  • A start-to-finish how-to guide on replacing an air conditioning blower motor in a 2013 Toyota Prius. This should be the same for all 2010 - 2015 third-gen Prius. Second-gen from 2004 to 2009 has the additional step of removing the lower glovebox.
If your A/C isn't blowing, or only turns on after going over a bump, the blower motor is the likely problem. These tend to go out on a Prius when they are around 7 - 8 years old, with 120,000 or more miles. Fortunately, they're fairly cheap and easy to replace.
You'll need a replacement blower motor, 8mm wrench or socket, and a flat-head screwdriver helps. Total repair takes under an hour. Let me know if you have any questions!
