Just finished doing brakes for the first time. Feel so accomplished! Your video was super helpful
Great job my man!! I'm so happy to hear you CRUSHED it and I'm so happy I was able to help! respect 💪🏼
This is a good tutorial. Couple of notes, first highly recommend taking the cap off your brake reservoir. By compressing pistons you are pushing fluid back into the reservoir. If your fluid is topped off near the max fill line it will overflow into your engine bay and leave a mess. Best to remove a little with a turkey baster or other means if so. I found out the hard way. You may need to refill it a bit after. Second, be sure to push the brakes a few times (not to the floor) maybe 60/70% after the job is complete or you will not have working brakes until the piston is engaged. Third follow a brake bedding break in process, usually 5-6 stops of 40 mph to 15mph without completely stopping will do it.
After putting back the tires, push the brake pedal a few times slowly to get your brake caliper piston back in good position before driving the car, other wise you may go to brake and the brake pedal goes to the floor and you won’t have working brakes. Also check the brake fluid level, and replace the brake fluid if the fluid is black or dirty. Otherwise great video. Especially the niece at the beginning.
Great video! I really appreciate the extra time you take to get the little things that aren't necessary but should be done.
Thanks man! I try my best to give all the camera angles! Appreciate the love
Going to give this a shot hopefully next weekend. This video is very helpful. First time trying to do my own brakes, hope it goes smooth
How did it go?? Doing mine this weekend, got all my equipment in the mail, wish me luck lol
@@slumsfinest It was pretty solid, I think I may need to replace the caliper next time. Overall it was pretty fun, Good luck!
Love the TL videos! Got the same car and ready to save cash and do this myself

Rammi back and at it again!!
Yessir! Expect more to come
this video is really helpful! you the man RQ!
You know I try to help! You da man, man!
that camera angle was godly
Only one small recommendation, the screw on the rotor uses an impact screwdriver (harbor freight brand works just fine, its under 20$). A regular drill bit can damage the screw, as its not meant for that purpose
Great advice! Thanks for sharing 🫱🏽🫲🏾
Thanks for sharing , i use an old brake pad with the c-clamp to push the piston back into its bore ,
Definitely needed this knowledge during staff ‘15. Route 30 killed my brakes
Man those roads do a beating on the braking system! Educate & save that 💰💰
Hey guys.what are the OEM rotors for the automatic 3.2?Duramax Gold pads?
Biggest difference between front and rear?
$500 that’s insane some mechanic shops are crazy
I know!! With everything increasing In cost I can see it but we did the job much cheaper so I’m happy!
The only part that I wanted to see was blocked by your knee. LOL.
Is it the same process for the back rotors and breaks ?
Great question! It’s roughly 80% the same process but you must over different rotors/pads. My channel has a video on rear breaks for this Acura TL if you need it!
is it the same mm socket for the rear pads?
Yessir it should be! All bolts will be the same size. I learned mine we different sizes 😟 (prob from previous owner) but if you know your car. It all should be the same!!
Good luck!!
The type s is a slightly different setup from what i can tell... great video tho
Appreciate ya brotha! It’s actually a base TL! But I appreciate your comment & respect ✊🏽
I think you meant look at the pads. You said calipers
You caught me😂we are human, we make mistakes!! Lol
