    Twinmotion is definitely better especially if your going for realism. Just turn on Path Tracing and its super ahead of its competitors.

    I understand that TM doesn't support PT on Mac but make this comparison at this moment is the same to compare scanline render to a v-ray render, there is no point to do that. It's obvious that Enscape will perform better 'cause it's software is designed to offer Ray Traced render to both OS and chips available on the market. I'm pretty sure TM will support PT on Mac as soon as possible and after that bring them to do a out of the box "render fight" and also make another one showing the same scene but with all the assets in place, objects, material, everything in the maximum quality on both softwares! Would be really awesome 'cause they're nice renderers, they both have pros and cons and have many things to improve!

    • @DavidTomic

      depending on what system your own. Enscape is way more advances on pc than Mac, so it a solid rendering choice, whilst Twinmotion is still miles ahead on Mac comparatively.

    If u wanted to do an apples to apples comparison switch on PT in TM. You're comparing raster mode to raytraced mode.

    Good stuff! I haven't tried Enscape yet. I've used TM as a residential designer for a few years now. It's grown a lot, but still has a long way to go, especially interior lighting. The new 2.4 version of D5 Render blows TM out of the water as far as global illumination goes.

  • @alexmuller452
    @alexmuller452 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    this is not a fair comparison tbh, you used twin motions opengl renderer which has zero raytracing/pathtracing capability against the path tracer in enscape. A much better demonstration would have been, if you compared the path tracer in twinmotion against the path tracer in enscape, inscape might also win i never tested that, but that at least is a fair comparison . otherwise the video doesn't make much sense, it is like saying illustrator is better than photoshop as the graphics look sharper, ignoring that one software is pixel based the other is vector based. btw the path tracer in twinmotion can be activated with one click without going in any windows, so it still counts as out of the box.

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well no, because the point of the video is to illustrate that on Mac Twinmotion does not have those capabilities whilst enscape does. I actually use twinmotion so it’s more of a push to bring light to the topic and hopefully progress twinmotion faster

    Enscape was originally developed for use in Revit. It also works (and has for some time) with ArchiCAD, Rhino, and Vectorworks so I'm not sure where your info came from?
    I use both. My choice depends on how I want to present a project. If I want a more interactive presentation i.e. walking a client through a fully rendered model without UI symbols/graphics etc. I typically use Enscape. If I want better images/videos I'll use TM with path tracing.
    Comparing the two by just looking at raw image output after importing your model with no user input is ridiculous.

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. Both are really good. But you can save tons of time with Enscape. And time is money. If thats not an issue for you, you can get better result with TM, but you will spend doble of time to get better results.

  • @MacBamboocha
    @MacBamboocha ปีที่แล้ว

    Those are not "out of the box" materials though. You are setting up Enscape/vray materials directly in Enscape which the program can read natively, while the TM model only got flat surfaces,. So you're comparing normal maps, no correct glass roughness etc. with rasterization versus real time on top. Not to mention that's an older version of TM as well, six months ago the new better version was out already...
    You could model simple geometries in Sketchup, divide the model in groups or colors in a matter of minutes and then actually setting up the scene in TM - which is probably even faster compared of doing it in ArchiCAD. This comparison is quite useless frankly speaking! 😅
    No offense to Enscape, it seems a hell lot better compared to a few years back.

The ball is in Apple's camp. Its not which one is better, its which one works on Mac .
