I wonder how good of a job if I used the harrows your are showing here to run in wheat stubble ahead of a no til air seeder ? Nice looking operation this farm has. Thanks for all your help
The Kelly is built in Australia their original purpose was to work wheat stubble. They work from to 1 to 1.5 inches. They are perfect for mixing residue and fertilizer. Many farms here are using them to work wheat seed into corn stalks to seed their wheat crops in the fall now.
@@bigtractorpower the farm I was talking about always double crops wheat to soybeans and back to wheat his usual way of seeding . And plants the corner in 30" rows Thanks for commenting so quickly
We’ve got two 8RX340’s and three 8R 340’s they cost more like $380,000. The 8RX’s cost about $90,000 more than the wheeled. The list price is just that, a list price, nobody ever pays that much.
John Deere 40 S with Hesling Welding offset disk. I still remember when the disk was delivered to replace the JD P75 disk tiller that I restored 5 years ago.
Just love spring tillage. This farm had a great lineup of equipment. Those Kelly Diamond Harrows continue to impress me. I wonder whats better.....the Diamond Harrow or a speed disc?? Probably depends on the soil type? Awesome video Jason.
Both types of implements are great. It all depends what you need to do to the soil. The Kelly is great for working the top inch to smooth, mix and incorporate. A high speed disk will run up to 6 inches deep to really work the soil and bury residue.
Saw two or three of these Kelly’s on the lot at my local Wright implement in Owensboro. Wonder if it was these? We run a Deere 9220 and a Ford versatile 946 for spring tillage pulling a case 330 turbo and first year model Great Plains turbo till. Plant with a 235 magnum and 3600 16/31 kinze.
Looks like their one of the few guys who take the weights off the front of their tractors in the spring, those harrows must not pull that hard so they don’t need the extra weight on the front?
The Kellys work allot of ground in a hurry and do not require allot of horse power. The first farm in town that bought one 12 years ago told me it was the best tillage investment he ever made. He replaced two 30ft turbo tills with a 45ft Kelly. He is still running the same Kelly today. This farm and several others in town have since added Kelly Harrows to their operations. They are simple and effective.
Thank you for another great video Jason seeing all those tractors moving around it's like beauty in motion where will we be without John Deere to feed Americans and Jesus Christ to save us from our sins blessings from Martinsville Indiana Jesus saves
Those were the same 8R 340s that are running the Kelly 4012s in this spring video. The tractors rip, harrow and side dress corn through out the season.
Brilliant video and field results, thank you Jason
There is something very satisfying about watching these diamond harrows in action. Thank you, and keep up the great work.
I really like kelly diamond harrows😁👍 it's cool to see spring field work again😄👍 thanks for the video Jason👍👍
They are a great tillage tool. 👍👍
Enjoyed the video 👍 A lot of those Kelly chain harrows used here in Aus, as much for weed control as seed bed preparation. Regards from Down Under.
Great Australian product. They have been come very popular sellers here in Kentucky.
@@bigtractorpower Yes, covers a lot of country quickly and cheaply, gives a good level top to plant into.
Great equipement for tillage team i love this equipement

Hi Noe. They make a nice tillage team. Thank you for watching.

Over a million dollars of tractors working the ground there. The operation must be huge. *And then the articulated tractor showed up. 😂
And there is a pair of those 9R 440s running 😁. Stay tuned for a video on planting.
I believe their grain setup is larger than most commercial facilities are here.
Over a million dollars with the tractor and corn planter also

Business expenses. Make a big investment and get an even bigger return.
Hi Jason, this video is the top..
Very good work the Kelly discs👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇮🇹 Happy seeding time for everibody

Excellent video once again big T 👍👍👍
Its great watching the diamond harrows getting the job done efficiently...
Impressive how it handled those muddy ruts. Great video as always, Jason!
Those harrow's are always so impressive.
They are. They do a good job and cover the acres in a hurry.
Love a nice track-free non-articulating tractor.
Howdy bigtractorpower love the Kelly chain disc
The Kelly harrows do a nice job. Never had one but they are neat.
They are a good tillage tool.
Excellent video 👍
Thank you for watching.
That is a awesome outfit
Very effective on time and setting up the field.
Pretty cool for sure got to be nice to do like 80' at a time

Good video.
Thank you Frank. It was fun to fun to film. I could have made it 30 minuted long I got so much footage.
Hi Jason. Just stumbled across an old Allis-Chalmers on tracks in Cumbria U.K. Took a short video & a couple of photos. Can I email them over?

@@bigtractorpower ok that’s really neat, that explains why they don’t need all the extra weight to pull those Kelly’s.
Really neat setup, about how deep are they running those? Looks like their just working the top up a little bit.
They are working about 1 inch deep. They do a great job. Each one will cover 17 acres an hour.
@@bigtractorpower ok nice 👍. That’s covering ground fast.
There’s a discrepancy in your description, you said these are 39 feet wide, but the description says 30
People makes mistakes so what
They’re running Butte disc chains on those Kelly harrows.
👍👍
Great video jason! Love the Deere's!!! Cant wait for planting videos!!!

is it deap enough to drill into.good video
Yes it runs 1 to 1.5 inches seed. It works the soil, mixes up residue and incorporates fertilizer well.
The question I am more intrigued by is did Matt manage to get you with an April Fools or manage to prank you at some point while you're filming?
What Was the model number
Of the 2 John Deere tractors that was running the rippers
Those were the same 8R 340s that are running the Kelly 4012s in this spring video. The tractors rip, harrow and side dress corn through out the season.
Never seen a disc like that. Looks like it’s doing a great job.
How do I post a short clip to my infantile channel? 🙋🤔🙏🏻
👏👏👍👍👌👌🚜🚜💪💪🇧🇷
Why would you need 11 reverse gears on the tractor kind of dumb i think
it's in reason, if you want to go fast or slow, ability for speed and power are essential
I agree, it’s over kill.
The low IQ would think that it’s overkill.
Great Job Arnold Farms!
