INR 1,200 means only $16. Highly skilled and very hard handwork. No one in the west will make this kind of handmade sandals. If a leather craftsman would do it as a challenge, he/she would take at least several weeks to make one pair. The leather itself would cost a lot and at the end they would not sell it for less than $200. I am giving a very conservative estimate.
