👮♂️ ~ I don’t pretend to know what the jobs like. But so many carbs, probably at least half of the very least, like to work in high crime neighborhoods because they like the adrenaline rush. Just like the one cop said “it’s fun“. And I’m not criticizing that because you need people that like what they do in order to do it, but when cops think it’s fun to have a adrenaline rush it also leads them to take it too far. Because they’re often doing it because they like it more than because it’s necessary. That’s why you have to have checks and balances on the cops. Do I feel like nowadays cops are being hamstrung because some tactics they need to take don’t look nice and pretty. But my thought is we wouldn’t be in this time we’re cops are you so poorly by so much of society across all different kinds of metrics had the police unions not been looking out only four cops over the past 30+ years. A police union wants all cops to get a slap on the wrist unless they’re outright 100% corrupt by tipping off criminals and involved in the drug trade just like the criminals. Besides that, they’re going to have your back. They have cultivated a “us versus them“ mentality. This includes everything including teasing and 85-year-old frail grandmother who is extremely confused and doesn’t speak English because she wouldn’t put down a kitchen knife when she was out by herself cutting flowers in the woods. So they tased her which could have killed her. The tased itself could’ve killed her or the fall could’ve broken her hip. And if you look about the horrible consequences that a broken hip has on the health of an 85-year-old frail woman then you’ll see it shortens her life significantly and their quality of life plummets. But they find this type of thing “fun“ so they do it. And they’re never held accountable. Or at least they were never held accountable in the past except for the most extreme situations. And this has caused a snowball effect.
