    I have recently moved from the palm (feels slow to respond) to 1-3-1 which feels more robust right now. However, since I have a kinda bigger mouse, it makes my pinky feel a bit torn out after hours of playing since it has to constantly aid the mouse movement.

    • @lifted1785
      @lifted1785 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same situation for me, about to run some ranked using 1-3-1 for the first competitive trial. You might wanna try a medium or smaller mouse, i got a medium size and pinky fatigue hasnt been an issue after long periods in DM and Aimlab. I do agree as well with the 1-3-1 grip providing a more fuller feeling leading to more control imo.

    I think you guys messed up the width of hand measurement reference in @ 2:57. No way anyone has a 19cm wide hand unless they are spreading out their fingers. Even the announcer says 9cm. Would update the graphic and repost.

    • @esdeath2620
      @esdeath2620 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      19cm is correct. 9cm length would be a baby hand or only the palm without fingers. My own hand is 19cm in length and I have medium to small hands.

    I'm currently using the fingertip grip style as I play osu where being able to move your mouse freely up and down, left and right is needed. Claw is too uncomfortable for me and using palm just stresses my arm.

  • @yochillz69
    @yochillz69 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've been using palm grip but then changed to fingetip grip cause I felt like I was gripping my mouse to hard. It made my mouse (g502 hero) feel so much lighter, but apparently ive been playing the 1-3-1 mouse grip🤷‍♂️. So I'll try the claw grip since it fits my playstyle the most

  • @diclonius7
    @diclonius7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I'm a palm grip user, and decided to try fingertip. So I used it for a month and a half, not only was it much more taxing for my hand muscles, I found that in actual games, I didn't even use my fingers for micro-adjustments anyways, nor did I use my wrist much. Not to mention that playing with fingertip grip literally made my ability to control and aim my mouse non-existent. I was so bad that everyone was blaming, flaming, and being toxic to me in ranked games.
    It makes sense since I've spent a lifetime using palm grip, and I'm sure using fingertip is more advantageous long term, but I'm 33, and my reaction time's already pretty bad. It's not worth it for me to spend maybe a year trying to develop fingertip grip, when I already have so many disadvantages and am pretty sure I don't care about going hard in any fps game.

    I use the viper mini and have medium hands, i had a very heavy mouse and big mouse so i was used to palm grip.
    I tried the 1-3-1 grip, holy shit... Soooo good, comfortable, solid tracking and flicking, no tired fingers (i guess with heavy mouse it would tire the pinky).

    • @XxViperMortalxX
      @XxViperMortalxX 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@onesai5555 i was trying out bunch of diferent grip styles and i can say that the best for acuracy is fingertip once u get used to it its just insane, buuut the most comfortable is 1-3-1 since i always used palm grip but viper is quite small it makes my hand fit better.
      I just dont use fingertip cuz its too uncomfortable, but its the best no doubts.
      To improve ur aim use aimlab this will make u 10000x better, just try to train what u lack, for example i had nice reflex, flicks, and precision yet i was playing bad, then trained cognition and got much better (because thats what I needed)

    I baught a budget local gaming mouse from a local brand, and while its pretty good value, ergo wise it's a bit off. It's bit large and heavy too. I tend to palm grip, but the flatter design leaves a bit room between palm and mouse surface.
    So, after trial and error I have developed this grip, I use thumb and pinky to lift the mouse's front a little bit. This allows me to glide the mouse for course adjustments. And for microadjustments, use fingertips. The position of fingers results in my hand to be in diagonal position to the mouse surface but allows palm to rest.

    Those grips are entirely wrong btw.
    Palm is whole palm and hand flat on the mouse. Claw is the back of your palm touching the mouse and then the fingers being the other contact point. Fingertip grip is either relaxed like a palm grip but with zero palm contact and only contact with the "fingertips" or clawed fingertip which is just finger only contact with more arched fingers.
    Also scream doesnt use claw he has zero palm contact. He uses a clawed fingertip grip
