Yes me too, I hadn't realized it was hardwired as the HISS system, so actually has a backup battery, I ended up leaving it well alone in the end, scared of creating more problems than I would have solved :)
Don't forget to inform your insurance company that you disable a factory fitted alarm. Obviously you do not ride far from home and when you do never leave it unattended.
I've a 2003 cb1300 key in ignition barrel Is sticky and needs jiggling to turn on . Hiss alarm on these bikes is a pain and vry expensive if barrel needs replacing. Otherwise these are great bikes.
I remember most older Suzuki bikes have issues with the inginition barrel's, where you have to slightly lift the key to get them to turn, but not ever really seen this on the Honda's? When the key goes in half way, you can actually turn the whole barrel 360 degrees! Once you finally manage to get the key in 100% it's stiff too. Think I'll let someone else deal with sorting this problem 🤪
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Even compared to something like a Speed Triple 1050 these feel more beefy lol, lovely looking bike you found there, looking forward to coming with you on the ridealong
@@allthatglitterz4564 Yes again I've had a few 1050 Speedies, and you're right, these big old girls do feel much more secure, ride along video coming in next couple of weeks, plus lots more!
@@allthatglitterz4564 Yeah couple of surprises in store, stuff I've not done before, and hopefully, my other dream bike is coming soon, trying to put a deal together on that as we speak :)
Maybe ask on the FaceBook group page, or download the user manual and see if there is a section there for front suspension. I can't actually remember now sorry.
Dam got to love muscle bikes. So much torque to glide around on effortlessly. Love the white, red and black bits
Certainly the best Colour Combo in my opinion, looks a little ordinary in any other Colour I think :)
Such a gem of a bike.
One of my all time favourites :)
Had some proper 'mares removing Datatool alarms. Best filed in the bin once they're off.

Dreadful things! Used to run the battery down on my first bike. Avoided alarms ever since.
@@h2489-m2l yes of course.... that's another very good reason to hate bike alarms 😂
I have an 04 model as well. Love it!
Awesome machines 🙂

Must have top box or panniers. What mount is onthis one?
Not sure sorry, think it was a Givi, but the bike has sold now 🙂
Still love these older bikes, just feel so solid compared to newer bikes?
Have to agree with that, had a lot bikes in my life, and these older big bikes do feel very solid and planted on the road

Thinking of getting it as a second bike; I can’t seem to find out if the front suspension is adjustable?

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes I downloaded the user manual and it's there, indeed. It is adjustable. Thanks for the tip
