Library looks good. Best wishes with what you choose to read. The only problem with watching other book tube channels is that it only increases the tbr! Happy reading to you!
Great list and probably quickest I've ever subscribed when I saw e.g. The Idiot (and DFW) included. Smaller, more sincere channels like this are saving me right now, and yours seems like one of the best. Thank you :) I know no one asked, but I can't help sharing some of my own favourites: Les Misérables - Victor Hugo The Crossing - Cormac McCarthy At the Mountains of Madness - H.P. Lovecraft Heaven - Mieko Kawakami The Idiot - Fyodor Dostoyevsky Light in August - William Faulkner Cat’s Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut The Samurai - Shūsaku Endō Ship of Magic - Robin Hobb The Demon-Haunted World - Carl Sagon
I love your taste... some of my favourite books are in that list❤ and you're soothing to listen to yay. I also appreciate your sensitivity. I too feel incredibly anxious about the knowledge that my life will never be as it is at a specific moment. I've been aware of this since a child, no matter where I was. I also love the Idiot from Dostoevsky for the same reasons, and I love Ivan's monologue for the same reasons as well lol! I can't wait to watch your other videos
I have officaly become OBSESSED with ur vids, the way u explain these books in such a soft spoken manner really helps me unwind and be in the moment with you. PLEASE keep on post book recs !
brazilian here! in the middle of the video i was thinking “oh se would loooove clarisse” and right afterwards you started talking ab her in such a lovely way and i was like aaawn that makes sense!!!!! loooove the video and the recomendations!! the book of pleasures is one of my life favorites i would also like to recommend you jorge amado, he is an amazing writer and the book “captains of the sands” is impeccable in passing the Brazilian passion and warmth so glad your video came across my recommendations! happy to be a new member of the community 💘
another stefan zweig enthusiast, the youtube algorithm has led me to the right place! also agree, selin is one of the most relatable characters i've read about.
I love both the book you chose and the way you talk about them, it’s so clear they hold a special place in your heart Can’t wait to hear u talk about the others that didn’t make into this video🫶🏻
you have such great taste in books 🤭 and, judging from the thumbnails of your other videos, just generally in life as well :) looks like i’ve found a new channel to obsess over
Definitely adding Clarice Lispector to my tbr! I would also struggle to choose only 10 books, but my auto buy authors are Alessandro Barico and Yoko Ogawa ❤
Great pronunciation of Água Viva ♥I really tried to read Clarissa but aside from what was a required reading at school - I can't into her writing. I think this is some kind of heresy, but I will try next reading her in english instead of portuguese to see if I'm able to connect more with her writing. I got intrigued by the Pale King. Thanks for sharing your favorite books with us ♥
This is your first video about literature and you did it so well?! 😲 Do more! The only Lispector I've read thus far is this "The Hour of the Star," it is pretty good 👍
Stefan Zweig...nice! i read his stories in the original german..and it is beautiful, crystal clear language...even with my limited german skills...i loved it :-) Have you read anything by Irving D Yalom? "Love's Executioner" was amazing IMHO...the author is a psychoanalyst and outlines some of his patient's issues in that book
Omg I entered in these video just to get some recomendations, and you indicate Clarice Lispector 🫶 sooo amazing to see people enjoying brazilian/latin american literature ❤ I'm really not use to seeing that
No background music, cozy vibes and good book recommendations... i love it ⚘️✨️
