and watch Amazon shows frequently. My adult daughter share the cost, I pay for Amazon and she pays for Netflix.

I originally subscribed to Prime to have the video option. I do order products and may benefit by ordering quantities, but I've noticed for the last few months, most of the movies and shows I search are not available for 'free' any longer. They are at a lesser charge ($2.99 and up) but many shows were available on 'Prime' for free. As with everything, I guess, things are getting more expensive and everyone charges a fee for something ... 😢
On Amazon I noticed that when I sort from lowest price to highest it doesn't display the black Friday sales in that order. It displays items in the order of their original price. So, if you have a max budget keep scrolling because you might find something better at a lower price.
I live in Alaska and MOST companies won’t give the same shipping options that are offered in the lower 48. Some won’t ship at all. ( Many companies don’t know that Alaska is part of the U.S. and is on the same continent, not overseas). Our Prime membership pays for itself many times over.

I not only shop and save with Prime, but also use Prime Video as well as Prime Music and will be uploading photos since Google is going to be charging for that now. I have Netflix by but find that I like having access to Prime Video for a greater variety of entertainment, it's worth it to me to have both.

I buy auto parts on Amazon. I save so much! Many times half the price of auto parts stores. My husband likes to work on cars, at first he did not want to even look on Amazon, after I ordered engine parts for him and he saved hundreds, he shops there first.

No running out of the essentials or handling heavy bags of animal food or cat litter... they just show up on my doorstep like magic! I do not shop Amazon but I browse. And you are correct. I found good deals by going to the manufacturer and not Amazon or Wal-Mart.

For the warehouse, if you use the app on your phone: click the three horizontal menu bar, then go to “shop by department” , then click “see all” and go to “Amazon warehouse”. For the coupons, you can usually see a coupon if available on an item you were looking at/for, or in the Amazon search bar type : “coupons” and the coupon icon will appear underneath. Hope this helps, I’m not sure how it works on a computer/laptop as I shop on my phone.
Hi I might sound dense but I pay for amazon prime and also I pay monthly for kindle unlimited. I saw there is unlimited reading with prime. Is it the same as kindle unlimited? Have I been paying for a service that was included with my prime?

If you have a Ebt (foodstamps)card you can get a Prime Membership and use your Ebt Benefits in California and New York with free food delivery. Those are the only two states that I know that have the benefit of buying food with your Ebt card. You should still be able to get a Prime membership with your Ebt regardless of what state you live in, you'll have to pay the fee with a bank card. Hope this helps.

Be careful when subscribing to auto shipments. If the price goes up you will be charged that and if you don’t keep checking it you could be paying more than you ever wanted. I’ve read many comments on Amazon about that and some items do jump up in price quite a bit. I see it a lot with food.
