Hi, this was the best tutorial I found on knitting a sweater top down, German short rows and raglan increases. I will be referring back to your video as I profess with my project. Thank you, Ambah!
I am knitting your top down cardigan as per video (was unable to purchase the pattern but this seems to work just fine) Thanks so much for this tutorial, I am back to Australia when listening to you, its really well done. Thank you Claudia in Iceland
@@ambahobrien Hi Ambah, I am Australian, so how could I not enjoy the accent, brings back lots of memories....😅 Looking forward to new projects of yours, all the best!
Hi Ambah, great tutorial thank you. Is there any chance of doing a tutorial for one with the eyelets? I have the pattern but am a little intimdated by them. I have learnt a lot from watching this video.
Thank you Ambah for a fantastic comprehensive tutorial. I think I could achieve this. It looks a perfect fit for you. Love hearing an Aussie on TH-cam. From another Aussie in Adelaide. Looking forward to more fantastic videos. 😃
Fabulous!... I am a novice knitter and have been looking to knit my first ever cardigan for myself. I really like the look of this cardigan and I think I may be able to achieve a finish. I liked your tutorial, it was nice to follow so hopefully it will turn out great. Thank you! 🧶💖
I knit your beautiful pattern and this was my very first sweater! I am an experienced knitter and have wanted to do a sweater for a while. I generally knit socks. I would love to see a video snippet of how you do the eyelet section. I am casting on my second one and this is my go to pattern! I may play around with some color work in the yolk! Thank you so much for this!
I really like those stitch holders with a flexible cord or a set of smaller double points for setting aside the sleeves. It’s easy to start knitting the sleeves from a needle.
Buenas noches Sra Ambah, muy hermoso su trabajo, justo es el tipo de cuello de este sweater que no se hacer, pero por favor traducir al Español. Muchas gracias. Saludos desde mi querido 🇵🇪😊
Ambah, Thank you for this tutorial! New knitter here. I loved the yarn you used with the specks of color. What is the exact yarn used? I would love to make this sweater. I just purchased your pattern. ❤😊 Just read through comments and saw the yarn is Hedgehog Fibers!
Hi, I used DK weight (8ply) yarn with US6/4mm needles. The yarn is Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy - you can see my project notes on Ravelry here: www.ravelry.com/projects/ambahobrien/celestia-cardigan-3
Super useful tutorial. I had never seen the German short rows before. So nice not to wrap and turn. Where can I purchase your pattern, Ambah? I need a warm winter sweater.
I love your pattern but I love the one you are wearing with extra eyelets.. Do you have a pattern for that one? Can I just continue the eyelets instead of stopping at the sleeves? Thank you for the tutorial.
Apologies for the slow reply, I missed your question. The pattern with the eyelets is the Celestia Cardigan. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/celestia-cardigan
HI, you will need a copy of the pattern to work from, do you have this? If so and you still have questions, please e-mail me at the e-mail address on the pattern.
Wonderful, thank you. The Yarn is Hedgehog Fibers (HHF) "Tweedy" it is quite glorius. It can be a bit tricky to get hold of, I suggest you try putting an order in with your LYS or online HHF supplier.
This is a beautiful cardi. Do you think this pattern plus video (intend to purchase pattern) would be easy enough to follow for a beginner's first cardigan?
Ambah, I am wondering if the Celestia pattern is the same pattern as you knit in this video, but just plain without the eyelet pattern stitches? If so, I will purchase the Celestia pattern. I really like the plainer cardigan you knit in this video. Thank you for the great tutorial and keep them coming! Love the yarn too!
All the stitch counts for each size are given in my patterns, if you want to make a round neck version of this pattern you could use the pullover version of the design.
Well I must say, this looks a lot easier than I first thought. I'm definitely going to give this a go, even though I don't mind as much as I used to sewing up now that I have become better at it. Thank you so much for the tutorial.
I would like to knit this as my first cardigan but the pattern you are selling is for the eyelet version. Can you tell me how to modify that pattern to remove the eyelets? Do you just remove yarn overs or is it more complicated than that? Thanks, Karen
This sweater is beautiful...but you don't have enough information. 1 : What size is this sweater 2: how many do you cast on. 3: Approximately how many inches is the neckline 4: where do you start the button holes. Do you knit the button hole plack with the sweater or add it later ( hope not ! ) Great look ...but more information is needed.🤔

I think raglans fit most bodies and I have always preferred them. The cardigan you are wearing is beautiful! Love the pullover too.
This is a excellent tutorial, I hope you are doing more of this video. Would like see you doing top down yoke sweater. Thank you
I am knitting your Celestia cardigan as my first garment and this accompanying video has been so, so helpful! Thank you!
That's so great to hear, thank you.
I loved this, I hope you’ll be doing more 😻
Thank you so much. I will, stay tuned!

Beautiful ❤
Love it !! How can I change the regular sleeves to balloon sleeves?
Omit the sleeve decreases for more volume, then you'll want to decrease at teh start of the cuff for a fitted cuff.
Hi do you have any shawl-collar sweater tutorials?
Thank you for this tutorial! What is the yarn you’re using?
Thank you. It's the "tweedy" from Hedgehog fibers, so lovely. www.labienaimee.com/ has some similar too.
Hello. I don't know if I got a little lost but I didn't know how many stitches to start knitting with, if you could guide me, I appreciate it.
HI, you will need a copy of the pattern to work from, do you have this? If so and you still have questions, please e-mail me at the e-mail address on the pattern.

I do! Let me know if you have any questions along the way. I don't check in here often, so e-mail is best for a fast response :)
@@ambahobrien oh thanks so much for quick reply. Can't wait to start 😍
Ambah, not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I get a '404' when going to Ravelry for this pattern. Link issues maybe?
Thanks for letting me know, I've fixed that up!
Very good tuto... thank you..... Can someone know what brand this lovely yarn is please ?
Sorry for the slow reply! It's Hedgehog Fibers, La Bien Aimee also has a similar yarn
Love it

Yes, that's right - it's the Celestia Cardigan with the eyelets left out.
If I want to round shape neck, how to divide how many sleeve st and back/front side neck st?
All the stitch counts for each size are given in my patterns, if you want to make a round neck version of this pattern you could use the pullover version of the design.

Perfect, that's what I was hoping to get across. Its a really fun way to knit a garment.

That's right, yes you'll ignore the eyelet part of the instructions.
Are you supposed to knit the underarm stitches when doing the body?
Yes, that is how it is shown in the video.
I didn't understand what the gauge is supposed to be, can you please write?
It's in the pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/celestia-cardigan
I’m not able to find the written pattern for this from the links you gave :/
Sorry about that I have fixed the links.
What yarn are you using? It’s lovely!!
Hedgehog Fibers Tweedy - it's so lovely!
