    May 2021 UPDATE: They added Onemesh support to the AX10
    Also, IMPORTANT UPDATE: I thought that you can extend Wi Fi range of these routers using Onemesh if you have two routers that support Onemesh BUT YOU CANNOT CREATE A MESH NETWORK WITH TWO ONEMESH SUPPORTING ROUTERS. I really thought that it worked like Asus Ai Mesh, but you can only create a Onemesh network with a ROUTER combined with a RANGE EXTENDER. Not a problem for peeps who weren't looking to use these routers as extenders, but a big shortcoming for those who need it.

    Great video! I am looking at using two of these as access points.
    I have a network setup using 1x Apple Airport Extreme with 2x wired Apple Airport Express stations as Access Points.
    My internet speed is around 400mbps but the Airport Express stations only have 10/100 WAN port so speed is capped at around 90-100Mbps when connected to those.
    Do you think these would be suitable to replace the two Airport Express stations and still connect to the airport extreme via ethernet?

    • @TechReflex
      @TechReflex  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can't even use it with onemesh to extend network unless you use a onemesh range extender by tp link. It's very limited when it comes to extending functionality.

    • @MustafaAhad
      @MustafaAhad 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechReflex Thanks for getting back. What I meant to say was use it as an Access Point by connecting to one of the LAN port of the main router and disabling the DHCP. I'm buying two and will let you know if it works with the AX10.

    The lack of the Repeater mode is such a deal-breaker for me. Just having the feature means that the router won't be useless once I buy another in the future.
    I hope TP-Link adds the mesh feature soon.
    With most of the ISPs providing routers, albeit shitty ones, separate routers need to give a good value proposition for us to spend that extra money.
    That said, I like what TP-Link is doing with their routers but I wish the costlier ones (for example, Asus) were a bit cheaper.
    Great job on the review btw!

    HI, What would you recommend between these 2 routers - D-Link DIR-X1560 and TP-Link Archer AX10. Saw your review on DIR 2150, you mentioned it got good signal strength across the walls. Is DIR-X1560 any good in similar way or should stick with Archer AX10.
    PS.: Wanted to try Wifi 6, or would have gone with DIR 2150

    • @TechReflex
      @TechReflex  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I haven't checked out the 1560 so I am not sure how that performs, I am not sure if it's a 4 x 4 MU MIMO router (the AX 10 is 2 x 2). I think you should be fine with any of these routers actually, the differences are there but after 300 mbps across a distance, if you want to try wifi 6 you can go with AX10 (even though I am not sure how 1560 compares to it). The DIR 2150 should also actually be fine, wifi 6 features need wifi 6 clients to benefit, and while there are important features, I've never felt a non wifi 6 router to be a limitation.

    What are the Internet speeds on a wifi5 device? Or it's better to get a expensive wifi5 router?

    • @TechReflex
      @TechReflex  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      100-200 mbps lower on wifi 5. Expensive wifi 5 router may perform better over longer distance as this is an entry level wifi 6 router. 2 x 2, or 4 x 4 MU MIMO matteres

      place the router in the distance of those 50 meters so 25 so both sides would get optimised speeds

    I need some help man, i bought this router AX1500 2 days ago, and it delivers exactly half of my ISP speed and i dont know what the hell is wrong with that router, QoS is disabled, parental control is off, i tried on gigabit LAN, tried updating firmware to no avail. I even connected the WAN connection to my old router and even directly to pc and speed was fine in both cases, the internet slows down as soon as i connect this router. Any fixes? any kind of help will be appreciated. (i also test in bridge mode with other router it doesnt do the same thing in bridge mode though).
