    Always a pleasure watching your vids Tyler. It's so refreshing to see responsible 4WDing and camping with the family. SOOO tired of all the yahoos putting up vids doing stupid chest beating stuff and more often than not breaking gear and looking like gooses. Really enjoy your blend of editing, narration and music that make up your content. Your getting quite a few followers recommending your channel to other 4WD/Camping groups. That speaks volumes about the quality of your vids 👍

    Great work Tyler. Takes some effort to do all that videoing and editing. I’ve camped at Mt Murray twice then down to the Buckland, visited Lake Cobbler, done the Staircase (uphill) twice, camped on the King - all in a bog standard 1991 petrol Ford Maverick. Love it all. Haven’t done the King River track - you’ve inspired me. Must remedy that. And Craig’s Hut is just magnificent. Thanks for sharing.

    You should have driven to the summit of Mt Selwyn Track. The last couple hundred metres is a great little challenge! We were there I think the same week as you, 5th January 19' and found an NP300 stuck at the summit with a couple of blokes frantically trying to get the car out with just a shovel! My Maxtrax have most of his brand new KO3s still melted into them hahaha! Great vids mate!

    Lol, when we visited Cobbler lake, a kid was having his 21st Rave, there. Not peaceful. His party almost drowned out the roar of the frogs. Doof doof until 3am. It was fine tho, they were just partying not violent or destructive. Another camper was not so relaxed about it. Started playing country music at 7 full blast.

    Im planning on doing a similar route in 3 weeks. Did you boys need extra jerry cans of fuel or found it was safe to make it to fill up at a service station on these tracks. Trying to figure out if i need some and how much. Was hoping to make it to dargo region from tom groggin by 3 days. But that doesnt seem likely

    G'day Tyler. Do you do Q&A's ? :-D I'm pretty new to 4x4 and feeling inspired by your films of real world touring, free from "TO THE MAX!!!!!" macho bull dust.
    Is this High Country trip doable in a bog standard 90s series Prado? No winch no snorkel? I have responsible recovery equipment, boards and straps etc. Any thoughts?

    • @TylerThompson90
      @TylerThompson90  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate, thank you! Glad you're enjoying the videos :). Haven't done any Q&A's but will try and do a couple soon.
      It's always a tricky question mate, a lot of the tracks would be but then some definitely not. Things can change quickly if it rains too

    Really appreciate the showing the route on the map (as you usually do). Makes it somewhat possible to find where what track and campsite is and the conditions for me (one day). I get fed up with some others that treat it all as a big secret. The ultimate is for gps reading (WGS 84) at campsites and intersections, as used by Goggle and Garmin. I log waypoints on a Garmin and it takes me straight back there or allows me to pinpoint them immediately on Goggle maps at home. Cheers mate.

    Hi Tyler,
    Another great video mate. Mt. Hotham to Lake a cobbler tracks looks worth to try. Some nice travelling up there. Big waterfall called Dandongadale falls (255m high) it is the longest fall in state of Victoria. There is no access to it (tried few years a go had no luck).
    Just letting you know just came back from high country with my cousin ( on his stock standard Mux) had no drama getting up to pinnacle via back way. Mux is very capable car. But didn’t took it to Billy goat bluff track.
    Ok mate please keep your vid rolling in.

    I look forward to your videos mate. Very informative and pleasing to the eye. As a 45 year old man who just bought his first 4WD, this is all good info. I would never do these trips alone as I have zero experience but I do have a couple of good experienced 4WD friends that make trips on a regular basis to the Vic High country. I will be going next month with them either to do Craigs hut or Billy Goats Bluff, they haven't decided yet.
