The stained chair rail looks better. I’m a realtor in Hawaii and you won’t believe how many housewives in million dollar neighborhoods have modern farmhouse diy’s in their homes. So since I spend lots of hours in them I have an eye for this style. 🙌🏼 You nailed it!!!!
Been thinking. When you build the deck could you add a small locked shed at the far end? It could store the extra freezer, the Christmas boxes from your bathroom and extra cleaning supplies from your wardrobe. Loving the new dining room.💜
@@lindamaskus5142 we live up north and my grandparents gave their freezer in the open on the back porch works just fine. Been there since I was a kid and I’m 30. Our freezer is in a building that isn’t insulated and it as well is just fine 😊
I question myself big time when it comes to decorating. I get a idea and why I do it others are usually telling me that I don’t know what I am doing. Every time I have done something I love it! Go with your gut! The room looks beautiful. You definitely have a beautiful style.

A painting tip…paint your seams first with a paint brush, let it dry, then & only then paint the entire wall. Your seems will fill in even more. No more going back multiple times. This has to be my favorite makeover you've ever done- you were totally right on!! That area looks twice as big now..I love the black and white...and those pantry shelves were genius. You again showed us all how a smaller budget can get a high end look. You guys make me laugh so hard, Shane is just a hoot lol. You knocked it out of the park on that door, Shane. Your skills have been amazing on what you set your mind to. Think how proud your kids are of both of you for making their home soooo nice and working so hard at it. Again..great job...and the accent decor is perfect. Merina..may I suggest you get 2 pretty iron handles at hobby lobby and make that board on your table into a tray. I did one and it turned out so cute. I put some little wood knobs under for feet.
LOVE this transformation! Keep the wood stained chair rail; its beautiful! In the future, if you want to remove water stains from wooden furniture, take a thin towel and place it over the water stain and then get an iron and turn it on and place over towel for a min or two, check stained area, repeat if needed. Both you and Shane could really make a business out of this with updating other mobile homes on a budget. Great job to both of you.

Absolutely love the stained wood with the black paint! Shane did an amazing job on converting that door into a barn door. I've been wanting to sand down my dining room table, but I'm worried the same thing will happen. I think the water stains go down into the wood.
Suggestion: If you ever want to preserve your wood table top but don't like tablecloths, put clear vinyl sold at Walmart by yards. That way it serves as protection to your gorgeous wood yet show it off as well. I have that on my cherry wood table, I change it every 6 months and my table is still in immaculate condition and I have 2 boys who are rough as they come, lol!

I was not worried at all about the black on the walls. Good for you that you went with the vision no one else could see, you nailed it girl. I’ve been following you for a year and I emailed you twice with nothing from you. I won’t give up. I’m a lot older than you but I understand you. The only thing that worried me was the table top becoming white but it ties in. I’m disabled so it has taken me three months to paint all the door black in and out and the trim and the bathroom vanity’s. I had someone paint my kitchen cabinets black and all the black looks awesome. Everyone loves it. It’s not cookie cutter like you. You draw me in because you are so good, and you love your hubby and kids to the moon and back. You did good!

I love the wood chair rail. It brings a richer look to the room. Adding the wood to the shelves added so much warmth to that area. The room is more defined. Y’all did such a good job. The room is beautiful.👍🏻

I had leftover supplies from building our porch and some paint I needed to use up and I love it lol. Your pantry looks so much better too, even though it was beautiful before!!

This has to be my favorite makeover you've ever done- you were totally right on!! That area looks twice as big now..I love the black and white...and those pantry shelves were genius. You again showed us all how a smaller budget can get a high end look. You guys make me laugh so hard, Shane is just a hoot lol. You knocked it out of the park on that door, Shane. Your skills have been amazing on what you set your mind to. Think how proud your kids are of both of you for making their home soooo nice and working so hard at it. Again..great job...and the accent decor is perfect. Merina..may I suggest you get 2 pretty iron handles at hobby lobby and make that board on your table into a tray. I did one and it turned out so cute. I put some little wood knobs under for feet.

In the future, if you want to remove water stains from wooden furniture, take a thin towel and place it over the water stain and then get an iron and turn it on and place over towel for a min or two, check stained area, repeat if needed.
Both you and Shane could really make a business out of this with updating other mobile homes on a budget. Great job to both of you.

Wow!! Y’all do it right every time!! It is beautiful and I love the stained chair railing against the black. Very pretty! It would be cute to add some little feet to make your wooden accent tray on the table a riser if that makes sense. Love it all!! And it makes the room look twice as big. I’ll have to admit I was scared when you started with the black paint but I should have known better 😂 you are amazing!!

Absolutely love the stained wood with the black paint! Shane did an amazing job on converting that door into a barn door. I've been wanting to sand down my dining room table, but I'm worried the same thing will happen. I think the water stains go down into the wood.
My water stains were DEEP! And the more I sanded it the more it spread! 😭
Suggestion: If you ever want to preserve your wood table top but don't like tablecloths, put clear vinyl sold at Walmart by yards. That way it serves as protection to your gorgeous wood yet show it off as well. I have that on my cherry wood table, I change it every 6 months and my table is still in immaculate condition and I have 2 boys who are rough as they come, lol!

I was not worried at all about the black on the walls. Good for you that you went with the vision no one else could see, you nailed it girl. I’ve been following you for a year and I emailed you twice with nothing from you. I won’t give up. I’m a lot older than you but I understand you. The only thing that worried me was the table top becoming white but it ties in. I’m disabled so it has taken me three months to paint all the door black in and out and the trim and the bathroom vanity’s. I had someone paint my kitchen cabinets black and all the black looks awesome. Everyone loves it. It’s not cookie cutter like you. You draw me in because you are so good, and you love your hubby and kids to the moon and back. You did good!
