Nice episode and so beautiful WIP´s ! My decision for the stripy sweater: the yarn will be gorgeous in the blanket! I always have about ten different WIP´s on the go and I´ll take my time, so don´t worry, theres no knitting police at the door 😹. Happy knitting💜
Just wanted to thank you for keeping me company on a sick day ❤ I love that you share so multiple things that bring you joy, I agree with your thoughts!
Dear Sherrie, Your episodes always bring me joy!! Especially love the scrappy projects; they are beautiful and inspiring. I wouild not abandon the strippy sweater , just rearange the color sequence; I feel it's the color arangement that has you put off. There are many wips in my collection; will need to evaluate soon to see which ones need to stay or go. Looking forward to trying out some of the projects you shared; waiting patiently for the socks by #theautumnacornknits. Take care and Happy Making!! Best ~ Lori 🤗😘
I currently have 14 projects on the go. 5 blankets, 1 sweater, 3 shawls, 3 pairs of socks, 1 hat, and 1 stuffie. While I do keep track of them, I'm not super fussy about needing to finish them before I start anything new. Some of these projects have been on the needles/hook for at least 3 years. I'm going to be finishing a blanket today that I've been working on for at least 2 years. Things get done when they get done and there's always something new and shiny that catches my attention.
Thank you Sherrie, I enjoy your podcasts so much, I love your log cabin blanket and I think you should had your yarn to that. Anyway, all your projects are lovely!
Great video! Love going through WIPs and making decisions about how to spend time and energy to create happiness. Isn't that what it's all about?! Great vlog- look forward to the next one!
I am largely a monogamous knitter, every now and then I go mad casting things on but then I end up putting them all away and just working on one at a time😂. I think your stripes is beautiful but that's only because those initial colours are so me! I wouldn't fade the advent or put it in the blanket. I think it was Sandra of Cherryheart fame who said that she is quite happy to let advents sit until she feels sure of what they want to be,that's what I would do. Thanks for a lovely podcast, I do love seeing what's in other people's project bags and I love all the other odds and ends too, like make up,skincare, candles and books. Have a lovely week.
Hi. Found you as a suggestion on my T.V. for episode 30 and am now going back to watch your earlier videos. I really am enjoying your format. As a long-time crocheter who dabbles in knitting, your sock info especially intersts me. The Crazy Sock Lady is someone I also follow. Love your gardening too! After retiring, I stopped getting the acrylic nails and found I can finally grow my own nails. As a new follower from across the pond, I'm chuffed to have found you! (What a great word.) Thank you.
How lovely to see you again and all your lovely wips. I only have something on my needles and don't cast anything on till I've finished what I'm working on. Only time I would cast a second project on is it I'm hooligans want something easy and small to work on then I cast on socks. We are all different and as long as we are happy with what we make it doesn't matter at all how many we have cast on. I think I'd knit the jumper again but have the colours fading as you knit it. Love Marion xxx
I think the striped sweater WIP would look really nice with the Log Cabin squares! Such a fun knit! I have several socks, languishing, 2 blankets with finishing details, Cozy Comfort Throw, just started, One Raglan sweater with the body left to do and another Summer sweater in the planning! We all need a good cleanup! Clears the mind! LOL
Hello Sherbert! I used to have loads of WIPs but I don’t have so many now. I have my northeasterly and a patchwork blanket hibernating. I’m knitting a jumper and two pairs of socks and I have a crochet shawl on the go but that’s it. Oh and two other EPP blankets I forgot about. Ah… so many more than I realised. Haaaa!😂
Loved this episode! That pink collar you’re wearing is lovely ❤ It is so Sherrie! I think the yarn would be great in your log cabin blanket. To be completely honest, I’m not sure I can picture you in a sweater knitted in those colours! I only have one WIP at the moment, and that’s getting finished this evening: a pair of socks for my partner. I usually have 2 WIPs on the go, usually a pair of socks and something else, but I’ve just finished my Moby sweater (finished it in Korea, yay 🎉) and I haven’t found what I want to knit on next… Good look with the frogging!
Thanks for sharing all your WIP’s! I need to go though all my WIP’s. I used to be a monogamous knitter but not so much recently. I’ve just been casting on all the things and not finishing anything. It’s time to be a monogamous knitter once again 😂 I enjoy it so much more when I have one project that I’m knitting on ❤
Another lovely podcast, loved seeing all your wips. I currently have a long term crochet granny square scrappy blanket on the go, a pair of socks and a baby blanket. That’s enough for me or I feel overwhelmed. Love a mocha but my go to is a coconut latte as a treat, normally when I visit the hairdressers. I think lay the yarn for the jumper out in a fade and see if it speaks to you, if not use it in the blanket. X
Thank you Sherrie, it was lovely to see all your wips. When I first started my podcast I had 20+ wips! 😮 I challenged myself as part of starting a podcast to get my wip count down. I now hover around 5 wips at a time which feels less overwhelming. I still get the cast on bug occasionally though. Look forward to seeing how you go getting your wip count down. Amy 💜
Hahaha so much fun to see your many wips. I have multiple wips too, and am knitting most of the time on 3 or 4 of them. Love to have multiple projects, because then I don’t get boared.😂
I agree. Frog the sweater. The colors were too bold. A fade with bigger stripes would be nice. I have at least as many wips as you, probably more! But I work on them slowly and enjoy going back and forth between them.
Lovely to see what you have on the needles. I loved seeing the log cabin blanket squares so much I’m thinking of doing some with scraps and donate it/them (blankets) to our local age care. I don’t have as many wips but I don’t count my socks as I just have to have them on the needles.
Wow Sherrie, you love your WIP's! I've always been mainly one on the go kind of gal. Possibly two if I was feeling daring!😂😂 Even with my blankets that took me ages, I always liked to be solely focused on the one thing at a time. I think for me, most of my projects were not from patterns and just from my head, so if I put them down for long periods of time, I just forgot what on earth I was doing! Since the beginning of 2022, my crafting mojo totally left me. I started two blanket projects last April, but put them both down shortly after. I haven't bought yarn for over a year!😱 Strangely, this Easter I've felt that I've wanted to pick up one and try and work on it again. Maybe I just need to try and get back into the crafting rhythm again. During lockdown I was watching so many crafting vlogs and had exhausted them, so I decided to watch some beauty vlogs for women of my age. Having hit my mid forties and been lazy with my skincare routine, I decided I needed to watch some vlogs for recommendations for good products for my skin age. It has got me into self care and make up in a big way. I have always loved beauty products and loved watching vlogs which sort of mixed craft with daily life and beauty also. My kids never liked hot drinks. I started drinking tea when I was about 10 so it was a weird concept for me that they just didn't relish a hot drink on a really cold day! My eldest left home last year and said he wanted to start to try coffee. I told him to start with lattes as they were a gentle coffee taste so he did. That eased him into stronger coffee and now he adores coffee! I love a latte and a mocha. I do love a nespresso, but I also love the sheer ritual of making a good coffee from scratch. It is soothing! Just loved this podcast Sherrie. I loved the colour you bring to it, and you are adorably beautiful xxx🥰🥰🥰
This was so much fun to see all of your WIPs, Sherrie! I especially love all of your beautiful scrappy projects. Thank you so very much for your sweet words about me & my channel! That’s so kind of you! 💓💓💓
I just found your podcast. It is amazingly entertaining. Loved to see all of your wips. Keep up the great work. I think that stripped sweater should be finished with a solid color. Leaving the stripping at the top. It will go well no matter what decision you make. Have a great time.😂😂😂
All your projects are so lovely Sherrie. That Hexi blanket is so pretty, I’m glad u didn’t frog it! I really want to try some magic heel socks, probably for Minnie so they will fit her for longer, and for gifts too. I agree with the stripes sweater, although the colours are lovely they don’t seem to suit your normal style as they are in the jumper. I was going to make an Oslo hat with some Dk for Minnie but I’m not sure now. Thanks for sharing your WIP’s, I think going through them all gives you a bit of a fresh start and you are able to make better decisions about them . Xx
I just cast off The Land Of Sweets cowl. I loved it and would definitely make another one. I just used a scrappy bag of yarn from a homemade advent box from a friend.
UFO's! Not counting the sewing ones, I'm crocheting a pair of fingerless gloves for my daughter's bus driver. I'm knitting my first shawl and first pair of fingerless gloves. And my mother-in-law just sent a HUGE box of yarns! I'm so excited!
The yarn in your Stripes will look beautiful as a fade. WIPs: I’m in a bit of a pickle as I have too much yarn but don’t like having lots of WIPs. I’ve a jumper (Evenfall) nearing completion, another jumper (Stegner) on straights as I don’t have enough circulars, but it’s cables so is a nice one to dip into. Socks that I think are too large for me so I’m ‘pondering’ their future. Many planned, bagged up and ready to go projects so I can cope with the yarn-guilt stress. Nails: love them painted, but I paint my own, and just periodically as my nails are crazy super strong and tough, but polish weakens them. Lovely episode. Always a joy 💜
I have one long-term WIP, the beekeeper's quilt, working one hexi-puff a day. I knit one pair of socks a month and my other WIP is DRK Everyday cowl by Andrea Mowry. That;s enough for me. I have completed 3 throws, a jacket, 2 pairs of socks and 2 cushion covers already this year. I am retired though so plenty of time on my hands right now before gardening season starts
This IS my 1st time watching ! 😊 I like all the things. Projects , drinks, books, places , etc . I have too many projects started, and trying to work through my scrap stash, and completing older projects...so I can start new patterns, with my nicer collections of yarn. 😂 many podcasts of this type, inspire me to stay on task! And I’ve allowed myself to rip out those, that I’m not really enjoying anymore.
Personally I get overwhelmed by having too many WIP’s on the go so try and reign my cast ons a bit! I like a big project, something really challenging and something to do in front of the tv! Just me and what works for me! I love seeing all your makes though as it makes for an entertaining video! Thanks Sherrie x
Really enjoyed finding out about all your wips. Thank you for sharing them with us! I agree with you that sometimes you just have to frog them though if you’re no longer feeling it for them. I have three active wips on the go at the moment: a crochet blanket (nearly finished!), a knitted jumper and some knitted socks. I also have another crochet wip that is dormant and will be reactivated once I finish my blanket. I prefer not to have more than 2-3 things on the go at once as I like to get stuff finished off. But I have a LOT of plans and things ready to go as future wips! Have a lovely weekend x
I currently have four things on the go two new grand daughter due soon so doing loads baby stuff.Doing myself a cardi and I use odd bits premature for hospital.Good luck on your wips.
Love your podcasts and I think we should all do "what makes us happy" !! Please could you show us how you wind your yarn, your cakes always look so neat, thank you for sharing your wips xx
Perfect day to cozy up with you Sherrie,,,Loved all UR Wips,,,understand frogging the sweater,,,,,Maybe the fade would be better,,,, Love the dk magic heel socks,,,,from Judy will definitely buy it when out,,,, Love the magic heel socks for my boot socks over other socks,,,They stay on well,,,!!! I don't count my blankets,,,I have 3 on the go,,,long term,,,,for sure,,, Socks!!!too many ,,,I have counted up 6 pairs on Needles,,,!!!must get them off before starting any more,,,,try and start fresh for June, !! 3 shawls,,,,On Needles,,, 2 hats,,,,2 fingerless mitts,,,2 cowls,,,, I have had a bad habit of casting on alot since january,,,, So enjoyed UR episode ,,,,perfect for a wet Windy nasty stormy day ,,, Elaine😍😍😍🏡🏡🏡
Hey, newbie here. I was looking for another podcaster to watch along side little drops of wonderful, and I’ve found one I love!! So thank you!! About to binge watch your channel while I’m off sick 😷 xxx
It’s obviously the season for sorting WIPS. I’ve finished three in the past month and feel so good as a result. Love all your projects, thank you for sharing xx
Loved this episode! Your log cabin squares are so fun. I think I’m going to have to copy you on that one. Also, your darling pink dress! So pretty! Good luck with the frogging and the finishing. ❤
With the sweater I'd suggest you frog it, arrange in a fade and loosely string them together in balls/unwound minis using a needle and some scrap yarn, then leave them for a few weeks/months and come back to them. If the fade is still appealing to you when you see them with a fresh perspective then you might be closer to knowing what they should become. As for WIPs I'm on 19 at the moment inc 5 blankets so I really need to clear the decks on the simpler things this year and at least 1-2 of the blankets. Soooooo many other things I want to make and other crafts too. 😘
I realized I feel refreshed after reevaluating wips and coming to terms with them. (The same goes for my stash.) I agree with you about the stripes sweater. Those colors go really well with your log cabin. Thank you for keeping me company while I got through ¾ of a blanket bind off. That scattered petals looks lovely!
I like to have Mochas in the winter and usually when I travel for some reason. I do drink coffee every morning and right now I do add in a collagen, cacao, and coconut type supplement called a "dry bomb" It's not sweet and just me trying to have nicer hair and nails. I wish I could have my nails done, but I work as a nurse and I really shouldn't have all those beautiful artificial nails I keep seeing, but I love to watch videos and every now and then I like to try a new polish and such. Using the hand sanitizer all the time really dries out my nails and they peel (so frustrating). I would love to see you plan which yarns go well together in each square for your log cabin blanket. I think you would like it more. I have a feeling you might be a little like me, while I love the idea of scrappy, I just can't go all out random! haha. I'm currently working on 6 WIPs and was thinking about starting another (printed up the pattern even). One is a granny stripe blanket, but I don't have any scraps that I haven't already used yet, so I'm just waiting to finish up projects so I can have scraps, but I really love having that blanket to work on. I have a pair of socks in a "Spring" color that are vanilla, I'm just messing with stitch counts to see if I might like a different fit better. My main project takes concentration with two panels of lace, but I'm excited to have it finished for summer. "Wild Wind" My other projects are seasonal (cowl, x-mas socks, and wrist warmers) and I'm just not motivated to work on them. I might frog the wrist warmers. I forgot I had that many things on needles! My new project I want to start is a crochet pillow and its shaped like a succulent. I love seeing all the different things you are up to. It's fun!
Lovely to see you. I used to be a monogamous knitter but after watching different podcasts, now perhaps it may be three. One crochet one knitting and then some socks, more than that I would be in a spin. Thanks for podcasting.
I just finished a Battenberg blanket. I loved making it and I love the finished project! Now I am doing a corner-to-corner crochet blanket I'm calling The Riot of Colour. I'm using all remaining scraps and minis in absolutely no order and it is a lot of fun. I'm using a 2.5 crochet hook so it is going to take FOREVER!! I loved seeing all your WIPs.
You should put the stripes sweater yarn into the log cabin blanket. It suits that pallet. The stops sweater would be great in the lighter colors you often choose. I usually have three wipes going at once. One of them is usually socks. Great episode!
Sherri, I always love hearing you talk about your projects. I agree with the stripes sweater… too bright. Hear me out: what if you grab a neutral (cream or a light brown) and knit the same sweater but alternate the bright stripes between the neutral stripes. (Cream, bright, cream, bright, cream)
I absolutely loved this episode. It's so much fun to see other knitters wips and know that I am not alone in enjoying multiple projects all at once. My Wips go back to 2019! I have 10 knitting wips and 3 long term crochet scrappy blankets. I would love to get at least half of my knits finished this year. That is my goal anyway. I usually re-asses my wips in January to see what is staying on the needles and what is being frogged. I think at one point I had nearly 20 so I am definitely making progress.
Absolutely LOVE MOCHA coffee. Been drinking them for years due to my heart races with too much caffeine. As for WIPS I have many of these too. For me I struggle to make big projects like blankets and sweaters in summer as it’s hot, then I get distracted by new projects. Plan is to finish my blanket wips this winter, the weather is starting to cool down now (I live in Australia). Love all your videos too, thank you.❤
Lovely episode - my advice is to frog the Stripes and knit it in a fade. When I'm in doubt I spend too much time looking at hashtags and projects on Ravelry - perhaps that might help you make a decision, it's a pretty pattern and I still think it would look good in a fade.
Thank you! I have tried to make the Oslo hat about 7 times and always frog it. I love the way it looks, I get past the brim and slightly up the body(?) and then hate knitting it. Let us know if Petite Knit's other hat is more enjoyable to knit
I'm inspired by your log cabin blanket! I've been saving some worsted weight yarn in shades of blue and I'm going to swatch a square as soon as I get a few more wips finished. I haven't counted how many wips I have, but lately I've found it overwhelming! I've been choosing one or two and working hard to finish them. I need to learn how to sew things together well. That'd be a huge help. I have several projects which have stalled out at that stage.
Hahaha! I am doing the same thing this year. The only WIPS I am not concerned about finishing this year is blankets. I have 3 blankets, 2 shawls (it was 3 until I frogged 1 this week), 3 pairs of socks, and a pair of fingerless mitts. I did allow myself to cast on a baby sweater today, but that is only because I recently finished a huge shawl, and there are some family members who just announced they are expecting, so I better get a wiggle on!
I usually have several wips on the go and always a pair of socks. Currently I'm working on two pairs of socks, a shawl, and a sweater. I'm also working on a crochet blanket. In my quilting studio I have four projects on the go!
With your stripes sweater, it sounds more like you don't like the combination of colours rather than the actual pattern. You could always frog it then put aside the colours that you think you would like for the stripes and put the rest in your log cabin blanket. As you get other yarns you could add to the sweater stash till you're ready to knit it.
In total I probably have about 20 or so WIPs! In reality I'm usually only working on a few of them at a time - different types of projects depending on whether I want to concentrate or something more mindless.
I had a hot mocha just yesterday from Starbucks. Yummy! I guess for the pullover I'd lay the yarns out in a fade, number them, and then knit the sweater that way. I usually only have 3 WIPS. I would feel overwhelmed if I had much more than that. But everyone's different.
My two sons will be 38 and 32 in May. I’m knitting a sensible brown dk waistcoat for the eldest and a chunky bright stripey bonkers sweater for the youngest. I’m constantly amused at how the knitting reflects their personalities. 😂
Hi! The yarns in the striped sweater are beautiful but I think there needs to be a neutral between them and only a limited number of different colors used in a project to make them stand out. Just my opinion 😉
Mocha is how I got into drinking coffee. I’m still not a huge fan of the plain coffee from coffee shops (it’s just a bit too strong) so whenever I do get a coffee when out and about, it tends to be a mocha or flavoured latte. I’m always someone who has more than one WIP on the go too because I have one for knitting, one for crochet, and then a more complicated pattern (either craft) to test my skills. I wish I could just have one project and always focus on that but I can’t. I have to have a choice so I can pick which one I fancy working on at a particular time.
Good podcast interesting to see your WIPs & enthusiasm to get going I personally don’t like the stripes jumper if you finished I don’t think you would wear it so recycle yarn into a more you project I am a person that can only work on one project at a time though have patterns needles yarn in bags waiting to start on See you next time THANK YOU 🥰
The colours for your stipes sweater are beautiful, putting them into a fade might be better. Knit up a swatch and see if you like that better. Maybe even easier just wind yarn around a 2 inch ruler and see how the fade might look. I only have 2 wips at a time. A north easterly blanket ( 3 years on the needles) and a pair of socks or another garment or shawl. Any more than 2 and I feel overwhelmed.
My first time watching and it was so fun! I am struggling with finding the Blueberry Waffle Socks. Ravelry says it is out of print and I can’t find it on the links they give. Any ideas?
Hi Susan, thank you for watching! I’ve just checked Ravelry and if you keep scrolling down there’s a link which says ~ This Pattern Is Available For Free, if you click on that the pattern should pop up. It just worked for me 💕✨
Mochachinno is good but if I'm out I usually get a Chai latte. The ribbed heel sock looks interesting - I have never made socks, this could be entry level for me. If you want to make a Stipes jumper make sure your first colours suit you complexion and style. I think you are a neat fade wearer not a random messy wearer.
After many years of weekly manicures my nails weakened terribly started to split and simply would not grow beyond my fingertips. I started doing gel nails, etc. because I had no choice. Then I learned that pushing back cuticles and especially trimming them was destroying the growth beds and that’s why my nails were so bad. I stopped getting manicures and six months later my nails were strong and beautiful. I rarely get manicures and tell the clinician: “please do not touch the cuticles”. Sometimes they listen. My advice: stop getting regular manicures. Love your knitting and I hope this helps.
I'm with you on frogging the stripes sweater...and I feel that the colors were off for you.. a bit too jewel color level ...and with your coloring, softer more pastel colors would be better.. you'd be happier with one in a colorway more suited to the clothing colors you actually wear.. as always.. so enjoy sitting and knitting while you chat away!
We all fall in love with things and then out with them! Frog the jumper and put it into your blanket! I don’t think the jumper is for you sorry! Take care
IMO frog the stripes for the log cabin blanket squares. I believe that would look so much better as there are so many different colors.
Thank you!!! Yes I’m thinking the yarn would be great to add to the blanket 💓
I think a fade would look amazing!!! And Sherrie YOUR AT 10 000!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Frog the sweater then lay the yarn out in a fade and just look at it for a while and see what you feel. Enjoyable blog. Thank you!

I have 1 whip. One in, one out. That works best for my personality type.

I love the striped granny blankets - it's stunning!
Loved seeing all of your WIPs!
that sweater you're frogging would make a beautiful habitation throw!!
New subscriber here - hello from South Australia 🥰
I think your jumper would look so pretty as a fade....all that work😂😂
The yarn in your Stripes will look beautiful as a fade.
It's such a joy having you here again.I too have many projects on the go as well as sewing, sometimes I just want to finish one.
Such a fun episode Sherrie and thank you endlessly for your help with the Magic Heel Sock DK ribbed pattern!! You are a delight in every way!
Personally I would re-knit that jumper as a fade. I think you would be much happier with it x

Elaine😍😍😍🏡🏡🏡
Hey, newbie here. I was looking for another podcaster to watch along side little drops of wonderful, and I’ve found one I love!! So thank you!! About to binge watch your channel while I’m off sick 😷 xxx
Aww 🥰 thank you Laura for your lovely comment 💕💓 Hope you feel better soon x
It’s obviously the season for sorting WIPS. I’ve finished three in the past month and feel so good as a result. Love all your projects, thank you for sharing xx
lol you’re 😁 yes the yarn all unraveled was winding me up too especially because I have no control over the yarn in a video😅
Loved this episode! Your log cabin squares are so fun. I think I’m going to have to copy you on that one. Also, your darling pink dress! So pretty! Good luck with the frogging and the finishing. ❤
Hi from Nz - just found your channel - what a lovely watch - new subscriber now too xx
I have my fair share of wips but very happy to see yours--they gave me inspiration to add to mine... Thank you
I like to have Mochas in the winter and usually when I travel for some reason.
Is your quilty project bag box bottom or just flat? It’s so lovely
Gets going about 12:45
I had a hot mocha just yesterday from Starbucks.
For the sweater, what if you did a fade at the collar and then solid body and sleeves. Then you could add color on the cuffs.
I don’t know if they do them in the UK, but you might like a ‘dirty chai’ it’s a chai latte with a shot of coffee 😘
I’ve heard of a dirty chai but never had one! I’ll definitely try one this week 😜 I might even get one tomorrow. Love Chai Lattes 😋 💕
Good podcast interesting to see your WIPs & enthusiasm to get going
I personally don’t like the stripes jumper if you finished I don’t think you would wear it so recycle yarn into a more you project
I am a person that can only work on one project at a time though have patterns needles yarn in bags waiting to start on
See you next time THANK YOU 🥰
The colours for your stipes sweater are beautiful, putting them into a fade might be better.
I would love a tutorial of some kind
Agreed sweater isn’t the best. Best used in another project
Take care
🤗🧶💕
Will you get on with crocheting
