I took the cheek piece off and sanded it smooth on both sides, cut the flairs off the pump handle so they didn't jam my fingers, cut the barrel to 18 1/2". Makes the perfect varmint gun.
As far as a scope on Charles Daly Turkish shotgun I saw a plastic saddle mount that goes over your receiver. look at the top of the gun I don't think any scope mount is shaped like that.
Just brought myself the 18" home defense model. Haven't had a chance to get out and put some shell's though it yet but all the reviews I've seen it seems pretty solid.
Thanks for watching and the compliment! Unfortunately I do not know the answer to your question. Hit up RIA? or Derya? I will ask around to find out myself.
ordered one today partially based on your video, the price, and how it felt in the store. My first shotgun! The price was very reasonable given the times and the competition at this price level.

I just bought this shotgun with the 18.5" barrel. Its my first shotgun besides my old single shot breakaway 410. I love this gun! For the price ots a very decent pump
I just paid for an 18" barrel model of this shotgun today because of this video. I was deciding between this or a Gforce 12ga and this video tipped the balance.
Should be yes, but depends on you if user serviceable? Let me find out more. Have you reached out to RIA to see if they have the longer barrels for sale by self?
I contacted them a few weeks ago and was told that they dont offer the barrels for purchase at this time. They did say possibly in the future at some point.
Your encounter with bad hand placement took me back to my "Great White Hunter" pheasant hunting experience thirty years ago. My wife is with me on a gravel road when I spot half a dozen roosters. I grab my dad's Ithaca 37 from behind the pickup seat. The first one jumps up, I whip around and shoot short, missing the bird. That has two more jump up, and as I rack the slide I pinched my little finger enough to draw blood. From then on I am gun shy, there's so many birds and I miss all of them. At one point my wife says one is following me close enough I could have wacked it with the barrel. From then on she called me "The Great White Hunter".
Are there limitations when shooting steel shot? Choke, shot size, shell length? Asking because most available ammo i see on shelves is 3" steel, and i just learned about steel shot potentially damaging the barrel/chokes.
Do you think this is a better shotgun than Akkar Churchhill? Akkar has pistol grip, better sights. About the same price as RIA. Akkar is made in Turkey.
The Akkar Churchill has rifle type sights and a pistol grip - it's meant more for a home defense/tactical type shotgun. You don't need a pistol grip for an all purpose gun like the RIA AG is meant to be. You really don't use a pistol grip for shooting clays or birds. It actually takes away from aiming down the gun itself - look at 3 gun shooters like Jerry Miculek - he doesn't use a pistol grip on his shotguns. I would personally go for the RIA AG.
@@SlavGuns yeah I'll find something or buy 1 for another shotty and just modify to work thanks I pick mine up tomorrow it's for my daughter she's starting out this year and didn't wanna buy another benelli nova for her yet
would you be willing to ask your shotgun guys what they would think about this shotgun finished in nickel? It has a heat shield on it, if that matters to them.
@@trooper6762 I see there's a new one with the nickel and heat shield. They changed the pump handguard too. It looks like they're putting the nickel version as a defense gun - it only has an 18.5" barrel and the heat shield - so it's like their "marine" version. I'd personally go for the standard version.
Nice video, very very good review. I appreciate the extensive work put in the video. I just ordered one of these and was wanting to see some reviews. Looks like I picked a good gun to buy. Thank you again! 👍👍

why do all range masters look the same? lmao side note, I purchased the 18.5 in version of this shotgun, I literally cannot get the 5th shell and I am using 2 3/4 shells. anyone else having this issue?
I have the same issue with certain shells. I can fit 5x in the tube for some 2 3/4" shells, but only 4x for others. I've only been able to fit 4x in the tube for all 3" shells I've tried.
