That letter was written 2000 years ago to a church in Thessalonica, not to us today. If I find a church flyer saying there is a church function at the park on August 3,1981, should I show up in 2024 and expect it to be taking place?
Where in the book of Thessalonians , does it Objectively indicate what you're asserting ? Your assertion requires the following : 1. A Church "function" ("at a park"for example) as a Temporal matter - as the Exclusive domain - contained in the Letter itself . 2. An explicit and unequivocal mention that its contents exclude any Eternal/Everlasting subject issue . I see neither as an Objectively verifiable possibility .

@@ophiuchus9071 Agree it was written TO literal Thessalonians . Clearly, issues with endless and non temporal consideration are also evident in the Text . Looks like you're affirming Preterism of some sort , if I had to venture a Guess ?

1 Thes 1
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,
To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
everything is written to them and for them
for example in chapter 4
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. Why would God tell them that some of them would still be remaining alive at the coming of the Lord?
and why did Jesus say this
Matthew 16:28
Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

Oh cool so exactly what Bob was saying @ 6:30.
