You will just grief your entire team if you play lights while you dont know what you re doing. Also light tanks do not play the same positions then meds or heavies. Therefor its completely useless to play them if you want to learn those spots in the first place.
The commentary on what to watch out for and how to avoid getting shot is good. But I have to say all of these are standard positions and I'd argue that an accurate title should say only 50% of players use these :D
I agree these are all more or less "standard" positions that decent players know and use. Some of these positions rely on really dumb enemies (like enemy heavies on Fisherman's just driving out into the open and not taking the correct pathing to the city) to get the damage. It's good to take these positions and get the shots when it's there, but a good chunk of the time you'll drive to these spots and get nothing.
That is the kind of content I was looking for. Lately I've got back to playing WoT hoping to have fun and I was out of touch with positions and such. Thanks mate

This. Also first or 2nd game I discovered that position when map was in rotation for like one week, I farmed like 3800dmg for free there. Now it's almost impossible. Enemies are aware of you, preaimed at you and the don't cross in spotting distance.

Can you make a video explaining early game spots for light, medium and heavy tanks, bushes for TDs and positions for arty? This would be the most useful video/series of videos for gaining skill.
I already knew 90% of these, but whenever I go there, enemies either don't show up at all, aren't getting spotted for whatever reason, or I just somehow miss all my shots. Also on maps such as empires border and fishermans bay, i frequently end up getting lemingrushed by enemies.
That last one, i have never been able to pull off, because the enemy seems to be able to get into position before I can knock those trees down. Maybe I just approach it wrong though. Edit: also feels really good to know that I found out about at least one of these spots on my own :D
BTW on empires border you can drive up to the ledge thats behind the position you showed and then you are completly hull-down (in smaller tanks) but super open to arta. It can sometimes be useful.
for the position uh said in empires border .. there is a counter for it ... 'W' formed at k4 .. atleast this is the trend on asia server .. recently i found it out while i used the position uh played and 2 Tds just obliterated me .. morever they cant be outspotted bcoz of tree line in between until uh pass the rock in between ..

in Paris there is easy counter in enemy team, but it have to be fast tank with camo, in corner of buildings, always play there with Leopard 1 and counter almost full highground of players in side which u showed

Fisherman's bay: that position very good for low tier tanks too. If you are with med tank, and can use your tank's armor, you can get nearly 10k+ blocked dmg 😉 i used it so much, when i was at this side.
Most of those spots are well known, you might want to say what you do, when you have 5 team mates holding the same position. Sudianki requires team mates to be on the other side which they don't always cooperate. Lately, my team has been much harder to deal with than the other team. Bad driving, angry that you took their spot, coming to the same spot vs spreading out (lemmingrush is the grand dad of this). But there are good pointer here of staying protected. thanks Oh and btw, since they are well know, the enemy avoids many of them nowadays, Paris. its still useful but seldom do you get to farm there anymore.
In charkow, from the north side in the heavy line, i dont remember where exactly, you can play with a FV4005 unspotted and can shoot through the windows
this is what I always do, I'm starting to think that the Singapore server is the most competitive server since they all know about this, and they keep coming from unexpected angles.
Just remember to carry your complete set of gold ammunition, the best crew, equipment, food and inflatable doll to feather those shoots almost with no efforts, and remember to upgrade to premiun...^^
Now I know why someone said Asia server is the hardest, like wtf were they doing, running blindlessly in the middle of the map just to make sure everyone can farm damage

How do you deal with scouts in the middle for the positions in studzianki? I am usually that scout in the middle and I find that tanks in those positions are often quite powerless against my team in the south. Not easy farms because they are hull down but eventually my teams shots hit weakspots and slowly they get wittled down. Controlling the south atleast up until the dried up riverbed seems more important to me on that map.

My games are mostly < ding / ding / ding / didn't penetrate / critical hit / ding / ding / hit for half of the dmg I should deal / ding / ding - game over > All your shots penetrated, passed through adjacent buildings and holes and hit where my shots usually break the tracks, while my shots hit the walls, go over, hit the ground with the target at 5 m in front of me or totally disappear into thin air. Of course I will have all the experts telling me I don't know how to play, but after 10 years of WOT, I think I know at least how to shoot.

I use all of these positions and unfortunately on the SEA servers most people are aware of them and don't drive around in front of you like the muppets in the video. Also as others have mentioned there is usually a squabble over the positions with other players on the team.
One of my hardest troubles in WoT is knowing where to go and its why i keep losing games, this video helped a lot. Thanks kajzoo

Asia Server? I knew some of the positions but rarely works out. Different approaches in the game for different servers I guess.

the most important point you must not forget is that you are one of the best players on the Eu server
