    I just happened to spot this Finish Power Gel on Amazon and was impressed reading about it. I also felt the price was reasonable. This was just a month before the lockdown. Although I had some detergent and tablets srock, I felt the price was reasonable and hence ordered it. I never knew this would turn out to be so useful during the lockdown.
    Sharing the buying link of the Finish Power Gel. Seems out of stock at the moment, hope it is available soon!!
    amzn.to/2W4HvhE
    Going by the languages on the pack, it appears to be made exclusively for the European market. I felt it gave amazing results both in short and long cycles.
    Some users have complained that detergent powder tends to stay back in the chamber and not get used fully. One of the reasons for this is hard water. I think this problem will not arise with gel as it would dissolve fully even in hard water.
    Tablet is not economical for short cycles and hence this gel can be a good substitute for tablets too. Although this is just a detergent and does not have rinse aid or salt (checked the pack, no mention), amazingly this gives results like tablets.
    I have shown using of the gel both in short cycle and the long cycle, so I request you to watch till the end.
    Hope you like the video and find it useful!
    Thanks for all the love and support.

    I love using finish gel it gets to work as soon as it starts and it doesn't need to dissolve I use salt and rinse aid too as this one needs it. On amazon only fairy platinum gel is available and is an all in one so you don't need rinse aid or salt for fairy but you pay for three bottles so it's more of a bulk buy item. But both work well.

    Hi ma'am like your videos a lot .. it's only after watching your video I made up my mind to buy dishwasher otherwise I was almost not sure of buying it. I just have a one question, I mostly have alluminium cooking vessels like: cookers , kadahi or pans. In other videos on youtube most of them are saying alluminium will get back or colorless with time if we go on washing it in dishwasher. But what I got after watching your video that with low temperature n short cycle nothing would happen to alluminium utensils.Is is correct what I m understanding then why other r saying otherwise. Planning to take bosh dishwasher in some months.
    Thanks n will wait for your reply.

      Hi Ruby, yes you are right. Manufacturers do not recommend washing aluminium in dishwasher as it will get discoloured due to reaction with detergent and hard water at high temperature. But if you have soft water and use only low temperature cycle, then aluminium does not get discoloured. This is based on my experience and hence I have shared this in my videos. Thanks.

    After seeing this blog I too have bought this liquid detergent, bit I have a question, as I have set the rince aid on 2 and salt on 1 ( as per TDS indicator) do I have to switch to " 0 " settings for rince aid, back and forth whenever I use this liquid detergent ? 🙏🏻 Sorry I bother you again with all my doubts.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually if your water is soft, changing settings is not required everytime. But for hard water, the settings may need to be adjusted everytime you change from gel to detergent. But this is to be arrived by trial and error. Thanks.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No way Poonam. It's not advisable to use normal dishwash liquid as they cause foam.
      As a temporary substitute I've shown a hack, which you can watch in this video :
      th-cam.com/video/2y7hsjGpc68/w-d-xo.html
      This is only a temporary solution and should not be used on a regular basis.
      Btw, nowadays there is not much waiting period as it was during lockdown, for the detergents and other consumables.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Gaurav, That's a good question. My salt and rinse aid settings are H01 and r01, so I did not think of setting the both to zero before trying out the gel.
      But today I tried after your query, for the long cycle with H0 & r0 and the results were still the same, i.e I got exceptional cleaning. But I want to try out few more cycles before coming to a conclusion. I'll get back once I do that.
      Yes, you are right, because it is All in One, you don't need rinse aid and salt. But I will post about that conclusively after a few days.

      Hi Dipti, I think you may not need up to a certain level of hardness. I will try out few more cycles with hardness and rinse aid level set to zero and then tell you for sure, by posting a video on that. But definitely this is best suited for hard water and using this will surely reduce the requirement of salt and rinse aid, from what I have seen.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ruchi, please check whether the detergent chamber is wet or has water drops. If so please wipe the compartment dry before putting detergent. You could also check whether the detergent itself is wet and sticky or lumpy (this happens if the detergent is not kept in a closed jar and is left open to atmospheric air. Thanks.

      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, this happens sometimes.
      Try to keep the detergent compartment dry always before filling it.
      More detergent than required for the program and dish load could also be a reason.
      Use the right quantity of detergent.
      Select the correct program based on the degree of soiled dishes.
      Follow these and this shouldn't happen.

    • @BhuvanaAdi

      Yes Bindya, this gel is especially good for hard water. Those small dots on utensils are due to ard water. Btw, what is your salt setting and do you know your water hardness?
      If your water is very hard, you need to adjust salt to certain minimum level even if you are using the gel.
      Thanks for sharing your experience.

      Please let me know if you find a difference.

    Looks like its very effective in a short cycle....something that possibly other detergents can't do that well. My machine has started and I did come across the power issue but the machine starts from the cycle it had stopped on . So in a 1 hr 21 mins turbo cycle with steam, if the machine looses its power at 33 mins, I think it starts back from 38 mins remaining. Similarly if it looses its power at 1 hour, then it would start back from 1hr 21 mins. This is mentioned in the manual that it will start from the beginning of the cycle that it was interrupted on.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Oliver for sharing your experience. Yes I have mentioned this to many people when they asked me about program resumption after power outage. The machine starts from the beginning of whichever cycle(pre wash,wash, rinse) it was in, before the power cut.
      Though the gel gives exceptional cleaning results in every cycle it is very well suited for the short cycle as I have told in my video. It dissolves better than detergents(many viewers have complained that detergent remains and sticks in the dispenser) and 20 ml of gel gives effective cleaning in a short cycle which a tablet would not give as it will be wasted. Thus it is a very good alternative for both the detergent and tablet for any program cycle.

      I have given the link in the description. But I have also mentioned that it is not available now. I spoke to the seller and they informed that it has to come from Europe and it may take a few months for the stocks to come. There's uncertainty on this due to Covid.
      The MRP was ₹999 but I bought it for ₹549. I felt it was reasonable for a 1 litre pack. Now after using, assuming 50 washes or even more, it works out to ₹11 per wash with tablet quality wash. If you compare with finish detergent which is priced ₹425 now, it is a bit more but less than Finish tablet cost.
      Hope when it becomes available again, the price remains the same.

    Hi Mam
    We have purchased the Hafele dishwasher in the first few washes the dishes were coming clean but after 15 days all ma utensils have started getting a film on it 😣.The technician visited us after placing an issue he had adjusted the hardness level of the dishwasher which was not done by the first installation time.Even after changing the settings still the white film is there .I have also used a Descaling powder to descale the machine that too in the Eco mode which is having the highest temperature, but that is also of no use .Mam I use the Finish detergent,salt and rinse aid .the dishes were coming clean but film is there on it ,white film .I have to scrub it with the steel scrubber .I have seen many videos to resolve this issue and the people r using vinegar and baking soda .Mam before trying it out I wanna know have u ever experienced any such problem with the dishwasher.and any suggestions from ur own experience.Need ur Experience advice.looking forward to it

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Romana, thanks for your query. First of I would like to know your water quality, what's the water hardness on your locality. Based on hardness only you've to do the salt and rinse aid settings.
      The white film you're getting us because of hard water.
      Some people who have very hard water, even after keeping maximum settings of salt and rinse aid get the lime scale formation on dishes which they remove by vinegar or citric acid.
      I would advise you to first get your water hardness tested in a food/water testing lab to know the exact figures, based on which you can adjust the settings.
      In case your water is very hard then you can do the final rinse of all those utensils which have a white film, with vinegar or citric acid.

    Hello Mam, I have been following your channel for the past few weeks. Even I am having Bosh dw (1.5 years old). Since we are in Chennai, the water is so hard that it keeps asking for salt every 2 days. Do we have any other options. Moreover, my dw is showing check water after 2-5 minutes of cycle ( after the first soap cycle is over). Don't know what is the reason. Due to lockdown, service is delayed.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi @Kodhai Sreekanth,
      1) How much salt do you add every time?
      2) What is your water hardness?
      3) What is the salt setting in the machine? If setting is high due to hard water more salt will be used.
      4) If it is showing check water then water inlet filter could be clogged and may need cleaning.
      5) If you are having hard water, it is a good idea to use water softener or connect soft water supply to machine.
      You could try keeping half cup vinegar in top rack and running an empty cycle {without any dishes)
      (OR)
      Put 2 - 3 tbsp citric acid in detergent compartment and running an empty cycle.
      6) Which are the cycles you use regularly and how often do you run the machine in a day?
      This could remove the limescale formation on the internal parts.
      Try the above and I am sure your problem should get solved.

      Good Evening @@BhuvanaAdi . Thank you for your prompt response 👍
      1. A 2-kg pack of Finish salt runs around 4 days ( with 2- cycle per day, either with quick wash with extra dry or eco wash depending upon the utensils and grease quantity).
      2. Water hardness is high in our area (as per the service engineer), but I don't know the exact numbers.
      3. I don't know how to set the salt. It was done during installation only.
      4. We had booked a complaint regarding this. Service engineer attended it. He told due to water hardness, the censor is not working properly and we need to change it immediately.
      5. We are planning to have water softener machine ( mostly sold online for dishwasher and washing machine). Hope this works.
      6. Dishwasher cleaning with vinegar is done monthly once.
      The answer to the last question is in point 1.
      Thank you again for your prompt response. Where do you stay? How is your water quality in your area?

      Hi Kodhai, that was a nice reply to my queries.
      You've written you do not know to adjust salt setting in your machine. Please watch all the videos in the playlist below by which you will learn a lot about the machine.
      2 kgs for 8 cycles is indeed quite high. You haven't mentioned how good is the cleaning.
      If enough salt (1kg) was not filled at the beginning the indicator could blink. Did you try adding more salt?
      I wonder why the sensor should get spoilt in a new machine, unless this happens to be a regular complaint nowadays.
      I live in Hyderabad and the water in my locality is fairly soft.
      Btw where do you live? If it is Chennai I'm sure your water will be definitely very hard.
      Please click the link below to watch the various videos on the LG dishwasher, there is also a video showing how to adjust your salt and rinse aid setting:

      Good Morning Bhuvana.
      I have gone through your video for salt water setting, but that combination doesn't work in my Bosh dw. I have gone through some online videos of Bosh dw also for these, but not able to set.
      Yes, I live in Chennai and here hardwater level is too high because of which my dw salt intake is more.
      The error which I was receiving in dw was due to the censor, and this would be replaced under warranty.
      Once censor gets replaced, will check with dw cycle option and let you know.
      Thank you

      Hi Bhuvana. Technician came and replaced censor in our dishwasher. Now its running fine. I have asked him to check for hardness in the water from flowing tap. It came around 450 (units I don't know. I think he was using TDS meter). Later, he decreased salt settings from H7 to H5. Generally, wat would be salt setting for this level of hardness?
      Another question;
      Also, long back I have seen small clusters/ stains in dishwasher. Would that be due to low salt level?
      Another question; can we adjust the temperature in dishwasher cycle with longer duration?
      For the last 2 days, I am using half tablet of Fortune (seeing your video) for nearly heavy load in Eco mode. Dishes come clean.
      Thank you

    Mam detergent or tablet nd which brand would be best for tea stains mam

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, cleaning heavily stained tea vessels depend not only on detergents, but also on correct placement of those vessels and the right program selection.
      Heavily soiled dishes can be best cleaned in Auto or Intensive program.
      Detergent brands can be chosen based on your water quality. For eg. Finish brand is ideal for soft to medium hard water, Fortune and Vim gives good cleaning for hard water etc.
      Tablets clean heavily stained vessels better than detergents as they have a few additional ingredients for breaking stains, cleaning, shining etc.
      But you can use tablets if you have very heavily soiled dish load, using a longer high temperature cycle.
      Also your salt and rinse aid setting have to be rightly done based on your water quality.
      Follow these and you will get your stained vessels fully cleaned.
      I've uploaded many videos showing usage of different detergents and tablets, in my channel. You can find them in a playlist, the link of which I'm sharing below:
