Very helpful Clint, thanks for taking the time to post this. You save many of us the tedious task of learning all of this on our own, which can be time consuming and, at times, frustrating. Btw, some of the trails you ride in the "palm tree forests" look pretty cool and technical.

I’m still running the 8 Black, probably do for an upgrade but I get decent footage with it still. TH-cam compression tends to trash my GoPro footage anyways. I probably should make the push to 4K though and I think it would help. I like superview and chest mount to give some perspective with the bike in the frame instead of that head mount style where it looks like a drone flying through the trail. I will try your white balance tip.

Awesome video. I was using settings recommended by Kyle Warner about 3 years ago. This video helped me update a few settings for the newer cameras. What do you mean when you say 60FPS looks like a soap opera? 2:53

American soap operas (daytime drama tv shows) have a distinct yet weird look to them, as they are shot and 60 FPS I believe. 60 FPS shot on cameras and played back on a 60 FPS timeline, look like that. I don’t like the look. However when you shoot 60 FPS and slow it down on a 30 FPS timeline, the slow motion looks great.
