    I’ve had that same problem with my isx15 it went on for a long time spent thousands of dollars took it to a different mechanic and he changed out the ignition switch. Been good ever since.

    This is one of those next level finds that takes quite a mind. I have never seen this, I’ve had an accelerator pin jump in and out,and created a short in the ecm, And a power short inside another ecm that would log faults for lost power with key on. Hats off to this one!.. I sent you a link a couple times in the comments, but for some reason they were taken down. It was a 2 min clip of a faulty ecm problem I found. TH-cam may have stopped it from going to you. Thanks for the video.

      Email me the link @ faultcodehelp@gmail.com and thanks. I think YT does that for safety. I would love to see what you found.

    Awesome, awesome content. Thank you so much for passing your experiences on to us. Very much appreciated. I have two 2013 Cascadias with ISX 12’s doing something similar to this. Will be checking the plugs/pins. 👍🏻 👍🏻

      I am working on videos for may now and we just got our engine builder clocks cleaned. We were stumped and even had cummins tech helping us.
      We eventually did figure it all out. It was a comedy of technical errors as it were. Stay tuned as engine shop Joe takes a mental beating LOL

    Hey man I just wanted to personally thank you for the in depth content on these engines. I am a diesel mechanic about a year and a half in and I never attended college. This channel is a great reference for learning.

      Great I'm glad. I put this channel up to pass on what i learned over a life time. It is for the techs like you and the owner operators so they can help themselves as much as possible. Everything is so expensive today so if they can handle a problem with just buying the parts and having the know how that is a great thing

      This fault happens when the system is having an issue making the requested fuel pressure. But it can get close to the commanded.
      I would check and make sure no air is getting in the fuel and check your fuel restriction. Make sure you don't have a crimped line or if you have the aeroquip or strataflex check the ends for flaps. I used to shove a number 2 wooden pencil in the hose and if it did not to in to the eraser the hose
      had a swelling in it. I would then change it. This is not true for the hard plastic lines. Most of the time changing fuel filters fixes this fault so I think it might be fuel restriction. Check that first with a gauge. You cannot check it any other way but with a gauge. You need to check it right after the primary or frame filter and it really needs to be under 8 inches. most new filters run around 3-5 inhg. If that looks good you need to do the flow checks to see where the high pressure side is having trouble containing the pressure.

    There was no faults for ignition lost?

    • @ENGINESHOPJOE
      @ENGINESHOPJOE  ปีที่แล้ว

      No because lost ign is assumed key off by the ecm and that is a normal event
