That awkward moment when a lot of people are commenting how it all belongs to Pepsi, but really it belongs to the building owners. Why? Because the old owners bought the machine, the soda, and the services to restock. You all think Pepsi has the time to go to every machine every night to empty out the cash? The owners who bought the machine do that and since the old owners didnt do that when they sold the building to these guys, these guys got the machine and the money. The only thing Pepsi owns is the copyright brand and the right to restock if the new owners buy their restock services. It's like all of you for some fucked up reason think buying a Samsung refrigerator and putting food inside of it, now apparently belongs to Samsung themselves...

You are right the machine does not belong to Pepsi it belongs to Algonquin leasing inc as stated on the asset tag at the top. I guess if that is the company who owns the building then its theirs but if thats the vending company who fills the machine then this is stealing. Should probably have checked that before you drilled the lock out.
@@jasonwright4484 not really any information on the company or the phone number, the person who was leasing it "and profit sharing with owner" probably told whoever he was leasing it from and they dropped the ball and left it there.
Hard to say who actually owns it i know when we sell machines at the company i work for we remove all of our tags and markings. Like i said that could be the buildings asset tag no way of knowing. Would have been nice of them to find out for sure who owns it before drilling into it.
Rabbit chill people don’t understand that you can buy a soda machine, pay an establishment “rent” and sell soda or other drinks. And make a bit of money.

A tip for drilling those hardened locks for next time. Bring a propane torch and heat that hardened lock up. It'll soften it and make it easier to drill through.
or just use center drills 10x faster on harden steel

Sharpen the bits..... you've obviously never tried drilling through hardened lock or tool steel before with simple tooling.
Why work harder, when you can work smarter by changing the molecular structure of the steel and soften it? Then again what do I know about metal, I've only been working with it for 2 decades.

As an ex pro soda machine robber you need a longer screw. Preferably a grade 8 self tapper. They made the pins harder to break in new ones. I woulda had that machine opened and empty in 25 seconds.

couple sujestions, use colbalt bits, and do not turn fast low rpm with rapid tap cutting oil, and or good square style easy outs with utting oil. some milling tools are best

In not really proud but when I was really young i would hit all the payphones in my area and fill the change slot with paper towel. Then in a week I would go and use a piece of coat hanger to fish out the paper towel and all the change would drop out. It was never a whole lot but it made me smile. Being young and dumb :) I only did it a few times though

yes the machine was on and no it’s not dangerous, even though they drilled the lock they were never going to hit any electrical wires or anything.

I don’t understand why it wasn’t emptied considering the Mountain Dew was expired in 2017 and the Pepsi had well over a year difference which means someone restocked it and left expired soda but didn’t empty it 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
It was only about 5 or 6 months difference, but the restockers usually don't take old sodas out of the the machines, they just add new ones.

did you notice that it said abandoned and it's clean new bills that aren't crumbled or anything and then quarters aren't even rusted?
It’s because they haven’t been touched and it is in the machinw
x_Raider_x1 but the money had to have been put in by people and not every one has clean new bills on them
Also take into consideration that the machines are finicky about accepting worn bills, so more often than not people are going to use their crispier bills for the machine to avoid potential problems.
