A sad story but a great video. Being a loyal reader of the VANCOUVER CITY on the EDGE since 2003, I was delighted and honored to have met you at the Fraser River estuary this morning.
My old friend Tim Turner. Introduced me to wild water canoeing and a love of all things wild. Still true to his long cherished and heart-felt principles. ~ “Chucker” from SRB.
Thanks for this very timely story. It makes me wonder how many rural areas in BC are undergoing similar practices where it is 'out of sight, out of mind' for the public. I'd love to hear a forester's take on this too. Great video!
well crafted - compelling story, visual perspectives and soundtracks. what gear are you using to capture these Bob? the letter writing and public response is so needed. hard to believe how little change forest practices have seen in over 49 years
Since Whispering Creek is salmon bearing then no logging should be crossing the water course, even in the headwaters. What S-ranking does the creek have?

Nice work Bob! Excellent craft and nicely written .... you've come a long way grasshopper!

Great message! Logging reforms are way overdue across Canada. The fact that it's still legal to cut old growth at all is just ridiculous.
Great video Bob. Thanks for spreading the word about this logging.
A powerful account of what will happen. Note that the ‘Ancient Forest Alliance’ is a worthwhile group to join which address many areas in BC

Hi bob
Signed. Thanks.
Isn't there a treaty with the indigenous peoples? Is it not native land?
This is stealing from the future. Total theft.
