- Today I'm excited to unbox and review this new added piece to my collection!
This is probably the most accurate copy of the original bust Sideshow Collectibles released quite a few years ago! I think it's 98% accurate....but check out the video and comment your opinion!

My version , bought over 10 years ago has the sound chip which l believe is a sample from T1 the scene where the Terminator is presumed destroyed but rises as the Endoskeleton from a pile of burning debris and drags a broken foot along towards Sarah.
The eyes also gradually light up and dim when powered down

@roboeclipse Sideshow, there was another company who produced the original version which came in a square perspex display box , can't recall it's name .
Mine came in 2 versions fully chromed or battle scared.
I have the fully chromed version limited run
@@samzerafa3185 Mine is weird. It is sort of in the middle of the clean version and the battle scared one. The camera doesn't pick up on it well. You have to actually see it to see what I'm talking about LOL

I had the Iron Man Mk3 bust clone. Totally worth it, and when sold I didn’t lose a dime because it was such a good value.
you should post another video of this, without a shakey camera and lots more light, it would be incredibly helpful for those on the fence (please do it lol )
To begin with, I LOVE the simplistic box this pirate Endo Skull has come in
The fancy...printed varnished colour boxes can look too over the top to my eye and look excessive , I like the basicness of this bleached out image packaging.
You don't say much about the quality, I mean is it heavy? are there any air bubbles, etc? the resin quality,
the angle that youve filmed from gives the impression that the jaw tapers a lot.
I have the heavy Hollywood collectables Endo Skull (which pre-dates the Winston Studios one) my version, I suspect, is...3-5 percent bigger than the one seen in the film, BUT I,m happy with it (& I got it for £350 pound sterling), the eyes light up, it plays sound track music when a button on the base is pressed, BUT it doesnt have the access disc with chip in the cranium, not that I'm fussed, compared to the prices these go for now, it seems I got mine at a bargain price, b

Your right I did fail to mention the quality of the piece. Thanks for pointing that out. In my opinion, the quality is top notch! The paint is also well done with no air bubbles or any kind of noticeable imperfections. The Endo Skull has a good weight to it. It's a combination of resin and metal parts. For example the neck struts are metal and the hoses on the skull are actually steel braided hoses. I would love to add the one you have to my collection as well! My hunt for that one continues LOL! thanks for watching!

Is the lights in the eyes powered by batteries? If so, I have an idea for you. Buy an AC to DC converter. What this does is allow the unit to being plugged into a 110v wall outlet and then the convertor converts the 110V AC into DC where you adjust it to the desired output in voltage DC. There's plenty of videos on this to demonstrate how this is done. I would do that and have it set on a timer so the eye lights would come on and off automatically as set to timer. Would be cool. Wouldn't ever need to replace batteries ever again.

Japan doesn't really produce knockoffs their quality is too good they more produce (different) versions that are usually just as good, sometimes superior your purchase is a case in point! I think yours is badass and if I can't get the plaque for a savings of $800 I'de be fine with that as well!

It looks good to me. Google image search the Sideshow version. I think they look very similar. At the end of the video, I put a comparison picture up between the Sideshow, the one I have. and the AliExpress version. Thanks for watching!

Update: yes I've compared, and you're right. The way you remember things is funny sometimes. Yeah I thought the T800 had a more square profile jawline, as Stan Winston's team actually sculpted the endoskull using a lifecast of Arnold as a basis, basically so the skull fitted into Arnold's head shape (referenced in The Winston Effect book, which I own, plus just watched The Terminator) I guess Arnie does have a more pointed jawline. It's a nice piece you have there, and as a copy, it's very good. I'm glad you got the one with better teeth. I'm going to try and get one for myself. If I get the "bad teeth" version, I have a contingency plan.......my cousin is actually a dentist! I'm sure he could sort something out
That's not a bust; it's a head and a neck. A bust has the chest (bust) section.

Curious, why is the sideshow so great ? There are others that are also licensed. The M-1 vinyl kit is life sized, licensed and molded from the original. It's really nice, I have one. Painting it chrome is a consideration though. The best in my opinion is larger than life sized and opens up to play dvds and cds. It's a prize for a Korean beer company promo. Why best ? It's big, very good likeness and it plays dvds ! Or it could...user interface is Japanese or Korean. But its just really cool. There is also a really nice t-600 skull from a box set of one of the movies that is actually really cool too. You paid more than I did for 2 of the DVD player ones. I collect mostly the endoskeleton model kits. Nice skll though.
I would like to add the DVD skull to my collection as well. I'm not sure what those are made of. But the Sideshow version is made out of poly resin with some metal parts. Which mine is made of as well. In my opinion, the reason the Sideshow version is popular is because it's a sought after piece among collectors. Thanks for watching!
@roboeclipse the player is plastic. Like chrome plated model kit, or the micro machines playset. The player is mostly cool because it's larger than life and overall well made. As a DVD player is kinda useless. No HD. I did get lucky on one with no remote, cords or manual, so it was cheaper. Anyway good review.
