Thanks for this Bob! It's a beautiful area that we love boating to, we woke up on anchor one morning to the site of a bear eating mussels along the shoreline. This is the ocean version of Stanley Park for all Vancouverites and visitors to enjoy, not to be destroyed by industry.
Fantastic video - thanks for sharing this jewel. I agree, Howe Sound is the wrong place for such a big quarry. This doesn't make sense if the BC government only a decade ago re-introduced 40 elk to the area, a species that depends on this ecosystem as intact.
A giant Gravel Mining Operation on this beautiful Howe Sound area would be Ecological Genocide. Howe Sound is an area of outstanding natural beauty and should be preserved as such for future generations. Albertans should not be permitted to come to B.C. to devastate one of our most beautiful areas!!
