There is a very easy hack that you can do to overwrite the PSTV's blacklist, and enable you to play ALL Vita games on the PSTV. For the most part it works great, although some games have compatibility issues.
Haxterz i dont know how will it work tbh vita has back touchpad in the back. games like tearaway have touchscreen function on the backand front ps4 only have a touchpad.
I love the game! It's my favourite VITA game actually. It's a great handheld game, because you can do a quick botmatch whenever you want kill some time, has a fun progression system and most importantly: If you play with the Stealth perk activated, it's actually one of the best stealth games in recent years with real good ungimmicky actual stealth!
Hope you keep reviewing more Vita games! Especially, the more underrated ones like Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken and Gravity Rush.
I must say this is on of my favourite handheld titles and also pretty high up in my Killzone List. Ironically it plays less like Killzone, but more like Goldeneye 007. I love the challange mode, but I must say the last mission of the prescision challange is downright impossible with those controls...
Glad to see a good review for the Vita/PSTV. I own them both and it's a shame that they are not that successful. The Vita is the most powerful handheld ever made and the PSTV is a great add-on, play PS4 remote play and classic PSP and PS1 games.
***** You are more courageous than me, I bought two bundles for 40$ canadian (that's like 30$US) each. At first I was like " oh neat a controller and a free memory card for my Vita", but then I tried the little box and I had to have one on each TV!
Kind surprised Sony hasn't ported this game to the PS4 like they've done with a few other Vita exclusives, still it looks like a relatively solid game in contrast to Killzone 2, and 3, which are the only games in that series that I played.
Wouldn't be much different from the Vita, honestly. The PSP and Vita picked up Sega's gauntlet in trying to stand up against Nintendo's handheld supremacy, continuing Sega's legacy. The Vita's physical design is pretty reminiscent to the game gear, too. Handhelds themselves will die off before anyone can dethrone Nintendo, but damn can we enjoy some great games in the meantime.
Absolutely, dont listen to the haters. There are more than enough great games for the system to warrant a purchase. Especially if you like RPGs and niche Japanese games, then Vita will be your new best friend. Add to that all the great games on PSN as well as the PSP and PSone classics. Vita rocks man, you wont regret it.

You need to buy and extra micro SD card for save data, but not the cheap ones (wich are still mad expensive) or else it's full after three games... Not that the vita has many games worth the purchase, most of them are wannabe home console games wich is not what you would buy a handheld for.
Mark, love your stuff, but seriously... you highly recommend the PS TV? Half my Vita collection isn't compatible with the dang thing, and even games that are don't even show up on their online library. It's terrible!
Games like these show that Sony did try (for awhile) anyway. But with the launch of the PS4. They focused all their attention to it. And it worked out for them.

Mark is spot-on! If you have a Vita and like FPS's, you want Killzone Mercenary. Also Mark is spot-on with his remarks about the price of Sony's memory cards, they screwed the PSP over the same way too.
Can anyone tell me why CGRundertow closed and what it had to do with Classic Game Room? What was their working relationship like? I have no idea what's been going on, but I was very sad to see it close down, and I miss it a lot. I dont want this to close down either. I hope there was no bad blood between anyone. is it wrong that I bought the Vita day 1, played the killzone mercinary beta day 1, bought a 16gb memory card(and went bankrupt), but never bought this? the beta was amazing! if I still wasn't bankrupt to this day from that memory card I would buy this
I bought a ps tv for $30. Then another for $20 as a back-up months later. Finally bought an actual Vita and 32gb card. Kind of sad when the Vita tv cost me less than killzone would haha
If your a PS3 or PS4 User its an easy choice to get the PS VITA and play everywhere there is WIFI Also if your a PS+ member you got 2 game every month so you have the best portable experience on the market !
If the Vita had more first party AAA titles, or just more AAA titles in general, I would have bought one. Sadly it seems like the majority of games are weird JRPGs, which I'm not in to. I really loved my PSP, but sold it because of the lack of a right analog stick, so the Vita looked like the perfect handheld if only it had been supported better by Sony.
Jeez those knife takedowns are brutal. I may be getting soft in my old age whereas when I was growing up I was playing games like Mortal Kombat for SNES, Manhunt for Ps2, and watching nothing but 80s horror films. I would light up with glee whenever I would see extreme violence or gore. Now seeing something as simple as these takedowns makes me cringe at how violent they feel to me now.
If you ever do play it Holly, let me know what you think. This was the first Killzone game I played and I was surprised at how challenging the game was my first time. Really enjoyed the games atmosphere though.
It cannot be overstressed how advantageous it is to have top-shelf shooter games for a handheld! I really liked Unit 13, a 3rd person cover shooter, but Killzone Mercenary blew me away. Break out the Vita, put the earbuds in and play some mercenary havoc when you are supposed to be working or doing other productive things.
I'm down to play this with some vita peeps. I also want friends for freedom wars and ssdelta. And I got payday2 for ps4 off the flash sale..and I haven't tried a mission yet. I'm down to mic up and play those.
I would probably play this game more if it wasn't for the fact that I'm the absolute worst at first-person shooters and my health bar-loving brain gets confused by the screen becoming grey.

+Normie Reedus you have to research. Can't hate on them too much..in Jan of 2016 I got a dark souls 2 collectors edition for 20 bucks. Can't complain that statue is badass. I found that deal online from the site and delivered it to my store.

My friend who works there was surprised I found that deal on ds2. It said online only but I got it delivered to my local store, sad thing tho..it rose to 25 and now you can't get it online, only find in store. Last year during 4 for 20 deal..I got dead island riptide, madden 15 for ps4, prototype 2 with sleeve ( still unopened) and sonic genesis collection..and normally the sonic collection goes for about 15 by itself.

This is one of my favorite PS Vita games and platinum trophies. It's too bad that they shut down the servers. At least we still have Botzone.

Great game I own 1-3 and shadow fall, but this is my most played kz I had it since launch day.
I managed to find my 16GB Vita memory card, at Walmart on clearance for $10.00. They can be cheap, depending on where you look.
I bought a vita TV bundle from Walmart on Saturday for $50. And I needed a new ds3 so it worked out.

The Vita is so underrated. It's my favorite handheld of all time. People are missing the fuck out.
