Chelsea poorman is my older sister, thank you for bringing awareness to my sisters case.
Chelsea was the strongest person I knew. No matter what happened in her life - she kept fighting the fight, literally nothing could get in the way of her achieving her goals. she was an incredibly beautiful soul.
My heart aches for my sister i miss her so much, she was my best friend. Its been almost 1 year since the police came to my house to tell me they found her remains. And 2.5 years since she went missing. My life came to a complete halt, it ruined me and my family :/.
    SOMEBODY KNOWS SOMETHING.

Maybe they leave or fail to act but to dump a body in the backyard of an affluent area in an abandoned mansion screams foul play. Likely the perp knew that mansion was unoccupied. You think she and the whole Mile Higher Crew would be a good starting to point to educate themselves and others about the Native- Indigenous- 1st Nation people too? Like, I see you and other minorities always respecting the Work, Kendall and Mile Higher Podcasts would work on a case of minorities from the USA? I wonder if this respectful report is enough if some people from different tribes would be ok with being invited to tell them and us (the audience in America and worldwide) the history of their (and others if you've knowledge of that) tribe from like (pre-)colonization times to the effect the systems in place due to that still have to this day...like obviously I can watch documentraies in English and German, I probably could find some good books that are better than the history books the USA seems to have (allegedly) but overseas it's sometimes hard to know "Where to even start?" Also maybe we could actually go like by the tribes who have still the biggest numbers inside and then go gradually down? I mean if anyone would be down for that including Mile Higher Crew & Cast?
And is it so bad that the word savages made it into Southeast Asian Song that frankly is an Earworm even if the meaning has obvioulsy been lost...to much of a cost? Sincerly asking out of curiositiy because besides
"They took the whole Navajo Nation." "Trail of Tears" and x amount of people say "Hey we're still here and have to suffere from the history way back when...." I wouldn't have a clue because I'm from a whole different continent.

@@anshularyaman108😧 Sure, if u don't wanna count the ppl that are literally force fed the drug(s) & sometimes even forced injections. It's really common for tr@ffickers to snatch up young ppl, get them hooked on hard stuff like h3roin or fent@nyl, so they make them a slave & pimp them out.
Then, there's also some that have been drugged, either accidentally or intentionally, that end up hooked bc it's THAT addictive (the difference here is it's not pimps trafficking them).
And then there's all the ppl like me that have been injured badly (I got hit by a car & had several necessary surgeries in 2005 & 2010) or they have painful medical condition(s)...ppl who only chose to follow Dr's orders. There's a lot of us that were given lots of strong pain meds & wasn't told how addictive & dangerous they could be (back in 2005). Sometimes ppl don't realize until it's too late & they're already addicted. In more recent times, the medical community make sure ppl are more aware of the danger. So thankfully, that doesn't happen as much now.

I live in Canada near this area and when I first started playing this video, I thought to myself “I feel so sorry for Kendall because she’s gonna have to try to pronounce these names that are impossible for somebody outside of this province”. But she got it all right, and that shows you that she cares enough to do the deep research and make sure she’s paying respects to not only the victims but to the communities by speaking naturally and sounding confident. @@erinmcclurg9090 I can answer this as a local. The neighborhood the mansion is located in is one of the wealthiest in the city, and a lot of the homes were bought for investment purposes and stand empty. Add the fact that the lots are larger and more private and on a visual level It's not so surprising. You would think someone would have maybe smelled something but there is honestly no telling if there were any neighbours around in that area, or at least concerned neighbours.

Congrats from a fellow addict. Yes, it’s horrible the way we are treated like a second class degenerate criminal who deserves whatever happens to them/us. Let’s be honest too, most of us were legally prescribed opioids for chronic pain or people (a lot of kids) who are given meth for adhd.
I got addicted after my abusive drunk ex tried punching me and flipped the car on the highway. I was ejected and had been partially scalped, had TBI, skull fracture, brain swelling, chest ripped off and hanging off, liver ripped nearly in half, both lungs collapsed, and severe road rash over half my body. I spent a week in a coma and had spinal problems. I was prescribed opioids on pain management and did everything right. Didn’t matter. Went in and they gave everyone a month of meds and said they weren’t prescribing opioids for chronic pain anymore. Eventually started buying off the street.
The cops don’t care. I’ve seen paramedics narcan addicts because it was “funny “.

I am SO grateful to hear someone talk about addiction like you do. Addiction IS a disease. I have it, I lived it, and so far have survived it. My son saved my life 6 years ago, and if it wasn't for him and my parents getting me the help i needed, I'd be dead or in jail. Thank you for sticking up for us. We aren't bad people.

As a mother and a sister my heart absolutely breaks for this family. Chelsea deserves justice. Her family deserves answers. I pray they get it soon.

Thank you for the comment about addiction! I hate when people say, “you chose to do drugs.” I like many others did not. Some of us were prescribed pain killers for different ailments and got addicted to the feeling. Even if someone did choose to take them, it was just to block the pain. Whether it be mental or physical.

I got a unknown threatening text message once and when I reported it, they took it so seriously and right away 2 police officers showed up where I was to interview me and find out who it was. And then they actually went and told him never to contact me again.
I am a blonde white woman though.
Unfortunately this seems like a case of discrimination. Very sad. :(

Omg thanks for covering this Kendall I’m Canadian and indigenous! This has been happening to our indigenous women/girls for years! Our elders/grandparents tell us the stories and warn us to be careful. It just touches my heart when someone gives us a platform to bring up these issues because it’s mostly the indigenous community who do anything because the authorities don’t care

Kendall I think this is one of your best episodes. I’m Australian and embarrassed by how our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are treated. I felt livid learning about how many women go missing in Canada and how their cases are neglected by law enforcement. It’s 2023 - we should be doing better as a society.

Kendall, thank you so much for covering a Canadian case. Especially this one! As a Canadian, it’s sad to see cases such as these have little to no attention whatsoever. Thank you for what you do 🖤

I know you probably won't even see this comment but I watch you all the time and I just wanted to give you a shout of for defending anyone when it comes to addiction and that you always stand up for people who try to victim blame. This is one of the biggest reasons I watch you. Whenever I am feeling anxious or like I want relapse I'll turn on one of your videos and just zone into it. Thank you for everything you do and bringing awareness to all of these things ❤

Just started the vid but I’m a recovering addict. I have 2.5 years clean at almost 27 years old. Thank you Kendall for reminding people that addiction is a medically proven disease. It’s crazy the stigma that still exists in 2023. It leads to huge barriers to recovery in so many ways because even as an addict I didn’t know it was a disease until after I went to treatment. So I hid it because I saw myself as weak and not normal like why couldn’t I just stop. There’s a lack of detox centers because of this too, who wants to get clean when they’re in the worst physical withdrawals of their life.. I could go on and on
Thank you for advocating for Chelsea

Meg, congratulations on your sobriety. I’m about to celebrate 10 years. I went to work in the recovery field to help even one person. And it drives me nuts people still think it’s a choice. I don’t know who would choose to go through hell and back. But I CHOOSE to think it just shows my strength not weakness. 🎉
