Nice review . The Meecool devices are very nice. I wish they would have gotten the Netflix certified for the KM6 Deluxe.But I would take this device over the Chrome and Firestick just because it has everything that would be extras on the latter. Did you find out what the Lan speed is?
Thanks for the update...I have used the MECOOL products over the past years...They provide plenty of features, however, my experiences with the M8S Pros were heating, had to add a fan to keep them going...no mention of how these newer units go as far as temperatures. All three of the M8S pros bit the dust due to heat even with the fans and mounted out in the open. I was never impressed with the Firmware available updates. Will be keeping an eye on this unit to see how the responses are over time.
I have stopped boxes from China. I have had so many. I have a fire TV 4k, Chromecast with Google TV, Fire Cube and Nvidia Sheild. I am sticking with the big boys device's
Yeah, the generic ones running the mobile launcher aren't the best in comparison. But MECOOL is Google Certified with Android TV lime the above devices.

I gave up with the whole Chinese android boxes thing a good few years now, once I got my first Nvidia Shield that was it for me never looked back got two Nvidia Shields now...great review keep up the good work my man
Thinking of buying a Panasonic tv (on an LG rn ) and one of the things putting me off it is it’s so called smart features and OS. So I’m glad I came across this by accident - maybe I could stop worrying about that (but it’s one hell of an expensive tv and Imma feel right ripped of for having to need to get a separate streaming device ). Also I subscribed - you’re just such a jolly person that I thought y not (and I’m quite stingy with my subscriptions 😂)

Next TV I get I won't be looking to pay for the added extras. But, I totally understand where you're coming from feeling ripped off 🍻

The Chromecast is still the best, having owned the Mibox S and the 4k firestick as well. The Google TV UI is whats sets it apart from the others but when all Android devices are updated to Google TV this year the KM2 will be the kiddy.

Hi bud. If you already have a few echo devices and would prefer an Amazon device, hold off for a Cube. They recently dropped on offer down to £60 and no doubt they will be on offer again in the near future. I can vouch for the Cube as that's my main streaming device in the living room.
Watch out for the power adapter mine stopped working on my KM6 luckily I had a backup which I ordered from them because someone told me on a chat site that there’s went also I purchased the KM2 hopefully it’s reliable

HELP. I am having trouble getting both wireless mouse and keyboard to work on andriod x88 pro . Is there a rule about what plugs into where. Do I need to change settings or is this device , just S...? Can I use both on McCool device ?
I would've said anything Android TV before they changed their interface... Now, I'm glad I settled for the $30 Firestick when I bought it, because they're all pretty much looking the same, at this point; and, from the reviews I've seen, they pretty much run the same, as well. But, the extras of the Mi or MECOOL seem like they could be convienient.
Need prices to compare 3 devices really. How about a spread sheet with price, rom, ram, entutu bench marks etc then we can see what's what on all devices.

You warned us about a price increase on Netflix, recently and would we unsubscribe to netflix because of that. and you were right. well the company increased my 4k netflix account to £14.99 from £9.99, but..i saw numerous videos on you tube that said my new nvidia tv pro box could upscale to 4K from HD, and as far as i can see it works. so now i pay 9.99 for Netflix HD to 4k will the mecool best streaming device be able to do that ?.
It's hard to say which is the best. Personally use the Fire TV Cube in the main room as my family love it and use the Alexa feature a lot. If I had to choose between such as this or a Chromecast I would say this. Nvidia Shield is a great device but just overkill for what I need in most rooms. A very hard question mate and each persons answer would be different.

I found a problem. I have two flash drives hooked to my firestick ( one 128 gb, the other 512 gb), but when I load and move the apks is still get too many files and get kicked to ES. Everything is on the flashes except the Amazon files. How do I correct that?
@@FreeTech i have them mounted through a ub cable (or whatever it's called) into a seven port hub. Formated by the stick to 32-bit. The flashes are Sandisk. Could ES be the problem? I had a lot of trouble getting that to install and work. I have a similar problem trying to load Tor.

Hi Chris. For some reason 3rd party apps have this issue and it an get annoying with no way around it. You can install sideload launcher from the store and add it to your home screen.

Eventually this won't be needed. But the 1 on Let's Crack On is the full review while this 1 is more letting people know about the new Netflix permissions.
Not great but matches other devices in its category. Not sure if it's also had something to do with them getting Netflix as all their other devices have high RAM & Storage but no Netflix.

I have the Mi box S, I put the firestick on the shelf, in my opinion the firestick uses up to much memory and isn't real easy to add external storage.

On banggood it dont say anything about dts sound. Any problem with device geting dts sound playing from kodi.

That's a big increase that init bud. There's currently only the Shield which has AI Upscaling bud.

How are the drives formatted? Also I'm not sure if there's a storage limit for external devices on Firestick. I've not gone above 64gb.

Can you use BBC iplayer on it? other mecool devices don't work with it.
The BBC iPlayer App is available on my website for android TV and works a treat bud.
