No matter if it was useable or not it’s still all wins because it’s out of the water. After some time all that plastic would break down to tiny pieces that the fish and other sea life would end up eating and then one day the fish get caught and get eaten by us. You can restore each one and upsell it…but the restoring will eat into profits a lot. Selling broken electronics…idk how much people actually pay for that…unless if your selling to an electronic engineers who reuse broken electronics…I don’t think you’ll make much profits if any at all.

I think the owner would be glad enough to get the actual watch back without worrying about a strap. Remember without this guy they wouldnt have got it back anyway, i think a strap is a fair compensation, wouldnt you?
You can put all the ID's in a mail box and they will take it to the owners.
