I am so addicted to your hotel reviews that we went to one here in Brazil for Christmas. Of course, it was a simple hotel and I knew that. However, when we got to the room I almost called reception to ask them about my welcome amenities like champagne, chocolate and fruit!🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing!
What a stunning hotel! As a Japan traveler, I enjoyed seeing the differences from the AMAN Tokyo hotel. Wish we had a terrace in Tokyo. Thank you very much for sharing your stay with us! Hope you had a lovely trip to NYC.
Maybe the most awesome hotel ever see in your chanel: spectacular place, breathtaking landscape views with the all historical NYC architectural styles. A peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. Thanks for share with us this video.
This motel is sophisticated yet understated at the same time. It pays true homage to the brand even though it is situated in New York. Love your videos and commentary.
I am so happy that you start your journey in America, from business city, to remote Utah, and looking for different side of America! Love your videos as always.
I think it is very modern & beautiful! I’ve been to New York City many times and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more staying at this hotel lol! Great video, thank you for sharing it. 😊
I passed by the road next to Amanera, I loved how the hotel didn’t have a crazy entrance and matter fact I didn’t say nothing, it’s one of those things that if you know, you know, also huge complex. Edit also like the format of the videos cause I always show my gf the videos and translate the captions/subtitles.
This is the best hotel in NYC by a very wide margin. Just stayed here for a few nights and can confirm there is nothing like this in any major city in North America, not even close. This is in its own league.
I love the aesthetic of the bathroom. The room doesn’t have much of a view, but that’s not a dealbreaker. Very interesting artwork in the halls, a zen vibe all around. I really like it! And may I say, thank you for blurring faces. I find it very disrespectful when other vloggers don’t respect the privacy of workers or other guests and just show their faces all over.
I have seen other travel videos. In the room they go through all the drawers and closets. They show all the amenities. Also inside the fridges. Etc. Lovely. I wish I could stay there.
I don't know, Dr. LTE--the Aman NY left me feeling a bit cold, despite the gazillion gas fireplaces. Your suite was nice but the decor felt sterile. Perhaps it's the location--I love the Amans that are in unusual out-of-the-way settings. I can't wait to see the Amangiri in Utah. Thanks for the tour, Dr. LTE--the next time I'm in NYC I'll definitely stop by the Aman New York for a drink and see if it makes a difference seeing it in person!
One of the many components that I have always LOVED about your films was how your text commentary was so graceful, aesthetic, and it didn't intrude. You have a very good handle on what fits and doesn't fit into a space visually and audibly, so much so, that even a supposedly minor change like this one makes the text insufferable to read, but hey, maybe that's just me. I never use closed captioning unless only out of sheer necessity because visually and aesthetically, it demands effort and it intrudes by design. I can certainly see the obvious reason behind the change, that way viewers have the option to watch with or without commentary all together and I understand it can be time consuming for you to edit, so like with anything, there's always a trade off. Anyways, I have been eager to see you visit this property! I have a trip to New York coming up later this year and I was considering whether to add the new Aman property on my itinerary. I was hoping that those images I saw online of the vanishing edge pool were not CGI🤣 but it doesn't make any difference in what a splendid place this is! Like Aman junkies, I guess I'm a Dr. LTE junkie! lol!😂Fantastic work nonetheless! 🙌
I am using the new subtitle TH-cam format, because many followers found the original subtitles too small and also because the new subtitles allow people to watch the video in their own language :-)

Dear Friend, You do things I can only dream about. Ever since finding your lovely videos I am in love. I can't stop watching. So throughly entertaining. I have given up regular television completely. I am a seventy year (young) lady from Hixson,TN. That is near Chattanooga Tennessee. I call you friend because I have been watching so many of your amazing travels, you have made me feel as if you are traveling with only me. Thank you for bringing me into your world. Everything you do is such a SPLENDED WORK of ART!! Please continue your travels, and I hope I am your best traveling companion. ❤ (In my mind I am) Actually I think I have fallen in love. Safe and Blessed travels!! Sincerely, Charlotte McDaniel 🥰💕👍👍 🛫
I can't believe they have a reverse hyper machine in the gym. That's one great, rare item... 😂 Wonder who equipped that gym, but that person clearly deserves a raise.
Gorgeous property for sure! And the jazz club is a awesome addition! Still, with all the good food to be found in NYC (esp mom&pop places), I just could not ever justify those food prices. (granted hotel food is always a bit pricey but $32 for eggs benny??)
I loved Jean-Michel Gathy work so much, but this is Crown Building and in New York, I personally was expecting more of a luxe art deco that fits locally just like Aman have always done. Aman were from Asia but this feels just too Japanese :( Anyway, I love your video and can not wait to see the legendary Amangiri!! are you gonna show us Camp Sarika too?
This sure beats the little dive I stayed in back in October 23 - no disrespect to them, but that place needed about a million in renovations done. This place is perfection.
I like Aman in Jackson hole Wyoming, there is true beauty … this one in NY is ok … rooms are small and view on the wall looks like dead end … All Those narrow dark corridors …I prefer more open space and I know is hard to get it in NY … maybe Central Park area only is worth staying /living …
Very stylish and luxurious in a Japanese way, love the Crown Building, and I’m sure excellent on service. However, I would still opt for the Carlyle or the Pierre for more of a New York feel.
I am surprised Bulgari did not take this space for a hotel because they have outposts around the world, but not in NYC. With their flagship store on the ground floor, it seems natural their hotel would be there, as well.
AMEN!! ❤ FOR THE AMAN HOTEL😊 BEAUTIFUL HISTORICAL 1ST ARTS BUILDING CONSTRUCTED IN 1921 IN MANHATTAN! ❤ EXTERIOR THE GOLD 🪙 ACCENT! INTERIOR REMINDS ME OF A MUSEUM OF SCULPTURE CLAY WITH A POP OF BURNT ORANGE COLOR! ❤ INSIDE POOL & FIREPLACE IN ROOM! AS I SIT BY THE WINDOW ENJOYING THE VIEW 😊 JAZZ CLUB ❤ AHHHH YES PLEASE!! NEW YORK NEW YORK 😊
Truly fantastic. I am a big fan of your work. I do have a question about this particular one. It doesn’t seem like there are really any guests here; where was everybody? It’s weird because these places are so extravagant but with no guests how do they even keep their head above water?
Stunning! But unless I’m set on staying on Midtown East, I’d rather stay at the MO and spend the difference at Masa. Purely hypothetical though. Keep up the great work!
As per usual, amazing video! Will you also be visiting Amangani? Or just Amangiri to conclude your US tour? Can't wait to see Amangiri! How does Aman New York stack up against other city hotels you've stayed at?
I’ve been waiting for you to go stay there for like 2 years 😅. I love the decor, this hotel looks like it’s meant to be enjoyed in fall or winter time. Can you move the bathroom partitions around?
Oh, dang ... I was hoping for the Continental! 😊 Handsome and masculine. Too much use of screen dividers for me. Your room was more attractive at night I thought ... I feel it was designed mostly for the mahogany row business traveler, yes? Funny little story about my trip to Gotham city. I went to the hotel window to look out at the street below. Across the street, another female had the same idea, only she was completely nude! Then I looked down at the busy street and there on the corner was a fellow with his llama fully decked out in its South American costume 😊!! I thought, ' welcome to New York ... I guess!! '😅 Dear LTE, what makes a piece of art a masterpiece, anyway?? Who deems it so? Thank you for the nice tour. Your video was very nice!
This feels more like a hotel designed for staycations for stressed out New Yorkers. Those who don't have the time to take long flights overseas to an actual AMAN resort can come here for a couple of days of relaxation.
Good, but boring design for an AMAN. But at its new lower prices I see it as a very good alternative to getting an entry level suite at other hotels in NYC.
This made me cry. After living in NYC for 10+ years from the South this video showed me how beautiful NYC could truly be if the different cultures really came together instead of acting tribal and like crabs in a barrel. There are honestly very few select areas that are amazing. Unfortunately the rest of NYC is so heartbreaking how awful people are treated and live just to get up and do it all over again.
I would not say anything about insane Aman NY room rates, but it is the very time for the industry to put an end to misleading practice of naming one-bedroom minuscule cages the suites, it is not even standing close to junior suite))))
I don’t know Aman properties are usually incredible in their ability to adapt and express their native environment. This property seems not just to clash with NYC but also just come off as somewhat bland and underwhelming. I know they rushed to get in on the pandemic 5k a night crowd but frankly there are so many better options for that money. The baccarat, St Regis to make a few plus you can just rent a nice house in the upper east side for their suite prices. Beyond that the “pagoda in the city” design style scales poorly to a full size building. That vibe works well in a brownstone backyard but not for 30 stories. Not to mention that cramped entry I’m sure they’d describe as “privacy” focused. If you want privacy take notes from the Lanesborough London, a private car pull up and a small private door with a doorman. That is how you do discretion. It just comes off as a cynical and poorly designed attempted at minimalism rather than a great NyC hotel.
lol. a slice of bread with an avocado spreaded over with a spoon, 25 USD... I also want to earn 20 USD just by one time spreading something with a spoon.
Thank you for a very thorough tour. I find this place is yeech visually however: plain, geometric, stark, inhuman, with either cold, clinical grey colors or muddy browns. Give me a historic hotel with rich wood, hand-made and carved details and lots of interesting history. This place reminds me of a surgery center or a slaughterhouse. I am sure some people will adore it and be willing to pay lots of $$ for nothingness.. Yawn.
I was waiting for this video so much. I gave it a like before even seeing it. Nobody shows luxury hotels in such detail like you, nobody.
Thank you 😊
Agreed and did a like after reading your comment in the beginning of the video😊
Amazing review, as always... 😉

The hotel is so atmospheric and the views are breathtaking. Real luxury right here. Loved the tour.
Every single element here exudes elegance and opulence. Classy. I love it.

The wraparound terrace is stunningly beautiful. What a CHIC AND ELEGANT HOTEL

Glad to see this type if luxury in the US. Great team work Aman NYC!!!
I am so happy that you start your journey in America, from business city, to remote Utah, and looking for different side of America! Love your videos as always.
every Aman gives a very quiet and zen atmophere
That hotel looks so stunningly incredible and luxurious. Just like a million dollar hotel with world class restaurants and spa too. 😊
I truly enjoyed this one. Especially when the bartender's shaker came into the grove with the Jazzband. lol -
The soundtrack you chose was a beautiful accompaniment and accented the ambience perfectly. I truly enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hard to beat a beautiful hotel with sushi & jazz.
I think it is very modern & beautiful! I’ve been to New York City many times and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more staying at this hotel lol! Great video, thank you for sharing it. 😊
Absolutely stunning
Elegant, classy yet subdued. Beautiful hotel.
Beautiful property. Ilove the recording pace and soundtrack. So calming.
One of the top hotel brands in one of the top cities in the world. What else can you ask for?!
I don’t usually like big city hotels, but this was very warm, rich and sensual with a beautiful color palette.

100% agree. nothing about the design says "new york" nor represents the beautiful art deco building it is housed in. a missed opportunity tbh
beautiful hotel❤

muy bien esta hotel en el newyourk❤❤
I was going to say the hotel gave off The Chedi Andermatt vibes and then you said Gathy did the interiors! 😊
The Andermatt is stunning
What a tour. Thank you.
Opulence.
Have you toured the Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur CA?
Yes 😉
The Lowell Hotel has fireplaces in many rooms and suites. Btw. nice video as always. Thank you!!
certainly NOT MINIMALIST, but the neutral gunmetal grey color palette certainly creates the minimalist vibe

Brilliant video. I also need help badly
I wonder why made you change the beautiful captions that were previously ingrained in the videos themselves.
Very stylish, but a little dark for my taste. A bathroom in this style provides neither sound insulation nor light insulation at night.
Hello, when will you upload the Amangiri review? I've been patiently waiting, LOL
In two weeks 😉
I thought I ate a lot for breakfast. Good effort! 😁
nice

It seems devoid of life.
