    Thanks to your vid I covered an ugly grey seat cushion with baroque pattern white and gold vinyl. It looks absolutely magnificent now! Very classy. Thank you sooo much! :-)

    Brilliant! It's like wrapping a big present! To keep the house quiet I had to watch the video with no sound and was still able to figure out how to do this. I need to quickly make a bench cushion for a van and will use a Harbor Freight drop cloth and this design/process to make my cover. No time for sewing, measuring, etc. I may use a bit of fabric paint on the fabric to dress it up just a bit. Thanks a million!

    I just watched 6 videos, on DIY outdoor cushions and was totally disappointed.., until I saw yours!

    Well presented, easy instructions and affordable. Kudos to you: best in class!

      Hi Debra, thank you! Some extra tips after having this on my porch for a while... some of the sticky on the Velcro became less sticky so I brought out the glue gun and reinforced all the seams and now it’s as good as new!

    Very clear instructions. Love the use of a vinyl tablecloth. More Velcro! And I’d likely use glue since Velcro sticky seems to wear down. Btw: The trick to neat gift wrapping corners is to trim the ends before you start. But not too much! And using an iron on low could help pinch the folds. Thank you!

    Thank you for this! I have just purchased a teak picnic table set and the benches are in need of cushions. Looked everywhere online for the size I need and it would cost $100 for two. I will be getting some foam asap. To keep the cushions in place I may have to place some type of rubber strips underneath to keep them from moving around on the benches which are flat with no back

    I’ve made a cover like this before. Because of heat, rain and weather conditions the table cloth doesn’t last long. I think when showing a project you should have all the materials needed for the project. No excuse for not have the Velcro. For a quick cover this will work. 😊

    This was such a great idea! Unrelated question...the cookware hanging behind you....would you mind sharing the brand and whether it is hard anodized? If so, how do you like it, how has it held up and what is your cleaning method for it?

    • @LavenderButtonsDesign
      @LavenderButtonsDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Veronica, thank you. They are calphalon nonstick. I’m not sure if they’re hard anodized. I’ve had them about 4 years and most have held up pretty well but the pan I used most is no longer nonstick. Calphalon is supposed to have a great warranty system but I haven’t had any luck contacting them. We always wash them by hand and followed the instructions they came with. They’re decent pans but in the future when more wear out, I will mostly likely choose a different brand due to the lack of customer support I’ve experienced.

    This a great idea. I was originally gonna use polyester shower curtains but they were so thin. Can I ask were they at all "crunchy" to sit on?

    • @LavenderButtonsDesign
      @LavenderButtonsDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I wouldn’t say they’re crunchy, but they do have a little vinyl squeak noise. Once I’m settled they don’t have any noise

    How did you cut that foam do perfect

    • @LavenderButtonsDesign
      @LavenderButtonsDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Terry, it's not 100% perfect but the trick is to do shallow slices (maybe 1/2" or so) with the knife over and over until the foam is cut all the way through. Try not to squish the foam down while you're cutting and this should make a pretty even edge. Then the thickness of the table cloth helps hide any other imperfections.

    • @LavenderButtonsDesign
      @LavenderButtonsDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you plan to use it a lot, I would be very generous with the amount of Velcro you use. I ended up having to go back and reinforce mine with more Velcro and a little hot glue. I only use mine occasionally though. The great news is that it’s easy and inexpensive to fix if it gets worn out

      Hi Richa, I don’t remember what size the full piece of foam I bought was. I checked the Home Depot website and they have a few depths that are 2ftx6ft. My bench measure 49.5”x19” so that’s what size I cut the foam down to.

    Good tutorial, but I would suggest just leave off the music, since I would rather hear your voice clearly instructing the 'how to'. Unfortunately, I could not hear half of what you said because the music overlapped and was a bit too loud. Other than that though you seemed to instruct clearly in your actions, and I did get some good ideas. Thanks for the video.
